tell me about flower and garden...

Topiaries, food and beautiful weather!! Absolutely love F&G Festival. It's so nice to walk around Epcot with all the pretty smells and colors. I also get some great flower pot and gardening ideas while walking around. Enjoy!

Must do for us! The topiaries are beautiful, but the food offerings are AMAZING! I’m not big on the offerings at food and wine because I tend to like foods that aren’t “heavy”. The food offerings at flower and garden are light. Doing it again this year!

We've been going every year for about the last 5 years. The topiaries are great, the food booths are great, there are special gardening related booths located throughout WS as well. I have bought things for my garden many times. My only complain is the Festival Center is only open Friday, Sat and Sun and our trips rarely extend to weekends, we tend to get there late Sunday afternoon and leave Friday morning.

Bump the F&G thread to ask if anyone knows when they typically announce the outdoor kitchen menus? I'm Surprised it isn't up yet as the start of F&G isn't far off.

We accidentally did F&G on our 1st trip in 2006 and everyone but my daughters mother loved it, I do not know what is flowering at that time that effected her but her allergies went into overdrive.

F&G is our fav time to go, as well. Topiaries are really stunning, and the butterfly tent last year was a blast. I'm sure some may disagree, but we much prefer it over Food and Wine, mostly due to the insane crowds during F&W which transforms Epcot into a shoulder to shoulder drunk fest.

I love Flower and Garden.... I take lots of great pictures. And I have taken the photos, blown some of them up and framed so many!! Depending on colors, etc. I've used them for wall hangings in my house! This is my way of always having a piece of WDW in just about every room and no one really knows!! Most people think they are just pictures of gardens! I have some great ones of the UK area (behind Twinings Tea shop)!!!
The food offerings the last couple years have been great too! If you are into gardening..... whether its for vegetables or flowers... there are some great seminars!! You can pick up a lot of tips.... even for an amateur! I picked up some great ideas for my flower beds!!!

We did Flower & Garden last year and are doing it again this year. We ABSOLUTELY loved it! Epcot is so beautiful. We didn't really do any specific events, but we so enjoyed just walking around and looking at all the scenery they create. Its just gorgeous. And its not just flowers and topiaries, they grow lots of fruits and veggies all over the place, we really enjoyed looking and reading everything about them as well. The food booths are great, a really fun addition. I would say if anything is a must-do, it would be strolling around the World Showcase to take in all the beauty!

Same here. We didn't even know it was going on before we got there...but I absolutely fell in love with it!

We went last year. I thought there were a lot of food booths with many great selections. Several of the food options were healthy - a favorite of mine was the watermelon-arugula salad with feta cheese and balsamic dressing (Urban Eats booth). The desserts were yummy, too - the pineapple soft serve was a hit with my whole family.

In addition, it's just really pretty during F & G, and a nice way to welcome Spring.

Totally agree about the lighter/healthier food options!

This is a genius idea -- I'm going to copy it! :) I've been trying to figure out what to put on the wall in our new guest room, and thanks to your wonderful idea, I now have my answer!!!

Several people also mentioned that area that's not usually open to the public that has merchandise and booths...last year I didn't find out about that until we were LEAVING the park (I was so bummed!), but it will be one of the first areas I visit this year. :)

I'm wondering about it also. We haven't been in at least 10 years, back when the concerts were called "Flower Power" concerts and there were no food booths, So much new!

We went last year for the first time (And again a month later I should add) It was really neat. We loved it. It is so pretty. We are going again opening weekend this year. I personally enjoy it more than food and wine festival.

Definitely looking forward to this festival. Anyone done the free tea garden tour in UK? I might try it if we have time (two adults, no kids).

On our first trip with kids, we hit the last day. Peter Pan and Wendy played on one of the playscapes with our daughters. I have no photos because that was before iphones and my husband had the camera.

Anyhoo....

What are your favorite dishes? We plan to graze around the park that day and everything looks so yummy.
