Tell me about Epcot's Nine Dragons please!!!

It's not bad, as PP said, it's pretty much what you would get at your local Chinese restaurant. The good thing is there is rarely a wait and you can do walk ins most days. It's nice and cool inside and the service is o.k. Nothing great, nothing bad. We tend to drop in for either lunch or supper every trip because it's easy.

Tried it for the first time (in 25+ trips) this last June. New favorite.

The atmosphere is quiet, serene, gorgeous. The service was top notch. And, the food was worth the prices. We all (4) loved our meal here. It was a welcome respite from the hot chaos that Epcot was those days (Frozen Ever After opening…).

I can’t recommend it enough (and we have a ton of good Chinese restaurants around here…but none as “total package” that Nine Dragons was)…

It doesn't get a lot of love on these boards but after years of avoiding it we tried it several years ago and it was a family pleaser. We plan on returning this year as we are big on rotating restaurants in attempts to keep them "fresh" for us at Disney. We plan on ordering unique items and not stuff we can order at Panda Express! :-)

The DIS Unplugged team ate there recently (this summer I believe), and they all enjoyed it!

It's been a couple years since I've been there but I had the fish and it was the best fish I've ever had - sooo good!!

We eat there almost every trip. It's usually our last day late lunch place. We've always had wonderful food and service.

I love their salt and pepper shrimp with spicy noodles... that is NOT something I can EVER get at ANY local Chinese restaurant where we live, so I always get it there. Their appetizers are also nicer and more upscale that the typical fried stuff at your local place. Presentation is beautiful, and again, much nicer than your local corner Chinese restaurant.

Nine Dragons is much nicer than any other Chinese restaurant we've ever dined at.

We ate there for the first time three weeks ago and really enjoyed it. It was comfortable and uncrowded. The server was attentive and pleasant. We did a walk up and had no problem in getting in
for lunch. Plus with an annual pass there is a 10% discount for lunch. Oh, and the food was good too!! Very nice presentation and delicious. We will go back.

I finally tried it on my last trip last year after years and years of bad reviews and they were right! It was the worst meal of our trip and I love Chinese food. I got the kung pau chicken I believe and I had to trade with my boyfriend. It was just overly sauced and gross. His was better than mine but barely edible. I can't even remember what it was. We so wished that we had gone with one of the tried and true places instead, but my smart rear end was on a mission to try every TS joint in the Kingdom.

The kung pao chicken is one of our favorites. Highly SPICED but not by any means "saucy". It's a welcome trade for us from most places that think that Kung Pao has to be in a thickened brownish sauce. I'm sorry that it didn't meet your expectations, it's a must do ADR for my college kids.

we went last year and really enjoyed it, we were on DDP and the swapped our desert for starters. one of the more quiet places in disney if you after something a bit more peaceful. HTH

I am from a small town so most of our Chinese places are sub par. PF Changs is probably the closest thing we have in a bigger city nearby to Nine Dragons and I think ND is better. Honey Sesame Chicken is a great dish there.

My family and I ate at Nine Dragons on our last visit to WDW and we all enjoyed our meal. The waitress was very friendly and happy to answer any questions we had, the food arrived promptly and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

In terms of the food, we didn't have a problem with any dish we ordered and all of us were impressed by its quality, especially as my Dad had read some unfavorable reviews of the place before we went, and it’s one of the restaurants we're most looking forward to visiting again on our next trip.

I'd suggest going somewhere else for dessert though. When you consider how many snack options there are in Epcot, there's nothing here that particularly stands out.

We always skip dessert and go to France for a pastry or chocolate mousse

This.

We LOVE Nine Dragons, and visit a couple times per trip. I'm not a drinker by any means, but they have a frozen drink that I can't get enough of (name escapes me at the moment). Also the best Hot-n-Sour soup I've had. We will be there in a little over a month and I can't wait.
