Tell me about DTD please

Yeah plenty to do in downtown Disney, and like you asked you can peruse the hotel lobbies also if you need an extra time sink

Went explored Downtown Disney on our first day (no park that day). There are lots of shops and stuff to look at (World of Disney is great). There are also restaurants and I think a movie theatre if you really have time to kill.

One of the most underrated spots IMO is the lounge of Napa Rose in the GCH. It is walk up first come fist serve both at the bar and in the lounge. They do serve full menu, but is a great place to go grab some drinks, appetizers and desserts.
Not to hijack the thread, but is there a dress code for the lounge at Napa Rose? I wanted to pop in for a drink and appetizer next month, but don't want to be under dressed!

I had a very nice dinner at Catal two weekends ago. I'd recommend checking out this restaurant. And I agree that World of Disney could easily keep you busy for 3 hours.

My adult daughter and I love to share Bananas Foster on the balcony at Ralph Brennan's. Sometimes you can time it so it's during fireworks. I also think they have fabulous dinners and it's a fun place to be. I *personally* don't like to be inside, though, and will always go with the outdoor areas because it's very crowded and loud inside, especially when there are musicians playing. I don't like it when I can't hear or think, and feel like someone is always directly behind me.

I love Trader Sam's! They have good food options, too. It's also fun to have a drink and relax by the outdoor fireplace.

DTD is a fun place to wander through. I've only been to the movie theater there once because I never want to commit that much time to something I can do at home!

Since it's at Disneyland, you'll see all manner of dress there. I myself would feel self-conscious in cut-offs and a tank top, but people do wear things like that. You might also see people dressed to the teeth. For the most part, it's very casual, though.

I love browsing the Vault store, the art store, and the store with the Star Wars and comic themed stuff.

What store is this? I don't think it was there on our last trip, four years ago. My family would love something like this.

I have a love/hate with Trader Sam's. Their seating protocol, or lack thereof, is terrible so for a for sure good time, I'd try but have a solid back up plan like the lounge at the Napa Rose or Hearthstone both at the GCH.

Is the Build a bear shop still open? I thought I heard it was going to close, anybody know?
