We have been to WDW many times but have never eaten before the park is open. We are trying Donald Breakfast in AK on June 11 at 8am. A few Questions please. Any expierence???

1. Taking the bus? Do they run that early and where would we ask at the POP what time the buses for AK run?
2. Once at AK where do we enter front gate? Is there a CM out to direct you to the entrance gate?

The busses should start running at 7:00. When you go to enter AK you will enter all the way to the right. There are lots of CM's everywhere. They have a sheet and will check you off. There are CM's at every turn in the park directing you to the restaurant. It is a lot of fun.

what Heather said :)

I loved Breakfastasaurus. The food was decent and the characters spent ample time at each table- plus you get into AK early :thumbsup2

We've had breakfast at Donald's several times before the park opened, and we've never had any trouble getting there by bus. We usually catch the bus at a little past 7 and have plenty of time to get there. Once you get to AK, as Heather said, there will be plenty of CM's around to make sure you don't have any trouble getting where you're going. :)

I was told that we'd have to drive or take a taxi when I did our ADRs. Anyone know why?

VERY BAD INFO!

We have gone to Donalds for the past three years for an 8AM reservation. We always take the resort bus, and as we are driving into the park (around 7:30 to 7:45 or so) we always see long lines of cars waiting at the park gate. They don't let them in until a few minutes before the park opens.

We catch a bus from our resort around 7:10 and get there in plenty of time.

Thanks! I'll be sure to modify my notes for that ADR! :thumbsup2

Thanks to all who posted. I knew someone on Dis would have the answers.
We cann't wait to try this new expierence. I know DS8 will be happy.

DO NOT DRIVE TO DONALD'S !!!!!!

Take the bus or you won't get in until park opening.

Once in the CM's will guide you there.

Now that being said, when we went Dec 2004, It was the worst meal we had at Disney and a terrible experience overall. The server was rude, the characters were very rushed, just flew in for a quick picture and left right away and the food was not replenished when empty. I had to ask several times for certian dishes to be refilled and this was a 8:45am. The food that was our was cold and tasteless.

Others have had an excellent experience at Donald's. Maybe we were there on an off day but the hold at the toll booth is an every day occurance. We have not been back for another try as there are places that we have always had a good experience at.

Thanks for the information on the toll both traffic. We will take the bus.

I see you don't live that far from the world. How lucky for you.

Sorry you had such a bad expierence with this character meal. Our DS choice. We are not big breakfast family a little friut and cereal most mornings. That will be hard to mess up (I hope).

We have eaten at Donald's several times. Only once was our ADR [PS at the time] before official park opening. I have to say while all our experiences there have been good, the times that we went after park opening have been better then the once we had the early ADR.

We have eaten at Donald's serveral times too! It's my husband's favorite!! CM Neal is the best!!
