Tell me about DL at Christmas!!!

Christmas is the BEST time of year to go imo. This is the first time I've seen the icicles on the castle and I've been every year for the last several years.
It gets super busy at times, so just go there knowing that, plan ahead, prepare to deal with crowds, relax and enjoy it.

Maybe the icicles lights are new, I hope they keep them, they are beautiful.:goodvibes

A quote from a guest yesterday... "Holy Moley, its a freaking Zoo here! AHHHHHHHHHH!"

and that is just at DCA :-P

But it's a fun and friendly zoo. I may of not been there today but now I have next year to look forward to.:santa:

Maybe someone with more expertise can tell me about when the Christmas decorations go down in the parks? It's a good guess for it to be tommorow, but I really want it to be later rahter than sooner since I got a spiffy new camera that I want to capture some holiday magic with...

it usually goes down at the beginning of the 2nd week.

Christmas was busy at both parks. It was soooo busy that i slept 10 hours last night. I was just that tired working. :D

We went last night after dinner and didn't find the parks as crowded as it was last year at Christmas... Maybe we just got lucky... It was a great night for us... We had very minimal waits for the rides that we wanted to go on and we waited may 30 minutes to get on Nemo. I noticed the clock on the Train Station was at 11:59 when we were leaving... I am soo tired now, but boy was it worth it :goodvibes

Does Santa dress up like Goofy? Also the parade of dreams, I believe that is the normal parade at DL, is it the same at Christmas only with a Christmas theme, I can't wait to see the Alice In Wonderland float with the Tweedles in the teacups, I missed that this summer and can't wait to see it. Also does DL and CA sell Christmas merchandise, like the hats, ears, sweatshirts, etc. Thank you so much.:goodvibes

I am not sure that I have ever seen the Parade of Dreams, but I think the holiday parade is its own parade and not just a holiday-fied version of another one.

And, yes, they sell holiday themed items in the parks.

Thank you for letting me know. So I am guessing the Alice in Wonderland float with the Tweedles in the teacups, etc, is out at Christmas???

Just thought I would bump this up and see if anyone else had anything to add since people should be home from their Christmas vacations, etc. Would love to hear all the exciting decorations, photos, characters, etc.:)

Planning a trip to DL for 2008 instead of WDW to view the Christmas festivities. We typically go to WDW the second week in December. Can anyone recommend a good week to go to DL? Is there a week to avoid, other than Christmas week itself? WDW has Pop Warner week with hundreds of football players and cheerleaders to avoid.

Just thought I would give this another bump to see if anyone had anything to add, also does anyone have any Christmas shots from around Toontown? Thanks.:)

I just am bumping this up, just curious if they sell lots of Christmas merchandise in DL and CA?? Let me know, like the hats, Mickey ears, sweatshirts, etc. Is it easy to come by?? Thanks.:goodvibes
