Is it worh it? I personally think its worth it and wouldn't go to disney without it.
How do I get it? When you book your vacation, tell the person on the phone or if you book online, choose the magic your way plus dining package. You can book by calling 1-800-828-0228
How much is it? It costs about $38 per adult, per night of stay.

I'll give you some info: For each night of your stay (not days), each person gets a counter service fast food meal, a snack and a sit down table service meal or buffet. With counter service, you get an entree, drink and dessert.
With snack, its usually a drink or something under $4
With table service, you get an appetizer (one each), an entree, a drink and dessert.

Some notes: No alcohol is included. You can exchange 2 table service for a signature restaurant (really expensive fancy restaurants) or dinner shows, you can use 1 table service for a character meal. Not all restaurants participate. See the list at www.allearsnet.com in the dining section. Also, you can use your dining credits as you wish. Any person in your group can use them at any time/any day. They expire on midnight on the day you check out of your hotel so if there are 3 people going for 4 nights, you get 12 counter service, 12 snacks, and 12 table service meals for your group that anyone can use at any time until midnight on your last day. No, sorry. It has to be part of a package and it is for the length of your stay. 2 nights for 2 people would give you each 2 counter service, 2 table service and 2 snack credits.

We did the DDP last week and loved it!

I wouldn't think it would be worth it though if you used it primarily for lunch, or if you didn't go to some of the pricier restaurants. For example, my DH and I ate at the Sci-Fi for lunch and paid cash because it was less than $30 for the 2 of us and we wanted to save a credit for a signature place that was 2 credits.

Overall, it was more than enough food and if you are smart, you can even get breakfast out of it because a lot of the breakfast things like parfaits and muffins can either be desserts or snacks.
