O.K. we have never done this before. What exactly happens during the meal if there is no character interaction? I've heard you have your photo taken prior to your meal. Is this worth 2 credits on the ddp? Please give me the good and the bad. Thanks, Jenn

After getting your picture taken with Cinderella you wait for your name
to be called.
While you are eating the Fairy Godmother comes out and does a little
show where she sings "Bippty Boppty Boo" and the Mice dance along
and will announce Birthdays, anniversaries.
The mice will then go around to the tables and you can get your picture taken with them.
You picture pack will be delivered to your table while you are eating.
It was interesting to get to eat in the castle but the food was not very
good, it was nice to do once but don't plan on going back.
I didn't think it was worth 2 TC for this.

The food looked and tasted like it had been under warming lights for a while.
My DS who usually loves eating but only took a few bites of the so called pasta
that was all dried out and very unappealing.
My Salmon was dry and asparagus was burnt and shriveled.
I know I'm not he only one who feels this way about the food-
I should have listened to all the neg. reviews but was all excited
about eating in the castle.

PP posted what does happen during dinner. I disagree about the food though, I thought it was good, not great, but quite good. I had the spring roll appy and really enjoyed it, the bread and butter was delicious, and the pasta entree was amazing! My DH and Mom had the prime rib and both liked it.
I don't use the dining plan anyway so I can't comment on the 2 credits, but we went last February for dinner and this coming February we are going back for Lunch just to try something different but still be in the castle.

Not on the dining plan, but we loved our meal there.
Food was good....prime rib and pork loin. BLT salad yummy! Service great!!
We are booked again for Nov. :)
Gotta love the castle.

We have had dinner at the Castle the last 3 times we have gone. The first time they didn"t do the show. The last time we had 7 people 3 of whom where little kids. I had the crab and corn chowder which I thought was awesome. But it is really all about just being inside the Castle. We also had a cake for my daughters 2nd. Birthday. She loved it!! If I can I will go there everytime I go. I always feel like a princess when I'm there.

My husband and I are going to eat dinner here a few days before our anniversary , but I am going to call and try to arrange a little surprise for him;) we have already paid OOP for this...saved our dining plan credits for other meals:santa: As long as the food is edible we will be ok, it's all about eating in the castle for us... it will be our first time:hug:

I love CRT! The pretzel bread and honey mustard butter was AMAZING!! I was there in 2005 when it was different and had the ddp then and had the ddp again this time. I feel the same as I did then, very worth it!! The show was good, I enjoyed having a picture brought to us, and I quite enjoyed the food! DF and I both had the prime rib.The gratin potato it comes with is to die for! DD had teh chicken tenders and they were also delish, I could have eaten a wholeplate full of them!

I did a short review of CRT in mY trip report that is onmy signature! I think it is definitely worth trying once, I am going 2 x next trip!
