Tell me about CSR, please!

I chose CSR with an AP rate, tell me that I made a good choice. Me, my DH,DS8 and DD6 will be there June 5-13. We have stayed at CBR, ASMo and the Poly before. We really liked all these resorts. Tell me about the CSR. How is the food court, pools, etc. I did request the Cabanas, 1st floor ,non-smoking. Anything you can tell me about this resort will help. Thanks!

CSR is a beautiful resort that deserves to be called moderately-deluxe!

The rooms are nothing to get excited over-just so you won't be disappointed, but everything else about this place is WOW!!

The architecture/landscaping is incredible. You MUST get a surrey bike and ride all around the resort. We also wanted Cabanas, but the other sections are really something!

The pool area has a little of everything- great pool with a greater pool slide, huge hot tub, kiddie pool, sand play area, playground, volleyball area, arcade and a pool bar that also serves lunch items. You can get your mug filled there.

The Pepper Market is different than most food courts. You are seated and your drink order is taken. You then go around to the pods and make your selections. Cloth napkins and real siverware are at your table, so no running around for that stuff. Also, you pay after your meal, as you exit. This is much nicer, I believe, than standing there with your tray, looking around for your companions so you can all pay together.

The Maya Grill has a great breakfast buffet.

I'll be there the same time you are. We've never stayed at CSR before, but I'm with a teaching conference (smallish). My husband and 2 kids are coming with me and we're adding on days after the conference for pure pleasure. I think the pool should keep my family busy while I'm working.

I see you're from Myrtle Beach. We go there every year, and are heading there when we leave Disney!

Epcotfan and Buzz2001: Thank you for sharing your websites. I feel better all ready! You must really like this resort. I love the dig site pool, and I think the kids will too. I think the Pepper Market looks yummy. All those pictures of the food made me hungry. This resort looks so relaxing.


buckeye: Maybe we will see each other. I do plan on spending a lot of time at the dig site. We like to take a day in between parks to relax. After all, this is a vacation! Oh, and yes I live north of Myrtle Beach. I have already started on my tan. We have had some nice weather the past few days. It will be really hot when you get here. I hope you have a great time.

CSR is a great resort! Just this a.m. we switched our reservations from the Contemporary to CSR. I agree with Susy - CSR is definitely a moderately-deluxe resort! That's a perfect way to decribe it. My DH loves the Contemporary so we were going to go back there but this a.m. I persuaded him to go back to CSR instead. Besides we're booked at the Contemporary for Thanksgiving so he'll get there once this year. I think the pool at CSR is much better and I love the Pepper Market. He loves Mexican food too and Pepper Market has a breakfast burrito he still talks about. We had to get 2 rooms at CSR because there are 5 of us and I'm pretty excited about having 2 bathrooms! Each of the kids will have a bed to themselves. They're pretty excited about that! I can't wait!

Wow, I hope you like the resort and it lives up to your expectations! I actually just changed my reservation from the Contemporary back to CSR. I'm travelling with 3 other people and we decided it would be much nicer to have two rooms at CSR than 1 at the Contemporary. (Everyone wants their own bed) Plus, I just love the Dig Site theme pool and the tropical atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
