Tell Me About Coral Reef!

Thinking about dinner at Coral Reef for an upcoming Fall 2010 trip. I've seen mixed reviews, but nothing too recently. Please tell me your thoughts and opinions!

I thought it was OK. I enjoyed my meal there, but it's not at the top of my list to go back to on my next trip.

The aquarium was neat, and I think it is especially interesting to kids. I just had an unfortunate seat location, on the top row, with my chair facing away from the windows!

The shrimp appetizer we had was excellent, and my friends Tilapia was quite good, but my Shrimp Ceaser salad left a lot to be desired.

If you're in to the setting, I would say go, it was a fun experience.

We had a good meal there, but felt pressured into ordering our desserts when we ordered our meals even though we really were too tired and full to eat them by the time we were done eating. The aquarium was a good distraction for the kids and we had a great location (a booth in the first row), but I'm not sure if we will go back the next time. Also I didn't feel that they had much of a selection on their menu. They did have 1 steak on the menu, but you need to really like fish to eat there in my opinion.

I ate there in October and it was my second favorite meal of the trip (following California Grill). I had the seasonal catch which was grouper, and the risotto was very good. The placed is a little cramped, but otherwise I enjoyed it a lot. One think I've learned on these boards is that you can't always be steered away from a restaurant based on some bad reviews.

We ate there on our last trip and we were on the DDP. DH & I really enjoyed it. We loved the fish tank and the divers were having a lot of fun with the kids seated around the tank. while we are not going again on our next trip do to time restraints we will definitely go back again

We ate there in Dec. and it was one of our favourite restaurants. When we'd been making our ADRs it was one of the restaurants that we could have gone either way about, anyway we decided to give it another go, we were so glad that we's decided to book it. The steak that we had was cooked to perfection -I like mine well done I can get get some very burnt offerings! We had fantastic service and had a wonderful evening there

We have moved Coral Reef to a must do on our trips now. We have received great service and food, LOVE the atmosphere!
We are a family that does not eat seafood so we had always avoided this resturant but we needed an ADR at the last minute so went for it and were glad we did. Look at the menu and if it sounds good to you then try it.

We ate there last trip and everyone loved it. The kids asked if we could eat there again, so we're doing it this trip too. Food was very good, nice atmosphere & good service.

The only negatives were waiting about 20-30 past our ADR to get seated and the 5 yr old boy at the table next to us puked right in the open area between our table and theirs The staff was very quick to get it taken care of though
