Tell me about Cirtrico's, please!

I just booked dinner at Citrico's for one night next month. My friends are driving over from Tampa to visit with us, so I want it to be a nice experience. Who has been there lately? How was the food? Service? I tried to do a search but it didn't work very well.

We love it there. It's a lovely room, food and service are both great. Park Faire was not closed when we were there so I don't know how that has affected Citricos. Our only issue was they lost the special order for a birthday cake for my mother's 80th birthday and I was pretty steamed about that. Other than that though it was perfect.

We were to have gone again this May, but a kidney stone attack I had our first night at Disney put a stop to that

I am wondering how often the menu selections change. The menu on AllEars is from 10/06, and here on the DIS it is from 4/07, so nothing all that recent. I have my eye on the swordfish so hopefully they will still have that!

The Rosemary Focaccia Bread with Citrus Infused Salted Butter that the serve prior to your meal is TO DIE FOR!!!! Oh my goodness do I love that stuff!!

The shrimp feta appetizer is also delicious and is a pretty good sized portion. The small salads were a bit disappointing.

Salmon is good, pork chops are excellent, filet mignon excellent, veal shank is wonderful if you're into that sort of thing.

I also feel that they have the best desserts of all the restaurants I've been to. The last two times I've been, they've given all the girls in the party a dark chocolate princess crown around any dessert that they order.

The childrens "Dog Bone Eclairs" are really good and unique.

There are a lot pf pics of that bread on the food porn thread, so there must be something about it that people like! I love bread, so I am looking forward to it!
