Is the food good? Will we enjoy it?

Should we keep the ADRs or switch to something like Liberty Tree Tavern where we know what the food is.

We have one person in our party that will try anything. The other three like meat and potatos.

The food at Chefs de France is wonderful, and they offer a wide range of options so that even meat and potato folks would, IMHO, find something they'd enjoy. If you'll be at Epcot and want a lovely meal, go for it. I've also eaten at LTT -- but it just seems (to me, nothing negative meant here!) that you'd want to be considering options at a particular park based on where you'd be (Epcot or MK) as opposed to choosing between two totally different restaurants at different parks.... But hey, you know your plan better than I.... LTT is a character meal, so that's fun in its own right, and the food there is family style and good but very, very basic. Chefs is a little more quiet/peaceful (or maybe it just felt that way to us the day we were there) and I personally would say that the quality of the food is better....

DH and I like Chefs de France. They do have a couple of steak dishes and a roasted chicken for the meat and potatoes people in your party. The room is very airy and relaxing. I like to sit by the windows so that we can watch the people going by.

I don't remember any particular thing that I had that stands out over other things we've tried, but I know that we've enjoyed it every time we've eaten there.

I thought Chefs was fine and would take it over the Liberty Tree Tavern sponsored by Stoffers ANYDAY! LTT used WAY too much salt in all my dishes rendering them inedible. France is isn't stellar but it isn't bad - just middle of the road and at times, that is just fine.

I think this is one of the best restaurants at Disney - especially if you aren't a "big eater" and just would like some delicious soup (they bring the bread for free) and a salad or something like that. Wonderful desserts, coffee. It's a great lunch.

It's really excellent. Even the service is indifferent, just like you'd get in Paris! :) The food is remarkable. Dinner is a religious experience for recovering gluttons like us, but on our last visit, we only had lunch, and I had the best ham and cheese sandwich that has ever exists -- the food is so good that they can make ham and cheese taste special!

I'm vegetarian and my husband is a meat-and-potatoes guy, and I think everybody in your party will eat well at Chefs de France, since there's also plenty for adventurous eaters. DH thinks the steaks are "OK" (he is very particular about his steaks) and I think the macaroni and cheese is to die for!

Chefs de France is also a beautiful, fun, festive restaurant, with huge walls of windows looking out over the walkways of the World Showcase--a great place to people-watch!

While Liberty Tree Tavern gets great reviews on the DIS boards, DH and I both thought the food was just awful. My vegetarian dish had undercooked, crunchy rice or couscous (I forget which) and seemingly no spices of any kind. Blah! I forget what DH ate, but it was right up there with what you'd expect from a Stouffers frozen meal, except five times the price.

We had a wonderful dinner at Chefs de France. Both the food and the service were excellent. We will definitely be going back. :)

Thanks for posting this, JadenLayne. I have now added another restaurant to my choices based on these replies. I checked out the menu and it looks like picky DH will be able to find SOMETHING there. I'm an eat-anything-as-long-as-it's-not-moving girl and I married a won't-eat-onions,coconut,eggs,milk,coffee(or coffee flavored),olives, seafood, lamb, sweet potatoes,etc.etc.etc.etc guy. It can't be chocolate cake or yellow cake. It MUST be WHITE CAKE....or he won't eat any. I mean, where did he get this from? My DH needs medication/counseling or something. The weird thing about this is he's a GREAT cook! He'll fry me up some of the best seafood I've ever had but he won't eat any of it. Because of this I only get it (my favorite food: fried oysters) on special "me" occassions. My life can be true HELL sometimes. :headache: I'm hoping I can try buffaloe on this trip!

Considering it was a Stouffer's meal (albeit, not frozen), that's not surprising. It was, however, IMHO, rather good!
except five times the price.
Well, it is smack-dab in the middle of Frontierland -- there's a pretty hefty premium for the super location!

Hello, Is the mac chesses a dish regular kids would eat? I saw it is made with some crazy cheese and was wondering if my 3 girls would like it?

The French Pavilion shows Impressions of France on the half hour, so to really immerse yourselves in the French mood, make your ADR for, say 6:30, and see the France show at 6pm. The music and scenery are beautiful, then you can continue with the meal.

I got sole and a wonderful strawberry cake (I do believe it was a WHITE cake with strawberries! LOL!), DD ordered the set meal of roasted chicken and creme brulee, DH ordered escargot (!!!!!) and a steak, and DS ordered a hamburger (they called it something VERY fancy!). We all enjoyed our meals, our little waitress was a love, and the restaurant itself is pretty.

Oh - I almost forgot - we ordered a flatbread with cream and bacon, AWESOME!
