I'm thinking of going here for our anniversary dinner while we are at Disney. Just wanted to get some of your thoughts on it. Some people are saying to go to Yachtsman Steakhouse, but the prices there are so much higher I thought Captain's might be a good second choice. Anyone that has been there, how was it? Thanks.:thumbsup2

My very highest recommendation :)

Captain's Grille has amazing food, service and is quite the hidden gem.

I would definately go there.

It is a little on the loud side for a romantic dinner, but that's the only flaw I can find with it. The service and the food were both top-notch, and we very much enjoyed our meal there.

Yachtsman has the advantage when it comes to atmosphere, but we weren't terribly impressed with the food. It was good, but it was the kind of good you could find in any nice steakhouse anywhere in America, and for their prices I was expecting a little more flair. For the same money (and assuming dining plans aren't a factor), I think Shula's is the better steakhouse dinner.

We go there for lunch. It's pretty roomy and open. It's like a nice family restaurant, IMO, not romantic.

Only have been for lunch and it was amazing. I had the New England Lobster Roll. YUMMY

My DH and I had dinner here last November and loved it...it is more of a family place than somewhere for a romantic dinner, but it's definitely good food and the service is great! I would go back in a second! We were originally going to Yachtsman but I changed our ADR at the last minute to Captain's Grille because I thought Yachtsman might be a little too stuffy for us, and I'm glad I did!

If you want a Romantic Anniversary Dinner with reasonable prices, my vote is for Chefs de France in Epcot. The restaurant is beautiful. There is a pre fixed menu where you get an appetizer, entree and a dessert for $37.00 per person. If you want to order a la cart you can too. We have eaten at Captain's Grille twice. The first time the food was very good but the second time it wasn't. It's definitely not a romantic restaurant. No matter which you choose---Happy Anniversary! Enjoy.
