Tell me about Cape May Clambake...

The Clambake is inside (Yacht & Beach Club). Restaurant is just decorated with a clambake theme. We've been twice and really enjoyed it.

Last time we went was 2001 and would never miss it again. If you like clams. We ate forever...

It is a buffet that is themed to be a clam bake. I enjoyed it and found many things that i liked. DH was not that thrilled with it. He is from Maine and thought the clams were lacking as was most of the seafood. But like I said I was not that picky and thought it was good.

Hate to be the naysayer here, but DH and I are from New England and we ate at the Cape May "Clambake" on our night at Epcot. We were not impressed at all and actually had difficulty finding anything we liked. Maybe it is because we are used to a true New England Clambake here in RI but I would not recommend it at all. We actually classified it as our one bad meal at Disney. Sorry! I guess it is all in what you are used to and many people do enjoy it but we did not.

I am not just impressed with the clam bake. The food is so-so. Many people rave about it though. In fact my in-laws like it, but part of that is they like all you can eat buffets.

Once my dh found out about the clambake here he had to do it. We had had breakfast at Cape May several times and enjoyed it. So, when my dad and step mom joined us the day after Thanksgiving last Nov I figured this would be a great thing to do. But, it was not as good as we had hoped. There were plenty of diners there that seemed to be quite happy with the offerings. Maybe it's a northeast thing, but we didn't think it was all that wonderful. Was it bad? No, but nothing we would do again. I have to say that the party in the table behind us really liked it though. The men in the party must have gone back to the buffet line 5-6 time for more clams/mussels. Even the ladies in their group were laughing with us about it!!!

We've eaten here on each of our last three trips and have always enjoyed it. Plan on going again during our Jan 06 trip.
