Tell me about Boatright's at Port Orleans Riverside.Do you have to have ADR? Which is best, breakfast,or dinner?Would you eat there again and if so,what is the best to eat?Any info would be great. Thanks

We had dinner here last November and it was good. Not great but not bad either. Service was a little slow and the restaurant wasn't crowded at the time. I have heard that breakfast there is pretty good. If you are staying at POR/POFQ I would recommend it but I would not make a special trip from a park or other resort to have a meal there.

I've been there a few times for breakfast and it's pretty delicious. I've never had an ADR but I imagine it might depend on the season. I've never been for another meal.

We went there last year (2007) for the last dinner of our trip and it was by far the worse meal of the trip (and now the only other place besides Hollywood & Vine) that we will never go to again. We waited almost 40 minutes past our ADR to be seated; service was non-existent; food was terrible (they screwed up my steak twice) and you couldn't even hear yourself think, let alone try to have a conversation with the person across the table from you. We are, however, going there for breakfast next year as DH is insistent on trying the sweet potato pancakes that everyone raves about.

We eat there quite often and really like it. I think the breakfast is spectacular and we also will grab a late dinner there. Very good food and not hugely expensive. The waiters and waitresses also seem to be real pros. Even if we decide to go at the last minute, we'll call for an ADR. Just seems to make things easier.

We ate breakfast there 2 times during our trip 9/13-9/20. Had ADRs for both times and were seated at or before our time. The service the 1st time was a little better than the second time. The regular breakfast food was good. The banana stuffed french toast was outstanding!! and they make excellent smoothies. We enjoyed it and will return when we are at POR again.

We just got back from our stay at POR and we had a dinner at Boatwright's. we didn't have an ADR and only waited about 20 minutes. The service was excellent and so was our food. Dh even commented that it was pretty ironic that his favorite meal was the only one that wasn't planned with an ADR and right at our resort. I would definitely go back on our next trip and try their breakfast.

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast, dinner on the other hand - worst I have encountered!

Their breakfast is really good. We have an ADR there on our last day. I'm planning on the sweet potato pancakes.

We ate at Boatright's in 2006 with our grand gathering group. The ADR were made last minute, and I was a little worried about eating here since I had not done any reseach on this restaurant (that's the planner freak in me). But the food was great, we all ordered the prime rib, and loved it. I'm planning on making ADR for our 2009 trip.:yay:

I ate dinner at Boatwright's in June. I had an ADR, but really did not need one. I was not impressed with the food, and definitely would not go back.:( The brightest spot was the cup with the light up Tinkerbell straw. The service was not bad.

We had breakfast there a few weeks ago. I'd heard wonderful things about the stuffed french toast, but I didn't really like it. It's very heavy and greasy-tasting, and the bananas cook up a little funny.

Our experience there was fine, just not great. I don't think I'd go back, unless I was staying at POR and really didn't feel like leaving the resort to eat for some reason.

We ate there one night on our honeymoon and it was BY FAR the worst meal of our trip. The food was nothing special at all, we would definitely never eat there again!

I would not go out of my way to eat there. Nothing special really.

Dinner was just okay, but we really loved the breakfast there. If you are staying at POR or POFQ I would say definitely go-if not I am not sure I would make a trip just to go to Boatwrights.

We date dinner at Boatwright's last week and the food was good. I had the prime rib and it was really good. DH had the filet and he said he wished he had the prime rib as well. The appetizers are a bit lacking though. I would definitely go back if I were staying at POR or POFQ. Otherwise, it is probably not worth the trip.

I love Boatwrights for breakfast. The sweet potato pancakes and the banana stuffed french toast (similar to Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe) are both great. They have a really good cajun bloody mary too.

We were at PORS Sept 6th-14th. We ate breakfast there one morning and also dinner there one night. Service was excellent and both meals were good. For breakfast my mom had some sort of platter, my husband had sweet potato pancakes and I had the banana stuffed french toast. For dinner my husband and I both had the crawfish bites and steak with crawfish sauce. My mom had a salad and a pork chop. My husband had pecan pie, I had apple pie, and my mom had cheesecake for desserts. The only thing we didn't like was the pecan pie. They use a dark karo syrup (instead of light) in theirs, which we weren't used to. The steaks were cooked exactly how we ordered them (medium rare for me and medium well for my husband). They were very good.

We had an ADR for dinner, but not for breakfast. We were seated almost immediately both times though.
