Tell me the good and the bad (if any) about Boatright's at PORiverside. What kind of food, which is better dinner or breakfast, would you eat there again, etc? Thanks.

It has been quite a few years, but we ate there for Breakfast while staying at POR.

Our family enjoyed it. Food was good. Portions were nice for price and it is quiet and un-rushed.

I'm sure someone has been there since 2001 though.

Happy Planning.

We just ate there twice last week. My mom loves it. We have only eaten breakfast there. My mother always gets the sweet potato pancakes and my dad always gets the French toast. My kids always get the mickey pancake. I on the other hand love the sweet potato pancakes AND their stuffed french toast. So I get one and then the next time get the other. Very yummy! You also get two drinks with the breakfast and the smoothies are allowed on the dining plan. We have always been very happy eating there.

We were just there a few weeks ago for breakfast. We enjoyed it and would definitely go again. The sweet potato pancakes are the best! I would recommend an ADR if you want to go during peak eating times.

Not sure about breakfast, but there was a dinner review on the Dis PodCast on the February 19th episode.http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-podcast/archives.htm

The owner of this site is a member of the PodCast team, so I would tend to trust their judgement. You don't need an iPod to listen, just the speakers on your computer.

My family ate there tongiht. We liked it. I ordered the filet medalions(sp) with the potato's and collard greens. And of course SWEET tea, they are like the only place in WDW with sweet tea. I liked the food. My DW ordered the fried chicken and she also liked it. I would eat there again.

We ate at Boatwrights for dinner back in March and it is not a meal I will do again. It wasn't really busy...there were a lot of empty tables throughout; however, our service was extremely slow. We had a 5, 4, and 15 month old and it was not good times. It was our first night at WDW and wanted a meal at our resort - we should have just gone to the food court. The food was okay, nothing that special, but the slowness of the server and kitchen made it an awful experience. If the place had been busy, I could understand the hold-up with everything, but not when it was so empty. Even if we didn't have our kids with us, we would have still been quite annoyed at the length the meal took. We sat underneath the boat shell, which was the only redeeming thing about our experience. Our kids thought that was quite neat.
