I just booked Blue Zoo for dinner in October for my husband and myself. We are not doing the DDP.

How did you like it?

We've dined there every trip since they opened, and have not been disappointed yet. That being said, the quality of the food has slipped somewhat in our opinion, but not to an unacceptable level by any means. Service, that has slipped (noticeably enough) as well, but still not unacceptably so. Not really sure what is going on there lately, but we're going to have to try it again this Fall, to see for ourselves if things are headed in the wrong direction.
We especially look forward to the bread basket, and the littleneck clams flatbread. The paella flavord swordfish was excellent last visit as well.

I looked at the menu on allears, and the paella is what caught my eye.

Great review Jim!

I'm loving your chef photos. Wow! Bobby Flay, Wolfgang Puck (the person, not the hockey object  ) and even Alton Brown?! My husband and I like to call him the anal retentive chef. ;)

We are fans, like it more now than a few years ago actually, when it seemed to have more attitude than was necessary. We usually go to both BlueZoo and Flying Fish when we visit and now prefer BlueZoo. Everything is SO rich/swimming in sauce at Flying Fish, makes us feel sort of ill by the time we leave. There are many more choices of preparation at BlueZoo. And while it is not an inexpensive restaurant, if you compare the prices of FF to BZ, BZ looks almost reasonable!

If you are a chowder fan, be sure to try the fabulous clam chowder! Fresh and authentic and seems to be prepared on the spot.

We were very, very underwhelmed. We don't do DDP either and were hoping for something on property but non-Disney owned that matched CG for quality. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. If the chef focused more on accenting the natural flavors of his foods and less on a trendy-sounding menu, we would have enjoyed the experience more.

Cheers!
