Tell me about Artist Point

This is going to sound like a strange question, but can an adult order off the kids menu?

I have never been to Artist Point, but after looking at the menu, there is nothing I would eat from the regular menu as I'm a vegetarian and allergie to seafood. There is a pasta dish on the kid's menu I'd eat, but I'm afraid they won't let me do that since I'm not a child.

You could probably ask for a more "adult sized" portion and be willing to pay a more appropriate price for that portion.

Adults can always order off the kid's menu. Either with the kid's portion or asking for an adult one.

Artist Point used to be my favorite Disney restaurant (and we visited every trip) until our last visit--which was, unfortunately, our LAST visit to this restaurant.

IMHO, it was horrible. The service was so-so, the food awful. They had changed the menu and my beloved Cedar Plank Salmon will never be the same.

The manager saw I wasn't eating and asked what the problem was. I would have complained to the server, but she had disappeared, only to return to give us our check. By the time the manager came over, everyone else was finished with their meal. He offered to get me something else, but at this point, I just wanted to leave. Fortunately, he didn't charge me for my meal, which was nice and not necessary. I figured it was my problem if I didn't like the food. I was just disappointed that the menu had been changed so drastically. I won't be going back anytime soon--if ever.

Wow, this is exactly how we felt on our last visit. We loved it our first few times, had great service, food was wonderful but when we went back late last year the menu had changed, our waitress would disappear for long periods of time (and they were not busy), we finally asked someone else to get our check, and to top it off we had to wait forever for our disappointing meal. We will not be going back. :confused3

We ate here with our two children aged 6 & 9 in February. I think we had a reservation at about 7pm. There were some other children there.

The food was excellent, but pricey, however we found the waiter to be very mechanical & false, he knew all about the food and wine but the words he used, the jokes he told were word for word what he said to every other diner, by the time our meal was over we had heard his spiel so often we knew it off by heart and knew exactly what he would say to us when he next came to the table :rotfl: :rotfl: If you can put up with that the food is worth going for.
