Can anyone recommend a cheaper decent telescope. We've never owned one before and I don't even know where to start. Emphasis on the cheaper part.

I can't help, but I have interest in this as well... But when you say "cheaper", what do you mean? I was looking at one at Costco for about $150..... I have no idea if that is "cheap".... for me, or you, since I have no idea what others cost.

I'm hoping my daughters will enjoy it if we get one.

150.00 would be about what I was thinking about spending. I think it could be really cool for the kids as well as myself. I'll check out Costco, thanks!
