Is anyone else getting telemarketing calls from some timeshare group related to their DVC membership. I keep getting this place calling me that a group from LPGA is interested in buying my DVC timeshare from me.

I'm a little baffled by how some company got my name and number as a DVC owner. I wouldn't think Disney would give out my number but who knows. They got it from somewhere.

Of course, I'd only be willing to sell for a minimum $1500 a point! I bet they'd stop calling if I told them that.

Just tell them to put you on their do-not-call list and hang up. Previous poster is correct. They don't get the info from Disney, they get it from the public recording of your deed.

I got one of those unsolicited "How would you lie to sell your points" calls a few years ago and told them the same thing. I would sell for some large amount per point. The caller told me I was being ridiculous!

I quickly pointed out the irony - If I really wanted to sell my points wouldn't I be the one to initiate the call?

I got an e-mail from DVC yesterday advertising a BWV add-on for $115 a point. So I will sell my points, if they will give me $115 a point!

We get mail too from timeshare resale companies asking if we'd like to sell...

Me too. Lots of them. I have just resorted to asking them to hold and never go back to the call.
