Okay, here is the amazing story of last night's softball game!
So, it was at Napoleon, and it was raining. So it was like playing in a gray mud pit.
I'm playing first base, the whole game, so it's two outs and I'm stretching myself as far as I possibly can, because it was hit to I believe the second baseman and the batter was a fast runner. So I get the ball, then hit a slippery spot, so my right foot is on the base and I sorta fall over after the ump calls out, and I'm almost doing the splits, and I couldn't get up, so I had to put my hand in the mud and get up.
Then after I get walked, I'm on first base, and I get a lead off, then the catcher gets the ball and pump-fakes it the first baseman, so I turn to get back on the base, when I slip and do MORE splits, and mess up my foot after falling over.
Finally, I hit a slow grounder, so the first baseman runs up to get it, I run around the first baseman so she can't tag me, and then she fumbles the ball and the second baseman took her time to go and cover first, so I get there safe and the entire rest of my team in the dugout starts screaming I got 'Pudge Power' because Pudge is my nickname.
We ended up losing, but it was fun, because my pants were SO dirty afterwards and I got to ride in my mom's big clean truck with dirty, dusty pants and smelly socks
