Teenagers with pacifiers?

Ok, so what's with that? We were at a local hot dog place and a girl came in, maybe 15 or so, and she was sucking on a pacifier.

I thought I read once that they used them for drugs, but it's not as if she seemed 'high' or anything... I just thought it was very strange...

There’s this lifestyle called DDLG or ABDL. it typically has pacifiers included in the life.

When I was a teacher at the secondary level (about 4 years ago), some of the students brought pacifiers to school. Some also brought coloring books, stuffed animals, and blankets to school. I didn't ask them why, I think they were just being silly.

They were popular with the teens back when my daughter was in high school back in the 1980's. I don't know about today, but back then they were just teens being silly. Just one more fad that came in like a lion and went out like a lamb.

So .......... how is one supposed to react to a teenager standing in front of you who is sucking on a infant's pacifier? Are you supposed to act like they are NOT? Are you supposed to not notice it and let them do their thing? Is one supposed to treat them like the pacifier sucking toddlers they're immitating?
