Hi all. Just got back. I had been searching for details and had a hard time finding them so promised when I got back I would post our details in particular the tween/teen scene.

Tween first. These activities are in Aunty's beach house 10-12 yo. I have an almost 12 yo girl. She attended a game night and craft time. She MUCH preferred the tween activities and felt it was fun programming. She was happy enough with the general activities but 3 -12 is a wide age range so the tween activities were much preferred for her. (My almost 8yo loved everything at Aunty's). My only complaint is some days there were no tween activities and often they would be at 6:30 time range which is when we usually ate. We actually allow our girl to leave our family dinner to make it to one since there were so few tween activities.

Teen activities. Day ones my girl did not make it to as we were often doing things as a family. She attended several activities (lei making, photo hunt, game night, ukulele lessons). She really did enjoy them. Because of the time change and the late time for the evening activity she didn't make it to some she wanted to ... she just was too tired. On the site they mention the Painted Sky as a teen hang out. It is not. It is a spa area and they have some great teen spa services (my girl had a facial and massage there and loved it). It is also primarily used for the children spa services. The frozen yogurt area is closed.... it feel like a space with too many purposes and not well defined but the spa services provided in the space were great.

This leads to my main and really only complaint with Aulani. There is no real teen hang out space. They would benefit GREATLY from having a tween/teen hangout area. In particular parents of young teens and older tweens would benefit greatly. It really left our girls few options and reduced the ability of us having mom/dad only time. The girls didn't want to hangout in the room and from that 5-8 time frame having a space really for that age group would be so worthwhile. There is the Pua Hana room but even that is limited in space for hanging out and is a great space but really designed for families as a whole and runs many events in it.

So what is there activity wise for teens is GREAT but they really need a space for the tween/teen age group.

We're leaving for Aulani in under 2 weeks and this info answers our questions. I have a 13yo DD and a DD turning 12 on the day we arrive so I was wondering what activities would be available to them. Now I know what to expect. Thanks.
