Teen Nights at the groove

My girls (dd14 & dd16) are so excited. They are going to Teen Night at the groove on 10/16.

Teen Nights will be held at the groove on October 11th, 16th and 18th from 7pm to 11pm. Teens age 13-19 welcome. Tickets are $15 (tax-included) for Friday, October 11th and 18th, or $10 (tax-included) for Wednesday, October 16th. First soft drink is FREE. Sponsored by COKE.

Do they have "Teen Nights" often?

How do you get the schedule? We will be there with two 17 year olds and one 14 year old and I know they would enjoy this.

If The Groove isn't having teen night when you are there, check out a place called The Sapphire Club in downtown Orlando. They have teen nights, my daughter and her friend went twice when we were there. She had requested to go before we went on vacation. My husband asked someone he works with if he knew anything about it (he lived in Orlando for a few years), turns out the guy knew the owners. Told DH that it was well run etc... When my husband drove the girls he checked it out, spoke to the cops and felt very comfortable letting them stay. There is a police station right around the corner, and it seemed to be in a good area. It might be an alternative for those moody teens LOL!

My then 15 year old son went to the Groove one night when we were there in 2001 and he had a very good time. We found out about it when we checked into HR and they gave us the park brochures.
One thing that surprised me is that a security guard patted him down before he was allowed in. They did this to all the boys, but not to the girls as I saw it. It unnerved me to think he was going into a place where kids have to be patted down, but I guess this is a reflection of the world we live in.
Anyway, he had a great time and we met him at the designated time right outside the Groove. He's looking forward to it again when we go this coming July.

if you're referring to the Sapphire Supper Club, it no longer exists with that name. it's now called The Social
