I also wonder why Whitney from 16&Pregnant 1 hasn't been on Teen Mom.

I think the show would be ok with just Amber, Maci and Farrah. I hate to sound cruel but it is pointless for Catelynn to be on the show. I thought she and Tyler were ok on 16 and Pregant but last season on Teen Mom they became annoying after awhile. I understand that they miss their baby and are still dealing with their adoption decision but the point of Teen Mom is to show teens raising their babies. One factor that I think that keeps Catelynn on the show is how some fans are always praising her decision for adoption and a couple of bloggers on MTV.com have written a few articles about her. I do respect Catelynn's decision but I can't say she is better or more inspirational than the other girls for putting her baby up for adoption. I have seen many comments online were people say Catelynn and Tyler are the "smart ones", or they did the "right thing". In their minds Tyler and Catelynn did the right thing and that was their decision but I won't give them high praises for their decision. I think a lot of viewers are growing tired of Catelynn's presence on Teen Mom. I also find her and Tyler's parents to be annoying too. Tyler and Catelynn pretty much constantly whine about the same things about their parents. Based on Ebony's online post about the producers and MTV wanted drama maybe they figured that the clashing between Tyler, Catelynn and their parents would be good for the show but it the end their presence on the show doesn't relate to other participants and the main focus of the show.

Whitney started filming for the show, but had her own health problems and had to quit.

As for Tyler and Catelynn, I was under the impression the show was about the aftermath of giving birth as a teenager. It's only fair to show people all sides of adoption, including the lasting effects it can have on the birth parents. It could even help those who were adopted themselves to understand that it wasn't because their parents didn't "want them," just that they wanted better for them. Though, you do have to wonder whether or not Catelynn and Tyler would be further along in the grieving process if they weren't filming for a show that constantly reminded them of their daughter.

Oh, Farrah had me so upset last night, when she had Sophia on the floor who was crying and she turned the lights off on her and told her to stop crying, that she was going to ignore her. My heart melted for that baby, who really just wanted her Mom to show her some love. Farrah irks me how she is so selfish and not at all focused on Sophia.

Thanks to the previous poster who mentioned farrah. good Lord I wanted to jump through the tv and pick that baby up.

No crib? No baby supplies? just walk across the street? Ok any mother worth her salt would understand new house, new smells.
Equals apprehensive baby. OF COURSE she is going to be fussy. I do not like one bit the way she was treating her.
If farrah was my daughter I am afraid I would also be wringing her neck.

Maci, Love her and think she is a great mother and doing a great job with that baby. Ryan's just immature, I hope he will come around.

Gary and Amber!!!!! I actually prefer Gary. I think she is lazy and immature. How long can she scream at him without something coming to a boil.
What happened to her job and all the steps she was taking? I saw no mention of that last night...

As for Catelyn and Tyler. I think they are adorable and just think She is a kid herself who has gotten a raw deal. So she had to move back to Mom's and it looked like she is on the couch? fabulous. truly fabulous what some kids and she's a kid... have to muddle through.

I do think they need to get Carlie off the TV though. theres gonna be lots of footage for that little monkey to pull up when she is a teen herself. And I really don't think it's going to have a posetive spin on her own teen years.

My thoughts

Maci: She's still my favorite and I think the most responsible, best chance for the baby ect. Ryan's a lazy idiot, and I'm glad she took him to court (although she should have done it sooner) and I really hope he grows up soon. -From past seasons, he seems to have an okay home life...parents seem a little on the controlling side, but seems like one of the better home lives, so hopefully he'll wake up soon.

Amber: Good lord, she's so fricken annoying, and such a drama queen. The, oh, I think I'm pregnant crap is really getting old, and just so annoying and makes her look like a complete idiot. She said during the finale last season, that she had a "pregnancy scare," too. What an absolute idiot. I feel most scared for baby Leah. Neither Gary or Amber seem to have good home lives, and they're both way to worried about themselves and they're both way too lazy...neither of them have jobs now??? I think it'd take a miracle not to have Leah end up going down the wrong path as she gets older.

Farrah: Okay, I know a lot of ppl. really can't stand her, and while I think she still has A LOT of growing up to do, I really don't think she's that bad. I think she's had A LOT of relationship (family and otherwise) issues in her life and I'm sorry but her mom has always come off as a complete nut to me, and after last nights show, I feel even worse for Farrah. I'm kinda shocked that some ppl. seem to be taking the side of Farrah's mom... you know the one that committed domestic battery??? Who the heck punches their kid in the face and then who knows what was going on with the knives, but obviously something if in the police report the officer said he was going to shoot Farrah's mom if she took one more step. -I remember during 16 and pregnant though, she hit Farrah in the car and I was pretty stunned, so it doesn't seem to be anything new in their relationship. Her mom's a complete lunatic. She's constantly trying to lay guilt trips on Farrah. Last night they were talking about the living arrangements and Farrah was saying how her plans were to move out (just like the previous season) and again her mom goes on with the whole, so what I'm hearing is that you're done with our family...blah, blah, blah. Honestly, Farrah probably should cut ties with her mom for a while, but I'm sure she won't. What ever happened with Farrah's mom and that guy (still not sure if it's her real Dad or not, although last night was the first time I've ever heard her call him Dad,) getting a divorce? Does anyone know if they did or if they still are going to? The previews for next week showed what looked to be like Farrah going to some kind of therapy and talking about Sophia's Dad that died in a car accident, which I think is the first time he's ever really been mentioned on the show.

Caitlynn/Tyler: I agree, I wish they weren't on the show. Both their home lives are horrible (Tyler's mom seems pretty decent, but his Dad is insane.) They definitely made the right decision to give Carly up for adoption, but as insensitive as it sounds, the whole whining about it every 5 seconds is really annoying, and I don't really see much of a point of having them on either.

ITA, completely. The one thing that broke my heart the most is how Farrah talked to Sophia. "Did you look at yourself in the mirror and see how you're acting?" UM, your teeny little 1 year old is sitting there, alone, on the floor in the dark. Seriously? And something like "I'm not giving you any attention right now*." What?!! WHAT?!?! Most people's dogs get treated better than that. (*This may not be verbatim, but that's pretty much what she said.)

Maci's a sweet girl, she's trying her best. Ryan is a BIG ol BUTT.

Ohhh Catelynn and Tyler.. those poor kids, what a trainwreck. I just want to adopt Catelynn. That kid needs a Fairy Godmother.

No, she isn't. She went to the doctor to get tested, but the doctor said she's definitely not pregnant. It almost seems like she spends all of their non-existent money on fake tan stuff. Although, knowing MTV, they probably have a Teen Mom/Jersey Shore type combined show that has been thought about

I'm glad the show is back, but I don't think Catelynn should be on the show. I really do like her and Tyler, but I'm sure being on the show and having cameras follow them around isn't helping with the grieving process. I understand that Tyler wants to be alone when he's upset (I'm the same way), but it's a shame they couldn't talk about it instead of having Catelynn move back in with her mom and Butch. I'm sure if he had just explained himself to Catelynn that he wanted to have some alone time every now and then, she would have listened.

I'm glad Maci finally got child support from Ryan, even though he was being a total butt about it in the beginning.

Amber and Gary annoy me to no end, although I like Gary better than Amber.

Farrah also annoys me like crazy. I just wanted to pick poor Sophia up off that floor during the episode. Farrah's mom seems crazy, but Sophia looked sooo happy when she was with her.

Caitlyn & Tyler - I saw them this past winter in the grocery store near my house. I was thinking in the shower this morning that someone needs to adopt that poor girl since her mom is a nut job and I get the feeling Tyler is breaking up with her. I guess we will see.

It was interesting about Farrah and her Mom's discussion last night. Her mom told her that none of her relatives essentially wanted to take her and Sophia in and made a comment about "why is that"?

Didn't last season, Farrah's grandparents came and picked her up from someplace when she and her mom got into a fight?

Maci didn't think she'd have to take Ryan to court because -- against all reason -- she is still holding onto a little bit of hope that he'll grow up and they'll stay together. Sure, she has to know that it's not going to happen, but she hasn't let go of that fantasy yet.

Was anyone else disgusted by Farrah being so nasty to her mom and saying, "I'm on my own now" . . . while living in her parents' guest house? I don't mean that mom's innocent in this thing, but I think Farrah engineered the situation and then played it up to her own advantage.

I totally believe that the producers purposefully chose the "contestants" with the potential for the most drama.

I thought the same thing. If her adoptive parents put a stop to it now, no one would ever recognize her as "that baby" by the time she's a teen.

My DD11 almost 12 and we watch it together. She is funny because she will say that the guy or girl is stupid. She was like" why is Farrah leaving the baby in the dark on the floor? See an almost 12 year old knows that is messed up and Farrah is oblivious. and the way she was talking to her as if her mother was talking to her as a teenager. Whack a doo.
