Hi all,

I have a 15 year old who is possibly the pickiest eater alive. I swear he survives on cheese, egg sandwiches, chicken strips, and bagel bites! We are planning a few table service resturants. Is he able to order from the children's menu? The adult menus seem to be all foods he would never touch!!

We are planning:

Boma
Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch)
Whispering Canyon (lunch)
San Angel Inn

Thanks!

Helen

You definitely won't be able to pay kid's price at Boma because it's a buffet, and if you order the skillet at Whispering Canyon, you will probably have to pay the adult price, but for the others, you can only try. It really depends on the restaurant and the server if they will let you order off the kid's menu.

I(37) have ordered meals off of the kids menu at a few CS places and I have also ordered Desserts off of the kids menu at TS places. Le Cellier, Chocolate Mousse from the kids menu ROCKS. I think every restaraunt will allow it, but some may serve a slightly larger portion and/or charge an adult price.

My 14 year old DD ate from the kid's menu at San Angel Inn last summer. She wasn't hungry enough for a full meal and liked the choices on the kid's menu. It was no problem for the waiter.

I am going to run into this with my grandkids too. I have decided to just ask and then pay the adult price and have them bring an adult serving since sometimes the children's serving is small. Mine are 17 and 14. The 17 year old is getting better about trying new things though, so there is hope!!!

My dd was 11 when we were at WDW for both trips last year. She is a 'discriminating' eater also. Heaven knows what would happen if there were no chicken strips or mac and cheese in WDW. Anyway. While we did have to pay for the adult meal at Boma, there was plenty of foods she would eat there. So, not a loss. At WCC, she found regular food she would eat. In fact, she said her cheeseburger there was the best she had had in a long time.

The only place my 35 year old cousin did not order the chicken strips was at Cinderella's Castle. For an entire week she ate chicken and Mickey Waffles. As the other posters said you can order them you them, you will probably have to pay more than the kids price.

Thanks everyone! It is a constant struggle to feed that boy. What I hate the most is that we spend so much for "adult" meals for him, only to watch as he pushes the food around the plate and begs his sister for a chicken strip! On our last trip, we only did counter service because of his eating habits and did not get to experience ANY of the great resturants WDW has to offer (except The Brown Derby - he didn't eat!). I am really looking forward to some great food this time!

Thanks again,

Helen

You could do a lot of the buffet's because they always have all that kids stuff on them. That's what we do, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, Cryatal Palace, ect.
