Teen club question

My son will have just turned 13 before our cruise. Will he have to go with the teen club? He might enjoy the younger kids more ( he is a little young for his age, and I am not crazy about the thought of him with older kids). I am just wondering if I would have the option of letting him go with his 10 yr old sister to the younger kids club. This is the first cruise for both kids, first for hubby and me since our honeymoon. Thanks for any advice.

if he wants to be with the 10-12 year olds he probably can - you just need to discuss it with the Lab counselors as soon as you get onboard.

I have a couple of suggestions. The first is to try him in his own age group first. If that doesn't work, talk with the counsellors, and they will usually allow a child to move down to a younger group. THe rule is that they are allowed only one move--thus, you can't move him to the younger group first, then decide to move him up to the teen group.

Also, there is no bouncing back and forth. He is registered in one or the other group and must stick to that group for the rest of the cruise.

DD celebrated her 13th birthday on the Magic, and LOVED The Stack.

Seeing as he has a younger sibling, I'm sure if you prefer him in with the younger kids, the counselors should have no problem letting him be in the 10-12 group with his sister. They've done this on several occasions. Just make sure you talk to them when you first board.

Thanks, it is good to know that we have some options. I will probably let him try the older kids first, and move him if he wants to hang with the younger kids instead.
