Teen Club Orientation?

I have a question about the Teens Club, this cruise we will be traveling with another family. They have a DD of 15 who is interested in the Teen Club.

How would they go about registering her? I remember for our DS 7 we had to alert the counselors to any medical conditions or allergies, and fill out quit a bit of paperwork in the Oceaneer's Club. If I remember correctly their daughter has severe asthma, it would seem someone might need to know that.

Do the teen's parents go to the common grounds for orientation or are the Teens pretty much responsible for themselves?

Thanks in advance!!

I always go into the Common Grounds during the first afternoon just to say Hi to the counsellors and look around.
Parents do not have to register their teens, the teens can just show up. The counsellors have a list of who is onboard.
We have never had to fill out any paperwork either in Common Grounds. I guess they figure by that age they are responsible enough for their own health issues.
Your friends could go with their daughter during the first hours on board and speak with the counsellors to make them aware of her medical issues.
After 7pm on the first night, the teen club is teens only, no parents allowed in and they are quite strict on that rule.
Have fun:sunny:

Thanks, that was exactly what they wanted to know. I wasn't sure what to tell them. Thanks again.

What exactly do they do in this club? We have a DS15, we'll be doing the Wonder for the first time next April. Can someone tell me some of the activities?

Wow...there are way too many to list. But trust me being a two time Common Ground visitor, they are all a blast. For example, the first night they have icebreakers and things like that to get to know each other. Also, there are dances and murder mysteries and times where they have all the kids come up to the sports deck to play basketball and what not. Your son is going to have a blast with all the teens.

Click on navigators for the type of cruise you are doing, then scroll down to the teen navigator. It will give you all the activities that go on throughout the cruise!

Your friends should call DCL now and have it noted on their ressie that their DD has severe asthma....DCL may send them a medical form to fill out. That way DCL knows in advance and the teen can mention it again if necessary.

Make sure the teen goes to the ice breaker the first night...there will be an invitation for her outside their cabin door in the late afternoon.
