Technical problems are making me paranoid!

OK - I am beginning to get paranoid about these boards. First I sent an email to the webmaster and have never heard anything. Then I posted on this board about the problems - here is the link http://www.disboards.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=108520 - but now I can't see that post unless I search for it - it doesn't show up when I just view the forum.

From the search I can tell the last post was at 5:21PM on 10/12 - but the last post on page 1 of the technical forum was at 7:58PM that day, and page 2 starts with a post at 2:30P (I realize this will change by the time you look at it, but I am trying to explain what is happening!). My post seems to get lost in the shuffle.

The gist of my problem was that until a couple of weeks ago, I had an ID of MaryT - which I had registered and used since around November of 1999. Suddenly that ID didn't work anymore. That's when I sent the email.

Then I decided to re-register, and tried setting a new ID of MaryT - never dreaming that would work, but it did. However, my new id of MaryT does not connect with my old id of MaryT - my post count is gone, my old id doesn't have any of my avatar, signature or title - and a search for posts by MaryT only brings up the one post on the technical board, none of my old ones.

I signed up today with this new id, since I probably complicated matters by re-signing up as the same ID as before - I kind of think I was accidently deleted, and that's ok - I'd just like to know what's going on.

I don't really care which id I use - however, if at all possible I would like to be able to find my old posts by search with the MaryT user id.

Thanks!

Mary

I'll check with Mr. J. Cricket in the morning to see who he contacted about this. It's very strange.

When you look at page 2 of this forum, can you see it now? (It's #5 down when I typed this)
