I have found 2 programs at the GF for teatime with my DD. One is for children ages 4 and up and the parent is not included, and the other is a mother/daughter tea party that is around $225 if I remember correctly. :scared1: I would really like to experience a "tea party" with my daughter at the GF, even if it's just a cup of tea and cake somewhere. Do they have a restaurant where you could have a little tea and some snacks on some nice china in a pretty room? I would love to share that with my DD, but that $225 is a little steep for us...

I am taking my dd3 (3 by thrn) to tea at GF .WE are going to the reg afternoon tea...its around 20.00 for the package I get and I am getting her the choc milk.

The GF also hosts afternoon tea at the Garden View Tea Room. This is separate from the two children's tea parties you mentioned. Here's a link with info about it:

Me and my dd did the Perfectly Princess Tea Party with Sleeping Beauty last year and while it was definitely worth it, I didn't want to pay for that again and still wanted to have a tea experience. We are going to have afternoon tea during our upcoming trip. They do use fine china to serve tea and it's a quiet setting, so you'll just want to be sure that your child can handle that type of experience. They serve a kids tea (chocolate milk, I think) in the china too, my dd is going to be so thrilled!

The Perfectly Princess Tea Party takes place in the same Garden View Tea Room and although it's much more fun for kids because of Rose Petal (who tells the Sleeping Beauty story throughout) and Princess Aurora herself, the food and tea is the same.

Hope this helps!:)

I agree with the Garden View Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian. You order off a menu so you can control the pricing.

This is a description of what the kids offering is - Mrs. Potts Tea - For the young tea lover in your party, we offer a variety of tea sandwiches, tuna salad, ham and cheese, peanut butter and jelly on white bread. We serve our Mad Hatter tea (chocolate milk), followed by a choice of two pastries $10.50 per guest.

That price is from 2006 so is probably more now. Other choices range from $13.50 to $25.50. I don't drink tea but there is a ton of teas listed as being available.

I agree with this. It's a tough question; I completely understand wanting to have teatime with your little one, but I don't think of the GF afternoon tea as a 'tea party with toddlers' sort of experience. It's somewhat unusual to see very young children in the lounge. The room is very small, very elegant, and very quiet, and the tables are close to each other and full of fine china.

That said, if she understands 'inside voices' and can sit quietly, it'll be fine. If she's not quite ready for that, I think you'll be uncomfortable in the lounge.
