Team Renfroe trip report with TONS of pics & reviews

After a great lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, we went to Mickey's Philharmagic. Of all of the 3-D films in each of the parks, this was our favorite. It encompasses tons of Disney characters, past & present, and enlists all of the classic uses of 3-D technology. It is a blast!

We did Mickey's Philharmagic, the Mad Tea Cups, then took the WDW Railroad from Mickey's Toontown back to Main Street USA and left the Magic Kingdom around 2pm. We took a bus back to Coronado Springs to relax for awhile before returning for dinner. Here are a few pictures I took:

Next up...swimming at Coronado Springs' Dig Site, then a return to the Magic Kingdom for dinner.

I think I've just put on 2lb looking at that Oeey Goeey Toffee dessert-it looks fantastic. We tried LTT for dinner last year, but the menu wasn't as good as this (it was family style). Might have to back back and try again at lunchtime!

Can't believe you went on the tea-cups after lunch!!!:rotfl2:

You all look like you had a fantastic time-I love to see such lovely smiley faces.:thumbsup2

What a magical trip!! Family of the Day-- too cool. I don't often think about Liberty Tree for lunch but I think I will have to reconsider. I am also impressed with the range of foods your DS likes!

And I can't get over the (lack of) crowds in your pictures of both Frontierland and Fantasyland. WOW!!! Lucky you.

I totally agree on the afternoon pool break -- I think it's a must!

Can't wait for more :surfweb:

Our window for ADR's is June 20, 2008 so we are enjoying the pictures of the food....ds is 13 and he wants to try the bacon salmon, he also has "different" tatstes for a kid, lol...we will definetly be trying Liberty...

Just found you report! We are staying at Coronado Springs in December, your pictures of the resort are beautiful.:) Can't wait to read about the rest of your trip!:hyper:

What a great trip report. Now I'll know when I see people taking pictures of their food that they're filing trip reports. I'm writing one from our trip in April and never knew to do so. Well next time...

You've got a great (and very photogenic) family - can't wait to read more...:)

How neat to be chosen LTT family of the day!! Great, great pics & reviews.:goodvibes

Great trip report!! I wish my kids would react to the camera the way yours do. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed Liberty Tree Tavern as we are eating there in October. Can't wait to read more

Yeah...tea cups after lunch....not a great idea! Ah, what we won't do for our children! (fortunately, no one had any problems.)

I've read a lot of mixed reviews on LTT. I definitely wouldn't call it a MUST DO, but for the Magic Kingdom at lunchtime, it was just perfect. There are no characters at LTT at lunchtime, but that was not our reason for going.

I think it may be a matter of what you order at LTT. I didn't see this as a place to order something experimental or anything like that...all I know is that the service, the sandwiches, and especially the Maryland Crab Cakes were really good.

I really don't what to attribute the low crowds to the most: morning hours, Sunday, mid-May, or the threat of rain....either way, it made for a nice day in the 80s with low crowds, no waits, and only one 10-minute shower.

Welcome, cassmat! There will be lots more food pics to come.

Our DS really liked the Salmon Club with bacon, but he gave me half of it because he just couldn't eat it all. I ended up eating half of his sandwich, and half of my roast beef tri-corner sandwich. I took the other half of my sandwich back to our room, put it in the fridge, and ate it for breakfast the next morning.

Welcome aboard, Marianna. I hope you'll LOVE the Coronado Springs Resort as much as we did.

Thank you very much! There were some people looking at me funny when I was taking pictures of our food....but hey, this is OUR vacation, right? If we want to take pictures of our food, what's it to them? :rotfl2:

It was cool! It made our children feel really special on their very first day at any of the parks. Thanks for the compliments!

I normally don't eat desserts, but just about every single one we had on the entire trip was great.

I am really enjoying your report. The pictures are great!! Thanks for sharing.

No problem! Our family really enjoyed reading others' trip reports prior to our trip, and we decided we wanted to do one when we returned.

We left the Magic Kingdom around 2pm and were back at Coronado Springs by 2:30 or so. Any attempts to get the kids to take naps on the first day were useless, so we decided to unwind by visiting the dig site pool. Here are some pics I took around the pool area:

This picture makes me again anxious for our trip in three months. I've not been thinking about our trip the last couple of days because my dad is very ill and here is a good chance he will be leaving us within a few weeks. I've been very sad and blue and your report has made me smile. I can't wait to read more.
