Team Hakuna Matata; Masters of the Holidays!

Morning Kids, really windy and cold this morn, turkey pots pies came out pretty darn goodm so we have leftover for teh week.

Lynns B-day tomorrow so need to make her an angel food cake.

:wave2: TEAM!

Connie, will PM our hours & time when I finish this post - hard to get the training time in with the holiday & my gym was closed for two days. :rolleyes1
Snow, slippery roads, good night to curl up with a book
:goodvibes

Scott, what is your favorite game on the Wii - I got DD & SIL the dual Guitar Hero World Tour and the Aerosmith - of course I had to buy my little Hagen a wild toy guitar so he would think he was playing too. What I wanted the - Wii Fit was not available yet in our area. :sad2:

:hippie:
Erica and I are still working extra hours, but our motivation level is staying strong. We will be there and be strong.
Hummmmm I wish I could say the same! :upsidedow

Denise & Mark - Enjoy!

Well 12/1 is here and I'm glad. Yesterday while doing our miles I fell on the bridge going up from the beach club to the bw. There is a little lip on the pavement that I caught with my right foot and went crashing down. I scraped my left knee, cut my right index finger (I'm a lefty) but I managed to pull something on my left chest area. I don't think I bruised ribs because I can breathe pretty good. I do have plenty of drugs for my neck that I almost left at home because my neck is so much better but now they are being used for my chest. I guess I can trip just as easy on the wet rainy surface as I can on icy pavement.

It rained most of the day yesterday with tornado warnings but not that bad since we had our poncho's. Had a lovely lunch at Mama Melrose with a pitcher of Sangria to drown my sorrows or to ease my pain.

Last night went to Epcot and did Soarin. Played the games as you wait which wasn't the greatest idea but our team came in second so it was worth the effort.

Well the coffee is brewed and the sun is rising so I''ll sign off.

Have a good day - no matter what, I will too - at least I didn't break anything!

Good morning guys.

Denise, wish were doing the parks with you today.

Is anyone else having motivation issues besides us?

Erica and I are doing something exercise wise today just not sure what yet, I'm getting ready to wake her so we can plan the day. I have to go to work at 4pm.

Tired Panda

Morning Kids,

Did a couple of TM miles this morn on a speed interval program, did not get too bored.

Denise take care of your self, OK, do be careful of the Gravity Storms.

Better get to work.

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday and December! How many days away from the 1/2 and full are we? I had planned to run 8 miles on Saturday but it didn't quite work out. The weather was nice (for winter anyway) but my knees weren't cooperating. I took a lot of walking breaks but they kept yelling at me everytime I'd start running again. I did a total of 10K before calling it quits. Same thing happened yesterday so I'll have to ask my PT to look at it tonight.

Dave - Aside from the knee, I'm having a little bit of a motivational issue too. Maybe it's because of all the extra clothing but my last few runs have felt more like a chore than anything else :(

Scott - Congrats on the new car!! The turkey pot pies sound yummy!

Margie - I was thinking of getting a red/white running skirt but thought it might be a little loud with the WISH shirt :) Maybe I'll order a navy/blue or a camo (but I'll hold out for a bit to see if there are any discount codes available).

Lynn - :bday:

Denise - Ouch! Hope you're okay! I'm glad it was just a couple of scrapes and nothing was broken.

Connie - Will send you my miles later today.

Have a great day everyone!!

Good Morning Team! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We had a quiet dinner at home, turkey breast, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie! Now we have lots of left over’s (I love left over’s).

We are really glad we started the Christmas lights early – the weekend conditions were not conducive to being on a ladder – windy and cold all weekend. We did not get as much done on the inside of the house as I would have liked, as Scott said, we decided to take advantage of the great deals and bought a new car – jeep 4-door wrangler – then had to make room in the garage for it as we did not trade in the old jeep. We had to move the motorcycles and bicycles to the barn to empty out a space in the garage.

We did not get as much exercise as we would have liked over the long weekend, the weather was not cooperating - snowing and windy most of the time! This week I am scheduled for another 18 miler - so far - Friday looks like the best day - it is supposed to be windy today and tomorrow, then cold and snowing for Wed and Thurs. Have a PT appt this morning, will get in a 6 miler with dogs this afternoon - they are really dinghy after not much walking over the long weekend!

Beautiful sunrise this morning! Still windy though.

Scott/Lynn - The lights look fantastic! I especially love the snowflakes on your fence! I've noticed more people putting them up in my neighbourhood as well so running at night is a little more interesting now!

We have found lights like those snow flakes work really well here in the wind, they are flat and we can secure them to the fence with zip ties and they do not blow away!!! We can only have a few of the animals I like, they have to stay in the protected area right by the house.

Denise - take care of the knee!

The new tree we got for the living room has led lights - we actually had to get an un-pre-lit tree in order to use the led lights. Could not find a pre-lit with led lights that was tall enough and thin enough for our area. I think the snow flake lights are also led lights.

Have a great day everyone!

Sorry I've been MIA
My puppy (well he was 10 years old but still) died on Thanksgiving night. Not unexpected, but still a shock to the system.
I also twisted my ankle on my first attempt at trail running about a week ago.
Now that that's healed. I went for a nice 3-miler in 25:30 not bad after a week off.

So sorry to hear of your loss, I do honestly believe all dogs go to heaven.
