Just wanted to jump on quickly to wish you all a Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah
I still dont have anything wrapped.
Tonight we have our families over for a big xmas eve dinner and pressies exchanged with them. Then tomorrow we spend a quiet morning with the boys opening presents then everyone comes back in the afternoon for dinner. I have been in my kitchen cooking for DAYS.

Still at work here (only until 1pm). Had to jump on and wish you all the very best of holidays.

Each one of you hold a special place in my heart and while I have been way too busy with year end at work lately, you all have been in my thoughts.

Thank you all for the care, concern and support these last months, I am so grateful to each and everyone of you. Even when I was too busy to log on there were still Fockers reaching out to me to make sure I was ok.

Hi everyone. I just got done looking at all the pictures. Those are some great lookinig trees. We did not put up the tree this year. We won't be here for Christmas so really no need. We opened our gifts yesturday and went last night to my mom's to celebrate with her. I got a nice outfit from her plus she put money towards what I owe her for my new computer.

I have just been being lazy for several days now and enjoying the time with my kids. Cookies turned out great much of the house is now clean. I will finish this up when we get back.

We will be leaving for my Aunt and Uncles house in a hour or so and I do not get good internet up there. I just want to say Merry Christmas to all of you and hope you have a great holiday.

I am beyond frustrated right now!

I received a letter in the mail today from one of the Nursing programs I applied to stating that I do not have the "minimum requirements"

These supposed missing requirements are

"Grade 12" Biology
"Grade 12" Chemistry

Well in the States they don't offer "Grade 12" Biology and Chemistry trey simply offer Biology and Chemistry taken at grade 10 and 11. They are the same courses though. I had to pay the college a $90 fee to "translate" my transcript to Ontario standards and this is what I get.

I sent off a nice e-mail explaining how I meet the requirements and do they require any other proof, blah blah blah. I probably won't hear anything back until the New Year though. This is just really cheesing me off!

Having an American high school education is really working against me right now even though the education I received in Va Beach is far superior than what I would have gotten here.

How stupid, Lessa. And that's a rotten day to let you know.

I'm at work, I get off at 4-run home, put on dress, people come at 5. See people, give/get presents, eat. Go to bed, get up. Do Christmas with Mom, head to Jack and Sally's, then work again.

I am sitting for a spell... breakfasts are all done and I am finishing my coffee
Dawn... I can whip up that Coffee for ya... Scott got a an incredible espresso machine.. I am soooo looking forward to my Vanilla Cappuccino a little later today... along with that "Stress Reliever Bath"

I could have used a coffee, too! I logged off to clean so we could do other things the rest of the day. Right now I'm printing curriculum and ordering books for January.

Hope everyone is having a peaceful day! I gotta get to cooking and wrapping soon.

But I did want to say that I got a new car!!
Got a 08 Ford explorer limited! It' dark cherry color (which is really the maroon Hokie color!!) with a black leather interior. It has nav and sunroof too so I've been playing with all the buttons! And of course it's 4wd to get up my driveway! The man had traded it in with only 3900 miles as his wife wanted somthing else, so I think I gotta good deal too!

Has ANYONE gotten cards....from me???

Nice wheels. K said he checked the mail, but its in the truck, so I don't know right now.

Janet, I sent the kids away, so they haven't been driving me nuts. They'll be home any minute, now, though, and it's still 3 hours 'til the block party.

I cleaned both bathrooms, finished the office, cleared the dining room, vacuumed and dusted the family room and front room, and did all my stainless in the kitchen. I'm not doing any more in the kitchen until I cook for tonight. I'm not mopping (I did the bathrooms) until later, either - it's raining and 39 outside, so I'm sure there will be some tracking in...

D has a tradition of wrapping everything Christmas Eve whilst watching "A Christmas Story" and so nothing for the kids is done, but I did do the stuff for my parents and things for the kids that came in unwrapped from other people.

So... Things are looking pretty good. I need to do the baking for Santa (precut cookie dough) and the brownies and chicken dish for tonight. And SHOWER.

I'm too much of a shopper to be surprised like that--I've spent the last 6 weeks pouring over internet reviews, going to dealerships, etc.......I have a giant notebook with info!

Bob and the boys are downstairs playing video games. I'm going to enjoy the peace and read my book for a minute.
Then we have a date to play a family game of Trouble!

And dinner will be pasta. Nothing fancy, I'm afraid. We don't really do anything special on Xmas Eve. It's just the four of us, after all. We might watch A Christmas Story.

Bob and the kids still haven't wrapped their gifts to me. (I guess they'll do that that later too!)
