Angela, don't worry. Reid will be just fine. It is very common in little boys. My oldest had an issue, but it closed on it's own!

OMG
No, seriously!
OH

MY

GOSH.

I just got done shooting several thousand photos of my UNCOOPERATIVE boys for the Xmas cards. OMG!!!!

It's a wonder we got a picture at all! ARGH. Goofy Kids!

MEL

I'm not being coy. I'm being secretive. ;)

Ya wench! pirate: :rotfl2:

HI CE! Glad you guys are hanging in there! Don't walk on the deck!!!

No problem! I have no desire!

Quick! Someone call V. There's an impostor posting under her name, but at least she's not in London! :rotfl2:

Talked with my sister tonight. She said the insurance guy finally came. They are getting a WHOPPING check for the damages, it's pretty much a GUT the whole house deal. They also cut her a check on the spot for removing the trees, limbs and debris. :thumbsup2

Oh, that's great! I'm so glad for her. I'm close-ish if she needs anything tomorrow - no school, you know?

Okay, Gramma's handling Operation Clean Leo, so I'll give you a quick recap of our weekend at The World...

Oh, honey. I'm glad it got better toward the end (well, traffic aside.) Big hugs.

I'll only say, sometimes things change.

And I think we should arrange a Focker meet.

A fabulous idea! At the wedding pavilion and we should dress appropriately? :cool1:

I was thinking the exact same thing. ;)

Reid has a hernia and will have to have surgery. Luckily the surgeon can see them tomorrow and hopefully do the surgery with in a week. Apparently this is common in boys and will be done out patient. The pediatrician made it sound like no big deal so I hope he's right!

I'm sure he'll be fine. It's still hard.

So I went and took my Coding Test today. 5 hours and 30 minutes of stress and I was finished. I find out in 2 weeks if I passed - I have a feeling I didn't, so if I don't bring it up again, you'll know why.

I'm sure you did fine. :goodvibes

So...

HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See me here!

We went out to dinner after the laundry and grabbing the new router (fried it in a surge) and were home maybe 30 minutes and I noticed the modem lights were on. So, I said, let's try the cable. It was on, then D said, "It would be weird to have cable without power, since they were both out," so we turned off the generator, and we're good!!

Doesn't change the fact that we have to stay home from school tomorrow, but it's looking better - at least I can communicate!

The new router works great and quickly, too!

Gotta get the kids to bed - we let them watch a movie since there's no school.

See you later! :grouphug:

I just got done shooting several thousand photos of my UNCOOPERATIVE boys for the Xmas cards. OMG!!!!

Kelly Ripa always talks about the photo of her uncooperative kids. "Have a carpy Christmas" I'm sure you got cute one! :goodvibes

Whoohooty! :cool1:

Thanks for all the good thoughts for Reid! I'm sure he'll be fine. It's just the unknown.

I'll try to remember everything...

Angela- Hugs for Reid

Mel- I'm glad thins are slowly getting figured out with your sister. Let us know if she needs anything. And, I was in Dallas, silly!

Katt- Cute thread name. I like it.

Je- Congrats on the pregnancy :cutie:

CE- I'm glad you have D back home and you're okay!

Jo-I subbed. :flower3:

V- I have a sweet child who's suddenly a bit of a stinker too. Thank goodness we have each other to talk to about it!

S'Late- Wow! Sounds like the kids are doing their rooms pretty well! What did you end up doing?

Hi everyone I may have missed!

Thanks for the support when I was having a low moment. I think I'm good and happy now. I won't be sending her to public school, but I'm not sure what I will be doing exactly yet. :teacher:

Did I already say I sent the cards, ornament, and secret santa out Thursday? :confused3

So, a few of you watch So You Think You Can Dance? Cool. That means you guys might get excited with me about this weekend. I'll upload pics and work on a post tomorrow. Now I'm going to watch Survivor and chill. I'm so beat.

* Leo was NOT good. As in getting-a-whole-lot-of-coal-for-Xmas not good. He was mouthy and smart-aleky and a real PITA yesterday. I was PMSing and sick of holiday crowds. We made for a winning combination, no?

Somebody trying to spread his wongs a bit!

* After checking out our room, we drove over to DTD to meet LL for lunch, She and her DH were in town for his work's holiday party and they were doing some shopping. OMG, I drove around and around and around and around looking for an empty parking space! Finally found one after throwing a tantrum on the phone with LL. Sorry again hun! We had a lovely lunch at WPE and it was good to sit down and catch up a bit, though Leo was still not behaving well. At all.

LL? LL who? J/K LL, LY/MI:hug:

That's called a "snowball" which, near as I can tell, is a $10 Long Island Iced Tea with a Holiday glow cube.

Leo's mood was improved and the crowds didn't seem so bad.

Maybe he was tired or wasn't feeling good yesterday:confused3

Thank you Janet. I'll let her know you're standing by!

:goodvibes

Are you kidding me?! A new thread with 10 new pages since Friday?!

And this surprises you!:confused3

And I think we should arrange a Focker meet.

I like Angela's idea ::yes::

QUICK EVERY BODY LOG OFF BEFORE JANET GETS BACK !!

They did:sad2: But that's okay becasue I just got back here. Jimmy was so cooperative going to bed tonight I was able to get all of his gifts wrapped. 1 more thing off the list:woohoo:

A fabulous idea! At the wedding pavilion and we should dress appropriately? :cool1:

As I said above...I agree ::yes:: PLenty of notice please so that I can buy a new dress;)

Very common ::yes:: and kids are much more resilient than adults. Jimmy actually had an undescended testicle and he was operated on when he was 15 months old. The next day you wouldn't even have known he had surgery. Was back at daycare on Monday!:thumbsup2

So I went and took my Coding Test today. 5 hours and 30 minutes of stress and I was finished. I find out in 2 weeks if I passed - I have a feeling I didn't, so if I don't bring it up again, you'll know why.

I bet you did just fine!:thumbsup2

MEL

SO it doens't get better as they get older:sad2:

So...

HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See me here!

Glad the power is back CE:goodvibes You still could have come for lunch today, I wouldn't have minded:lmao:

Hi everyone I may have missed!

:wave2:

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I got all of Jimmy's gifts wrapped:woohoo: That gives me more time to get other stuff done. We have his first report card conference on Tuesday. Everyone keep their fingers crossed for a good report from the teacher:thumbsup2

Jimmy has a busy week at school. Tuesday the K to 4th grades are going to see the Winter Concert (Did I tell you that his school is a music magnet school???). Wednesday his pollyanna gift is due (So they can see who doesn't actually bring one in so they can remind them) and Friday is their Class party. Next week they only have 2 days of school and then they are off until January 5th.

posting on the sly......... got my cards done ...............will send them tomorrow......................later........................................

Last time they closed it THAT SAME DAY... That's another reason I moved us while I still could.. Otherwise It's PM City

Good Morning

Back later

Good Morning everybody!

I am so sleepy right now, only an hour and a half until I get to go home. It is my own fault I am so tired. I woke up at 7am yesterday morning and then never took a nap before work. I was too busy what with going to the movie, then I had my Secret Santa pin exchange and then Survivor, left no time for a nap and I am paying the price now. :guilty: I plan on sleeping all day. :cloud9:

SO it doens't get better as they get older:sad2:

Nope. Sorry. SD actually said, "Mom, this isn't fun. I can't smile for ONE MORE SECOND." LOL.
Then I started laughing and every picture I took came out like THIS:

101_0470.jpg

Because I kept telling SD to smile.....

LOL

**************
Got to take the Goofy Kid to get photos for his braces. I think we're almost to the end of the brace adventure. He's excited about that!
Then he goes back to school. We have to be careful to not miss too much school because he's missing a week for WDW in January.

Got my cookies packaged and ready to go in the mail to the BIL. I have some wrapping to do this morning and once I pick up the photos I have to stuff envelopes and get my cards mailed.

But, at least I don't have a wedding to go to!
Ha!

Hi Mel,

That pic is funny.. unless you are THE MOM Scott did something similar when we got married... so one time even on a behind the scenes video.. he gave some kind of a silly almost "Gomer Pyle" Smile.

I wondered if maybe the kids had some kind of a break the week you are going back to Disney. Yeah... watch those Misses... Schools get NASTY... at least around here.. WHEN YOU Miss too much and ARE SICK:sad2:

Glad you have the 'NIGHT OFF"

Uh-oh... sounds like someone is testing you, Momma. ;)
Maybe, but I also felt like there was some underlying anger in there. ABout what, I have no idea, though. :confused3
Can you believe I figured out a way to have enough points for August AND 5 nights in a Studio at AKL next December? :worship: Then I got shot down when I told Andy - he took the last 2 weeks of December this year and can't do it again next year. D'Oh! :headache:
Girls' Trip. Tha'ts all I'm sayin. ;)

So I went and took my Coding Test today. 5 hours and 30 minutes of stress and I was finished. I find out in 2 weeks if I passed - I have a feeling I didn't, so if I don't bring it up again, you'll know why.
Bet you passed with flying colors!

I just got done shooting several thousand photos of my UNCOOPERATIVE boys for the Xmas cards. OMG!!!!
Yep, I know aaaaallll about how that goes!

So...

HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See me here!
Yay, welcome back to society CE! :woohoo:

V- I have a sweet child who's suddenly a bit of a stinker too. Thank goodness we have each other to talk to about it!
Absolutely!
Now I'm going to watch Survivor and chill. I'm so beat.
So... what did you think about the outcome? I'm glad Bob won, but SHOCKED that Susie came so close!

LL? LL who? J/K LL, LY/MI:hug:
:rotfl:

Finally got all caught up!

Not going to make too many comments because I've got lots to do today.

Mel - glad to hear your sis is getting taken care of with insurance.

Jen - why do you tease us with a "I've got news but it's a secret and you're gonna have to wait til after Xmas" ????

I should join weight watchers, but I know I would never go to the meetings. I'm interested in hearing more about the new plan.

################################

I'm getting the itch to move. We looked at houses this weekend and I found a neighborhood I love - perfect location and nice neighborhood, but houses are nice, but what I have now is a better floorplan. It would cut off about 15-20 minutes of drive time for Mr Diz's work commute. Not thrilled about the high school associated with it, but Mr Diz said I shouldn't consider HS since ds is only 7. A little further away is another neighborhood that I love the floorplans, but they haven't built any houses yet and it will be a small neighborhood that is not as nice as the other one (as far as amenities go and there is a street right behind it that are all office buildings).

We don't have our house on the market, but I told Mr Diz I would start getting it ready this week and have a realtor come next week. I love our floorplan, but it would be great if we could cut some commute time for him and I would love some newer features. We talked about making changes to our house, like redoing the bathroom, floors downstairs, etc. Then we said, we might as well move. But if we move, we will get a smaller house that costs the same as what we have.

Today, I am volunteering at school. I will be watching ds's 2nd grade class while his teacher goes to the staff holiday party.

Wow ... I'm only gone a couple of days and we have a whole new thread.

Thanks Kykatt2 for the link.

I'm at home today getting ready for my test tomorrow  so I'll be on and off through out the day.

NEver heard of a wedding on a Monday!:confused3

Yeah... watch those Misses... Schools get NASTY... at least around here.. WHEN YOU Miss too much and ARE SICK:sad2:

Some people on these borads do get a little holier than thou about that don't they:sad2: Whereas us Fockers, we ENCOURAGE you to take your kids out of school;) :lmao:

Maybe, but I also felt like there was some underlying anger in there. ABout what, I have no idea, though. :confused3

 You'll figure it out!

THis is why I hate the thought of moving...too many decisions to make!

Wow ... I'm only gone a couple of days and we have a whole new thread.

THis one will probably get closed right around Martin Luther King Day! ::yes::

Adults.. uh sometimes make more little things to get bored .. WHEN THERE IS A LONG TIME OF POWER OUTTAGES... in the Winter....you watch... come Spetember.... BABY BOOM

Uh, yes, know this quite well....don't forget about those long power outages after hurricanes. :rolleyes1

(Did I tell you that his school is a music magnet school???)

I would have loved that! :thumbsup2

I plan on sleeping all day.

Hopefully you're able to! :)

There is nothing wrong with this picture! :thumbsup2

I would love to move but because of all the hurricanes, our insurance won't cover another house in Florida! :headache: Although we did pick this house because Mitch had a 7 minute commute. He said he didn't want one longer than he had in Memphis! :rotfl2:

..... were any of your husbands/ friends surprised at how you can be such good friends with people on the internet??? he thought it was cool, but odd! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My wife thought I was a part of a cult for awhile. :lmao: She was a bit wary of our first meet before a cruise and then when we met everyone on the cruise she was really scared.

When we were at the life vest drill a woman next to us said "Hello Annette" and really freaked my wife out. :scared1: She was one of my DISBoard friends. :lmao:
