Mel- that's great about SD! I'm so happy for your family. :cool1:
Only C is feverish. The rest of us just have headaches and the sniffles. I'm bummed her temp went back up. :guilty: The kids were going to see Hotel for Dogs and to have dinner with my MIL, and now she can't. Poor honey. :sad:

V- That stinks about having to re-schedule. :crazy2:

I'm going to watch Grey's and Private Practice. Good night.

"she wants to have 5 children." I just chuckle in my head....a lot, and think alrighty then, hop on in our birthcontrolmobile.
:rotfl2: She would have changed her mind after spending time with my kids, too. Congrats on getting a sil. I hope yours are better than mine.
Had my super-fun-no-stress tennis class this morning, and now I'm just doing some laundry and thinking of what else I need to do. No after school stuff tonight, so my obligations are done for the day, woohoo!
I've been decluttering the house. I did the basement the first of the month. Now I am going through my clothes. I'm taking a load to Goodwill tomorrow.
I know my card should be revoked, but I have an excuse today. I AM DEALING WITH CRAZY PEOPLE...who are criminals on top of it :faint:
Hi CE :wave2:
Some of us have crazy criminals, some of us have crazy relatives.
All I can say is Lost was confusingly exciting. Looks like a good season.
I've almost given up on this show several times. I always get drawn back with a promise that the next episode will be more revealing. We only watched 30 minutes last night and will finish it tonight. Hope I'm not disappointed.
My butt is planted in front of the computer today doing E-bay listings. I do this to myself every year. I buy way too much for them and then have way too much to list on E-bay. But I am proud of myself and did waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy better with their winter stuff. :)
I quit doing Ebay and put all my kids stuff in consignment sales now.
Hey guys!
:wave2:

Well, we got to the psychologist ok (it was the actual appt. today! HA) And GREAT NEWS! She said she feels that SD is doing well enough that he can see her on an "as needed basis."
Great news! :thumbsup2

Only C is feverish. The rest of us just have headaches and the sniffles. I'm bummed her temp went back up. :guilty: The kids were going to see Hotel for Dogs and to have dinner with my MIL, and now she can't. Poor honey. :sad:
Sorry C is not feeling well.
Let us know how the kids like Hotel for Dogs. My kids are asking to go see it.

Thanks for the heads up, Janet. We fly home on the 31st so I should be safe from the cheerleaders! :thumbsup2

Oh Good!:thumbsup2

Irony has come my way...as soon as KC & I decide its time for me to find work....disability calls!! Friggin figures! But my hearing isn't until March so I am going to look part time and see what i can find. I'm just annoyed, it's been over a year since i was told I'd get a hearing.

It figures..the government at work:rolleyes:

Hey yall!

Jodi's riding Indiana Jones as I type! :cool1:

:yay: Are you going to meet up with her at some point?

Well, we got to the psychologist ok (it was the actual appt. today! HA) And GREAT NEWS! She said she feels that SD is doing well enough that he can see her on an "as needed basis." I think that is SO great! We were riding the elevator back down to the parking lot and SD burst into tears. I said, "Omgosh, do we need to go back?" He said, "No, I'm just so glad that I'm getting better. It's a huge relief!" :hug:

That's awsome!:goodvibes :hug:

V, what about St. Augustine? Lots of history, great small town walks with galleries, museums, forts to explore...not too far a drive but "away."

We want to go here too, but are going to waituntil Jimmy is a bot older so he can appreciate it. We actually had planned on staying there once, but then FLA had all those fires going on. Most of Flagler County was evacuated so we cancelled and never rescheduled!

So the recycling center tour depressed me. :guilty: It was very interesting, but what a downer.

Why:confused3

Some of us have crazy criminals, some of us have crazy relatives. {?QUOTE]

I have those too, they are called in-laws:rotfl2:

Dawn - Thought I quoted you>>> Hope C is feeling better soon! :hug:

Hi ya' people!
All this talk of trips has got me depressed. But I'm happy for all of you. Come on Sept.!

I'm not sure what we have going on here. C, B and I have all gotten nasty headaches the last two days, and have had more crud than normal. I've specifically been watching C a few days wondering if she was getting sick. About t1 this am she came to my room crying because her head hurt so bad and she had a high fever. :guilty:

I'm thinking about going to get some Mucinex to make sure the crud keeps moving out. I need coffee too since I was up for a couple of hours last night. Right after I got Camryn calmed down and asleep in my bed, Aiden woke up with leg cramps crying and howling. :guilty:

I hope today is uneventful.

Sorry that you are a rough time with the yuckies. Mucinex is wonderful!

I seem to be engaged in a little Resort Roulette here. Wanna play with me?!

My thought: do something with Memorial Day Wknd., since I only get Leo for it every other year and this is one of those years. The requirements are:

1. Not too expensive - no airfare involved.
2. Must involve plenty of down-time.

I had orignally thought about Jekyll Island, which we've visited before and enjoyed. No rooms available at the Jekyll Island Club, but I can get the Beachview Club for $229/night. We've stayed there and it's nice, but if it should rain, there's nothing to do. Beautiful area, but it'll be too chilly for us to swim.

I've also been pondering Sanibel Island, and specifically the Sanibel Inn. Also $229/night. Never stayed there, but it gets good reviews and looks pretty. SHoudl be warm enough for swimming, assuming pool is heated well. Again, if it rains, we're shot.

And then there's Universal. The parks aren't all that enticing to us yet, but the hotels are. Royal Pacific reminds me of the Poly - and you all know how much I love the Poly! Pros: should be warm enough to swim, relaxed vibe, both US and WDW available for rainy days. Rate for 3 nights is $269/night. 4 nights is $172-186! I know. 3 nights is my preference, but 4 costs LESS!!! Gah.

Finally, there's the option of waiting and hoping for a WDW discounted rate at the Poly, BC, YC, CR, BWI or even CBR. We all know the pros and cons here... dare I risk waiting for a discount that may never come?

OR... do I chuck it all and stay home.

How crazy are the crowds at US on that weekend? I figured it would be nuts. My B-day is Memorial day. I just figured there would be no way to enjoy a trip down there at that time. Not that you should stay home! :goodvibes

I think I should have left Jon in the hospital. I had to help him get to the bathroom this morning and help him get in the bath. Although he has been able to hold down all liquids since the middle of the night. I think it would have benefitted him to be in the hospital on fluids a bit longer.

I didn't sleep barely at all.

Ya' ever had those days where you're being pulled in a million different directions?

I am at work. Jon's with his grandpa. I think he'll start perking up soon. It just sucked yesterday. Between Jon, some other life things, and drama...I needed a big ol' bottle of tequila. Straight up.

Oh...and meeska came through her surgery just fine. She rather enjoyed the morphine part. She thanks you for your good wishes.

Good for Meeska and :hug: for you. We've all had days like that. Can you pass me some Southern Comfort, please!

I have a funny, not so funny, oh crap, everything will work out fine story.

Ok, so prior to 7:00PM on 11/29/08, I had never met BIL's GF; the one we were taking with us on a 4-day trip. So, 26 hours later, as we are trying to load 3 excited caffeine filled Loud Children and luggage for 7 in the van, I casually said, "you do like children, right?" She says oh yes, I love them, and BIL chimes in with, "she wants to have 5 children." I just chuckle in my head....a lot, and think alrighty then, hop on in our birthcontrolmobile. By the time we returned to Raleigh, 5.5 days later, her child request was down to 1. I looked at BIL and said, "you're welcome" to which I received a high five, atta girl, 2 thumbs up, and a hug.

Well, 2-ish weeks ago, I get a phone call from BIL saying that his girlfriend is pregnant. :scared: The first thing out of my mouth was, "was 12 hours in the van with us not enough?" :confused3

Aside from being scared, they are accepting their situation. I should have a new neice or nephew on or around 9/25/09, and hopefully a new SIL as well!!!!! I just got one new SIL on 11/30/08!! I have been waiting 15 years for one.

Congrats and that is funny! I cured Doug by going to visit Rockie a lot when her girls were young. OMG, he said no way after the fist visit!:lmao: The other day when I told someone how much it cost to get the furbaby fixed Doug said, 'A kid would have cost us more.' :p

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been on much. With the kids getting all those snow days and then having a crazy busy week I haven't had the time nor energy to do much Dis'ing.

So, how is everyone doing? Any recaps that I can go back to?

Today is a down day for DR and I but we're back at it again tomorrow. My butt is planted in front of the computer today doing E-bay listings. I do this to myself every year. I buy way too much for them and then have way too much to list on E-bay. But I am proud of myself and did waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy better with their winter stuff. :)

Hello! Hopefully the return for your stuff will be worth the time you have to spend on the listings.

Just packed my clothes! YAY! I still have to add a couple of items, and pack the kid's stuff but that's one less thing to do. I'm bored sitting around waiting to pick up SD so I figured I'd do it. The weather is going to be beautiful! 70's all week!

Tonight I will do one more load of laundry and then I can pack for the kids. They have to wear some of their clothes though. I am packing 1/2 pants and 1/2 shorts for them. I packed capris for me though. If it's a bit chilly, my legs will be fine.

Oh, and V: I vote for the 4/3 dealy too.

MEL

I'm impressed!!
BTW, I'm so happy for SD.

Yes, I pointed out to Doogles, again, that I am off the week of VDay. He acted clueless except I don't think it was an act. I swear to G! I asked him if he planned on working that Friday - HELLO!!! I'M OFF FOR VALENTINE'S.

He's like, "Oh yeah, I guess I can take that day off." AAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!! It makes me want to just pack up and leave him to himself that week. :sad2: HMMMM?????? You know I really could....but I won't. Oh well.

Sorry if I busted up anything here. I just jump on when I can.

Have a great night. I gotta get back to work.

Hi ya' people!
All this talk of trips has got me depressed. But I'm happy for all of you. Come on Sept.!

DOn't feel bad Kristel. I'm not going until August! IT seems to take forever to get here, and thenis over in a flash:sad2:

LOL men huh. We don't really do anything for v-day because our anniversary is the 4th so he get a free pass minus a little chocolate something or other that I better get.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Well we went out for a bit, not much in the way of places to apply for jobs. Oh well. I'm gonna hit Manhattan this week and I'll prob have better luck. We got some pizza for dinner and some dunkin coffee. I got some awesome calendar deals!!!! I got a page-a-day calendar for my friends daughter for $3.24!! and a pocket calendar for my purse for $1.25! Yay.

KC & I picked out cards for each other for our anniversary too. Which is prob the only way he will remember. :sad2:

OH- I booked The Trump Plaza for Feb 5th!

I am staying in front of the computer for the rest of the evening, singing along to my favorite Broadway shows!

Thanks Dawn! I know, it's close.......I'm not even completely packed! (Look away, T!)
EEEEEEK!!!! :faint:

Dude, I'm packed for August. :lmao:

I'm glad someone goofed on that DVC thing. I almost had a heart attack. I can't afford more points right now!!!
Me neither!! :guilty:

Awww....:hug:

K, what happened at the tour? Was it just depressing to hear how much doesn't get recycled? :guilty: I am a recycling nazi... :p
OMG, so is Waldo. He spends hours and hours organizing it for the trash guys. :rolleyes:
:yay: Are you going to meet up with her at some point?
Tomorrow - I'm going to get her crazy drunk and take funny pictures. :p We'll meet up sometime tomorrow, I'm going to call her and see how her day is planned out.

:lmao: Your pics always crack me up Kristel!

Ooh!! Sounds like fun! I'm itchin' to go to Vegas... but we all know what happens in Vegas when T heads across the border. :eek:

Isn't that always the way...:rolleyes:

Me too! I really wish more people would do it. Our county even provided EVERYONE with recycling bins for free and some people still don't do it. It's amazing how much recycling cuts down on actual trash.

I've almost given up on this show several times. I always get drawn back with a promise that the next episode will be more revealing. We only watched 30 minutes last night and will finish it tonight. Hope I'm not disappointed.

It's one of those Love/Hate shows. :p Stick with it, the Series ends next year in 2010.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I recorded American Idol last night and I think someone they picked in Kentucky just might be our next Idol. They had some really good singers there. I also accidentally recorded the new Tim Roth show Lie to Me. It was surprisingly good, so I've now added it to my tv viewing line up. I'm sure Fox will cancel it. :rolleyes:
Well not much going on today. I had a class at work that ended up being cancelled. So I called Yani up and we went to go see Marley & Me. OMG that is such a sad movie! I thought it was going to be a cute romantic comedy, but by the end we were crying our eyes out. :sad:
Then I visited the boyfriend for a bit and then picked up my mom since we had carpooled to work and now I'm home. I have to wake up to work in the morning so I'll talk to ya'll later!
Just an FYI...updates done on the TR and I started my new TR for our last trip.... Link is in the siggie...so check it out!!!!!
I'm going to bed! Night!!!:thumbsup2
Good morning everyone! :sunny:
Just popping my head up from my foray into lurkerdom. Got my coffee. :coffee: Kids are all in pseudo-motion getting ready for school. :hyper: :cloud9: :hyper: :cloud9: And, I'm ready to hit the exercise once they're off.
Jenny is heading out to a girl scout leader training this weekend. So, it will be just me and the kids. :faint:
DS6 and I need to finish off his pinewood derby car today and tomorrow because the big race is Sunday. :drive: As Murphy's law would have it, I'm on the race committee, so I need to show up early for set-up. This week, therefore, we scrambled to find places for the kids to go after religious school Sunday morning. That's all set, so I'm not too frantic.
More going on, but I think I need to bounce back to make sure everyone is progressing towards school readiness. :goodvibes
TTFN! :wave:
Morning everyone!
Kat: Another TR! OMGosh, I have a hard time keeping up!
T: I know, I know. I'm going to try to pack today. :sad2:
Z: Normal working hours!? Yay!
Dawn: Hope c is better today.
Rosie: good job catching up!
Thanks for all the :hug: for SD's great news. He's really happy about it as it seems like there's sort of a "light at the end of the tunnel." He's getting ready for school right now, and is EXCITED to be going to FL!!!
Bob made it to his folks last night. He called and told me it was 58 degrees. I am really looking forward to temps above 32!!!
This morning I'm getting my eyebrows done and "fringe" trimmed. Then home to pack, I hope. I don't have too much left to do. I got Gus pretty much packed last night. Of course, I keep remembering little things to add on every 5 mins. :scratchin
I'm going to go back to bed and watch the morning news till Gus gets up. See you guys later!
MEL
Morning all!!:wave2: Up and running early again !! Only this time it is literally seem like a stomach bug has hit and I need close to the "LOO":lmao: ( Jo can translate )I am hookded on FB! :thumbsup2 till having trouble knowing man of you guys by your real names !!:confused3 gotta run!!:)
Dude, I'm packed for August. :lmao:
:scared:
Nah....you're one busy woman. I got yer back. ;)
:goodvibes Ok, then, I guess it's safe for me to let everyone know that www.piperlime.com has an extra 20% off that includes a lot of Crocs that are already on sale. :thumbsup2 Oh, and Crocs.com had the cloth Capris for $31.99.
Well not much going on today. I had a class at work that ended up being cancelled. So I called Yani up and we went to go see Marley & Me. OMG that is such a sad movie! I thought it was going to be a cute romantic comedy, but by the end we were crying our eyes out. :sad:
::yes:: We don't do much because my birthday is the 20th, and there's usually no way he's home for both. It seems too close for presents for both, and I'd rather he remember my birthday, you know?
Tomorrow - I'm going to get her crazy drunk and take funny pictures. :p We'll meet up sometime tomorrow, I'm going to call her and see how her day is planned out.
Fun!
Me too! I really wish more people would do it. Our county even provided EVERYONE with recycling bins for free and some people still don't do it. It's amazing how much recycling cuts down on actual trash.
I know. We went from 3-4 barrels of trash a week to usually only having 1. We don't have city trash service, so I finally switched to a company that picks it up for me - before, I had my trash (the one barrel) picked up but then had to take all the recycling to the center myself.
Good morning everyone! :sunny:
Good morning - sounds like you have a crazy weekend going! Good luck! :)
Bob made it to his folks last night. He called and told me it was 58 degrees. I am really looking forward to temps above 32!!!
I'm glad he's there and it's warm!
Oh, Rosie. Feel better. :hug:
*************************************************
D had to get up and leave the house at 4:45, but I was able to go right back to sleep this time. The kids are on the bus and I've had my breakfast. I'm thinking of hopping on the Fit (for the first time this week - bad, bad, bad...) for a bit before I have to go shower.
I volunteer, then meet a couple of friends for lunch, then need to go back to the grocery store (why, oh why can't I make it more than 2 days before having to go back??? :rotfl2: ) before coming home. D's back tonight, but it's pizza night, so we'll probably go pick that up, too. Our favorite place doesn't deliver to us. :sad2:
Anyway, I'll be in and out today, so Happy Friday!!! Everyone have a great day! :grouphug:
And Noooooo! Does this mean we'll postpone FF 2010?! :sad1:
All depends on flight prices :scared: and the exchange rate :eek:
Jodi's in Cali right now on her way to DLR! :cool1: Probably will see her tomorrow!
Have fun!!!
Summer camp info. was released and camps don't start until June 8, a week AFTER school ends, and the camps end Aug. 14, a week BEFORE school starts.
That's ridiculous, why do they do that????
Friggin figures! But my hearing isn't until March so I am going to look part time and see what i can find. I'm just annoyed, it's been over a year since i was told I'd get a hearing.
I'm pleased you've got a date!
Camryn's fever just spiked again. :guilty:
How is she today? :hug:
We were riding the elevator back down to the parking lot and SD burst into tears. I said, "Omgosh, do we need to go back?" He said, "No, I'm just so glad that I'm getting better. It's a huge relief!" :hug:
That's fantastic :hug:
So the recycling center tour depressed me. :guilty: It was very interesting, but what a downer.
Oh no, why????
Dude, I'm packed for August. :lmao:
Why am I not surprised? :rotfl2:
This morning I'm getting my eyebrows done and "fringe" trimmed.
:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:
Morning all!!:wave2: Up and running early again !! Only this time it is literally seem like a stomach bug has hit and I need close to the "LOO":lmao: ( Jo can translate )
Oh no feel better!
Well the golf course is shut again :mad: I'm fed up with all this wet weather!!!!
For those who haven't seen my FB page an old school friend posted on there this morning that I'm on the front page of the Lowestoft Journal (where I grew up) and on page 2 too, I've hit the big time :rotfl2: I phoned my Mum and she had the paper sitting on the side and hadn't noticed me on the front!!!! Anyway she's getting me another copy, I've looked on the website and lots of the stories are on there but not me so I can't link you :confused3
Morning :goodvibes
So with all this recycling talk, I forgot to put ours out last night :blush: Guess who ran to meet the truck in her jammies and robe at 7:40? Nice, eh? I can just hear the talk now..."and then this lady came running down her driveway with a bin in one arm..."
And the tour depressed me because the woman was explaining that plastic is recyclable only a few times, but it never breaks down. We use so much of it...and plastic water bottles, soda bottles, juice bottles, etc. don't get remade into other plastic bottles. They can only really be shredded and made into less stable plastic...fleece and carpets are the two biggies. And apparently there is a blob of plastic the size of Rhode Island sitting on the ocean floor that will just stay there forever. Forever. So while recycling is imperative, we really have to choose our containers more carefully. Glass and aluminum are the way to go.
Sorry, a PSA this early in the morning is no fun.
*********************
Not much going on today...Did I tell you all that I rescheduled #2s party to tomorrow? So, I'll be house cleaning and making the family room into a rain forest. #1 has to practice for his Lego competition this afternoon. But beyond that, I'll be in and out.
LOL men huh. We don't really do anything for v-day because our anniversary is the 4th so he get a free pass minus a little chocolate something or other that I better get.
We are like this with Mothers Day and fathers Day and our birthdays. THey are all so close together we usually get one big thing that we both want (last year it was a new computer). Makes life a lot easier ::yes::
OH- I booked The Trump Plaza for Feb 5th!
Cool :cool1:
What did you decide to do for the party gifts. WEre you able to find plants?
======================================================
Good morning all. It's Friday:cheer2: :cheer2: Just want this day to be over already:rolleyes: Tomorrow we are taking Jimmy and my girlfriend's daughter to the Please Touch Museum so that should be fun. Not much else going on. Have a good day!
I find this hysterical. :rotfl2:
I'm out for my volunteering/lunch/grocery run. See you all later! :wave2:
What did you decide to do for the party gifts. WEre you able to find plants?
I could only find pansies:sad2: The cacti I was able to find were all over $8 a piece, and while I love my son and like most of his friends, that's a bit much. So a 6 pack of pansies for $1.57, plus a Target dollar spot grow-a- strawberry kit (thanks T!) and we're good :thumbsup2
It could be worse... ;) Did I ever tell you the story of one of my twin group moms and the kindergarten drop off line?
Nope...but I am curious.
Just wanted to say good morning. :wave:
:hug: all around.
Morning Jen....Things getting better?
