Morning Fockers! Hope everyone's well...just doing a drive by...trying to get caught up on some much needed housework today.

Had some friends over last night and Michael and his little buddy trashed the house so I have to clean up all over again after I cleaned all afternoon yesterday...:sad2:

Michael went with them to see Hotel for Dogs yesterday and they all loved it - grownups and the kids so we may need to go see it...:rolleyes: They had the Humane Society at the movie theater yesterday when I dropped him off...killing us not to bring one (or several) of those sweet babies home!!

Have a great day everyone!!:wave2:

# 8 just won't stop, eh?

Morning:goodvibes

It's damp and rainy and nasty here...and I'm off to Costco to see the fancy hats stand around and eat samples.

:wave2:

Well the Cookie rally was ... interesting. Thousands of Girl Scouts, 80 degree weather, 5 little girls under my supervision and NO ALCOHOL. And I'm bushed! :faint: Honestly though, my girls had fun, so it was worth it.

I'm so tired, I can't even think straight! :rolleyes:
Glad it went well! Enjoy the rest now!

Can I get a woot woot! :teeth:

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Woot Woot!!! Yay! Glad you got your "stuff" back! :cool1:

Your thoughts?????

I just found her on facebook and sent a friend request just to see what happens.

The stuff is really meaningful to me, old photos and yearbooks- things I can't do without, otherwise i'd have given up a while ago. I am ready to get this stuff whenever is good for them, but they never get back to me.

HELP!
Lots of good advice already, hoping the friending helps you out!

Later guys!! Gotta go back to work. :wave2:
Hi Z! Yay! Ten Days!!!!

I'm at work. Gonna go check out some TRs in a minute. What's up? No drunken espanol? No thread bashing?

Hi Kristel!

~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I'm headed to bed. Can't stay up for drunken Spanish tonight. Plus, I don't have anything to drink in order to participate! Hope everyone has a great night!
Hello Jodi! Your trip is SO soon!!!!
David rented clubs and said they were great quality!
Well I walked from Nazareth to Jerusalem and back again, it was quite tiring :rotfl: In Sunday school BTW I finally came up with something about Jesus childhood!!!!
Good to know!
Wow Jo, you must be exhausted! :rotfl:
Exactly. Last night's was relatively painless. Ended up with the Bee Movie. My problem is that sometimes they'll agree on something, but it's something we've seen over and over and recently, like Ice Age 2. They LOVE it. I like it OK, but don't want to see it every 3rd week. I'm always pushing for "x, we haven't seen it in a while." Sigh.
We joke around here that if there are TWO choices, they will each ALWAYS chose one. It gets pretty annoying though.
So sorry about the friend's nephew. That is so sad.
Looking back on this post, it's not quite the quick update that I had originally intended. It took a while to think it through and type - not a single smilie in the update portion, how thoroughly uncharacteristic of me. I'm guessing I just needed to work through it all. Thank you for being here for me. :grouphug: (feeling a bit more normal now)
I'm heading out for some more family time then the wedding. I'll check back later or tomorrow.
TTFN! :wave:
Glad your visit is going well, David. Have fun and enjoy!
Morning Fockers! Hope everyone's well...just doing a drive by...trying to get caught up on some much needed housework today.
Hi LL! We're good here. Got another 5-6 inches of snow last night (which CE is getting now....) and Bob had to snowblow it! But, other than that, we're at least out of the deep freeze! Whew! Going out to Payless in a few.
**************
Hi guys! Well, I watched Die Hard with Bob last night. Then we read for a while and went to bed.
Did anyone subscribe to the Disney Magazine while it was out? I did, but only for a year, so I only have a few issues. I wish I had known about it sooner. However, I did go through them last night and found tons of recipes from WDW and DL and some neat articles that I had forgotten. There is one about the Adventurer's Club that was pretty interesting.
We've hit a temp of 16 degrees, so Woot Woot! No more below zero for now. Yay!
Hope you guys are having a great weekend!
MEL
I tried to find a way to change it since most people know me as Margie.
I was able to go in and add my maiden name:confused3
I think we are checking out Circuit City after lunch today.
We are going to check out the one here later.
See, this is why I steadfastly have said no to having one, even when the kids were little and I was crazed. I'd have to clean up for one, anyway. :rotfl2:
:lmao:
Nice! It's truly snowing hard here. Somehow I missed that this was coming until D asked me to check weather yesterday for skiing. I think we'll let today's snow come down, and ski on good new stuff tomorrow since there's no school.
Jimmy was happy enough. He was able to throw a couple of snowballs at Jim and wear his snow boots!:thumbsup2
My first boyfriend, whom I've remained friends with (D knows and likes him, it's fine - and yes, he just friended me on FB this week ;)) had just sent me an e-mail that his 18 year old nephew had died in a car accident yesterday morning. :sad1: I remember him being so excited to become an uncle - his sister is much older and so we were juniors in h.s. My mom taught me and 1st bf, but also the nephew. He was an only child. I can't imagine what his mom is feeling. So, I called my mom, figuring the small-town grapevine would have worked, but she hadn't heard, so I made my mom cry, too. It's just sad.
I looked it up in their local paper and news this morning, and there's not much info - single car accident. :sad2:
So sorry CE:grouphug:
Morning Janet! We've never done Universal. I think we'll probably give it a try once the Harry Potter area comes on line. I haven't heard anything about that in a while. Does anyone know if it's still a go?
We are looking forward to it! THe Universal website says that it is scheduled to open late 2009, but I I haven't heard much on possible opening dates or anything:confused3
BTW, I did note that the closed, and supposedly dead, v.8 thread appears to have your touch on it...
Hey :p
Well, I hung out with my brother for a couple hours last night. It was nice to just discuss families and catch-up over a quiet dinner. It's the first time we've really had a chance to hang out since mom passed away. We did talk about her a bit, and there were definitely some painful moments. But, I think we are starting to refocus on the happy memories rather than her passing, the sickness and the last few months of her life. After dinner, I went over to my cousin's and my brother headed out to meet his friend.
Sounds like a nice evening and something you both needed!:grouphug:
You are going to have so much fun!
I can't wait! I think Jimmy is going to love the whole Marvel area and Dr. Suess and he is a huge Curious George fan!
Jen - I read the education thread. I really wanted to slap a few people, too.
IT was awful wasn't it!:sad2:
::yes:: I loved it. Now I get one called Celebrations. It's published by Lou Mongello (WDW Trivia Books) and the guys who does the Hidden Mickey's books. It comes out 6 times a year. I've gotten 2 so far and I really like it. I will take picts of them and post!:thumbsup2
Morning Fockers!
Thanks for the well wishes, Namath is doing OK. We got a little snow this morning which is the equivalent of puppy crack and he likes to bury his face in it. Well, with the cone he ends up scoopping the white stuff up and I had to empty the cone out when he came in:lmao:
Of course now he is exhausted and falling fast asleep, though he is fighting, it, he has the head bob going now, I give him 30 seconds and he will be out!
Yum, Girl Scout cookies, I have 2 nieces with a third coming that sell those. Is it the tagalongs that are the chocolate/peanut butter? I may have been known to inhale a bos or 2 in my time.
Well, I bought work home this weekend and haven't looked at it yet, so I better get going.
Have a great day Fockers.
Good Morning Focker Friends :)
Hope everyone is having a great day.... Kat looks like you've already gotten some great advice :) I hope you are able to get your stuff back without any more trouble.
Rosie: I am in there as Tanya H if that helps... I think you may have already figured that one out :)
We're at 16, too. It's still snowing, though it's slowed down to be super pretty. I think tomorrow it's going to be mid-20's! It's a heat wave! :rotfl:
Jimmy was happy enough. He was able to throw a couple of snowballs at Jim and wear his snow boots!:thumbsup2
Very good. ;)
Jim and Jimmy are back from the grocery store. I am going to make them go more often. WHen they go they get everything on my list, plus stuff that wasn't and still spend less money than I ever do!:thumbsup2
Jim is now taking Tinkerbell to have her nails done (Little priss:rolleyes: ) and Jimmy and I are just hanging out waiting for the Eagles game to start. No company today because I want to get stuff done.
Jimmy asked to go to his school tomorrow for the MLK day of service so that is what we are going to do. I don't know exactly what we are going to be doing, but it should be fun. I'm sure we will take pictures!:thumbsup2
Was playing over on the CM site. Anyone interested in becoming a Princess or a Fairy? WDW is holding open audiitons on January 21st!
I'm so sorry CE that's terrible!
Sounds like you're having a lovely time :goodvibes
I spoke with Em earlier and she's doing really well, her DH says shovelling the snow off the driveway is too hard so she's doing it :eek:
Nice, have fun! And I think I'm the wrong, um, body type for the princesses and fairies. :rotfl2:
I'm so sorry CE that's terrible!
Thanks, it's always bad when it's someone so young. :sad2:
I spoke with Em earlier and she's doing really well, her DH says shovelling the snow off the driveway is too hard so she's doing it :eek:
I suggest a snowblower or a plow guy. ;)
D's talking about going out to snowblow, speaking of. The bad news is that, since the neighbors did our driveway in the last snowfall, and then it got so frigid, the whole driveway is pretty much a sheet of ice under the new snowfall. I'm glad he's going to do it, and not me - that snowblower is heavy and hard to maneuver on top of ice sheets. :guilty:
The kids are out playing with the neighbor girls. I forbade them coming inside :rotfl2: , which might not be nice, but I just don't want a houseful of kids today. I'm doing laundry ongoing, need to clean the kitchen more, etc., etc.
Well I poked around and figured out how to add Margie to my FB name. I put it in as my middle name. Even though most of you have figured it out.
Thanks though! :rotfl:
Yes, that is what TEENAGED neighbor boys are for!!!
Good Afternoon Fockers! :wave2:
Lazy morning - I made Mickey waffles for breakfast and we all played on the Wii. Waldo is parked in front of the TV watching football. :boring: Got nothign planned today - just chillaxin' with the kiddos enjoying the warm weather. It's really beautiful out today. :goodvibes
This is so true, I couldn't believe how the place emptied out after a little rain when we were there. We walked right onto everything!:thumbsup2 IT made me and Jim :lmao:
Californians are fickle creatures, Janet. We're like lettuce - we need to be kept cool and dry. Too much heat makes us wilt, too much moisture causes rotting. :lmao:
Can you say 160 points at AKV?
Cross your fingers that I make it through ROFR. :teeth:
Woo Hooty!!! You're my neighbor!!! :hug:
Could you not see my tags while I was grounded? I always saw them. Hmmmm....weird.
I always saw your tags, but not your siggie. :confused3
Well I walked from Nazareth to Jerusalem and back again, it was quite tiring :rotfl: QUOTE]
FINALLY!!! The Brit gets tired walking from somewhere! :faint:
;) LY!
D was in Palm Springs overnight Friday, said it was hot... Sigh.
DUDE - I love Palm Springs! :suuny:
