Mitch's work party is tonight at Moonfish. I have no idea what to wear however. I won't be dressy but I like to look nice when I go out and most of his people just wear jeans all the time. I'm all for comfort, but it is a party.

You'll think of something. Every picture I see of you you are always dressed so nicely:goodvibes

I've added lots of photos to FB and have started loading the first day onto photobucket so I can start the TR :goodvibes

Oh sure, FB is more important than we are:rolleyes1

We don't have a Chicken Pox epidemic here, but we've had 17 cases of Whooping Cough appear in a local school system recently! They're suggesting that everyone get a booster! Of course, as I listen to DD4 coughing, that's all I can think about. :sad2:

Hope she feels better Jodi:hug:

And tell DD7
to break a leg:goodvibes
 Jodi. Popping in to try to entertain myself. ISS is death. Just to let you know.

ISS?????:confused3

=====================================================

Bored out of my mind at work and the day doesn't end for another 3 hours. We can keep each other entertained Jen!:thumbsup2

I have been checking vacay time. I am scheduled to be off Christmas Eve and New Years Eve (yes we are open both days and have to use vacy if we want them off), but I am thinking about taking a 1/2 day on the 23rd, only becasue I don't think I am going to get time to wrap Jimmy's gifts before that. He has school that day so I can get it done before he comes home!

T, I, DD4 has caught another cold. She gets a really croupy cough every time she gets sick, so if she's coughing, Momma ain't sleeping.

When she gets like that have you used a "vaporizer" ( warm mist) with some Vick's Vaposteam in it ??

When Sarabeth gets like that .. It has most always done the trick. SOMETIMES I have to get the cough controlled with some cough syrup or hot tea with honey in it.. then add on the vaporizer. As long as it is putting out the steam.. she stays cough free. I've done this with both the kids since they were babies.

We've got DD7's piano recital tonight and we absolutely have to go. I'm hoping DD4's good enough to go sit through at least DD7's performance. My mom told us last night that she and my dad weren't going to be making the 90 minute drive down for the recital tonight and that about broke DD7's heart. She cried herself to sleep. :sad1: It made me so sad to see her so sad. She would go ballistic if either her dad or I had to stay home with DD4. So, we're dragging her there. Maybe DH will take her home early if necessary. I ran out this morning and bought a red rose to give to DD7 from my mom after the recital. If only they lived a bit closer, she would have come down. But to drive 90 minutes to listen to one song and drive 90 minutes home is asking a lot! Try explaining that to a 7 year old who really loves her grandma though. :sad2:

I can't believe that.. :scared1:

Well, T, it's not cold and drizzly here, it's SNOWING again! Acutally, it's sunny and snowing! And cold. And don't worry, I don't have my tree up yet either! Too many things to do and not enough time! ARGHHHHH !!!

Me too on the tree thing Jodi... wanna borrow my "Grinch Avatar" ??

Janet - I say do it as long as you have the vacation days. DH has one day to use before the end of the year. He's planning to use it on 12/26. I just hope he doesn't have to use it before then!

I'm supposed to work in DD7's class on Monday and she has a special program on Wednesday and then her party on Friday. DD4 should be in school for all three days, but of course, that depends on her getting better!!!!!

I'm planning on getting video of DD7's recital tonight and posting it on YouTube for my mom. I'll post the link after we upload it.

They have work. Most of them don't do it though. ;) Which is usually why they end up here. Vicious cycle and such...

Maybe you should go all mama on them, in a good way! ;)

You'll think of something. Every picture I see of you you are always dressed so nicely:goodvibes

Thank you. It's a southern thing. Never leave the house looking carpy. :thumbsup2
Although since moving here, I do more than I should.

Taking time off is always a good idea. :thumbsup2

ISS=In school suspension

Like Janet doesn't know what ISS is. :rolleyes1

We have a nebulizer. She's been on asthma treatments since birth, but I really don't want to have to put her on those. The cough has only been bad at night. We got a new furnace last winter that has a built-in humidifier, so I was hoping I wouldn't need to use a separate one for her room, but I may break it out. Do you use cool or warm mist? We don't have a warm one, but I may look into it. I'll have to see if I've still got some Vicks.

I don't want to be a Grinch, but I'm just running out of time to do everything I want to. I would love to have my tree up already and decorated, but I just can't seem to get there. Every time I think I'll do it, something else comes up. In fact, the bottom third of the tree is sitting in the stand (that I fixed last night with plumber's tape) right now. I just have to get over there and "fluff" it. Maybe when I'm done writing my Girl Scout cookie sales letter for the parents of the girls in our troop. :sad2:

Oh sure, FB is more important than we are:rolleyes1
But you're all there and it's far easier to upload photos than write a TR :rotfl2:

BTW we call ISS Detention and I've never had it :snooty: :rotfl2: No honest I never got detention I was a good girl

What if you ordered a small decorated tree from Harry & David or somewhere, or will the kids not go for that? Not having that extra week after Thanksgiving is really screwing things up.

ISS=In school suspension

Oh, I think we call that something else here. I will have to ask Jim:confused:
BTW - What's the point of an ISS. Isn't it rewarding the kids to have to sit at school and do nothing?

Janet - I say do it as long as you have the vacation days. DH has one day to use before the end of the year. He's planning to use it on 12/26. I just hope he doesn't have to use it before then!

I am going to. It still gives me 5 days to carry over into next year in case of an emergency!:thumbsup2

Jim gets mortified when I walk outside to get the paper in the morning in my jammies (I wear a coat over them!):lmao:

Like Janet doesn't know what ISS is. :rolleyes1

When they get sick ... the extra moisture will ease that tickle.
ONLY use the warm.. it is not as susceptible to the Molds that you will get with the cool mist.

I hear ya Jodi... I am battling the same problems. BUT EVERYDAY SOMETHING just HITS ME.. Scott was home today.. asked if I wanted to catch an early show of "The day the Earth Stood Still"... I flashed him the look. That's what I need... something else to drag me away from the house.
I'm not happy being the "GRINCH" but It's the 12 th of December. No Wreath's thanks to Scott :headache: and NO TREE.
I guess the kids will put theirs up tonight. Even if the Family room looks like Hiroshima... the day AFTER...

I'm not at Facebook, Jo. :sad1:

We had detention too, but that was after school. If you were really bad, they'd put you in ISS during school as well. I never got anything though. I too was an

I got Kat's card today. Beautiful! :goodvibes Mine went out yesterday, finally! Although I mailed them from my sister's because our mail slot is in our door and I didn't want to leave them on the porch in the severe weather. I'm sure her postal carrier is not nearly as good as Steve, so who knows when you'll get them. ;)

Pretty much.

Oh, I mailed my cards today but not the ornament yet. I can't find exactly what I am looking for.

My ornament will go in the mail on Sunday (Staples has a UPS store in it). I have to buy a box for it tomorrow!

BUt I can't access facebook at work:headache:
Don't worry I'll post them here on my TR, actually I'll probably post more here than on FB :thumbsup2

I'm not at Facebook, Jo. :sad1:
See reply above :goodvibes

There has just been a mutiny, I didn't want to put our decorations up till next weekend but I've been overruled and they're going up this weekend, bah humbug :rotfl2:

Oh and I keep forgetting to say thanks to Dawn for the lovely homemade card you sent to CSR and also to Michelle and Janet fot the cards you sent here even though I'd said I'm not sending any
