OMG, it was a mistake to put Gramma in charge of getting the freaking drops into Leo's eye the first time. She just called because he's refusing and she's "had it." :headache:

Calgon, take me away!!!!

Don't hold back Dawn... Tell us how you really feel ;)
That was me holding back. I could have said that she was always rude and mean to me, her husband's a simple-minded putz, her three sons are absolute terrors (the oldest is flunking out of middle school), and her daughter's boyfriend is a drug dealer. Not to mention I haven't seen them in almost three years. They are exactly the type of people I protect my kids from being exposed to and I was glad to sever our "friendship" when she moved. There. See? I could have said all that. :lmao:

I never chimed in, but I like $20 a whole lot better than $40! :thumbsup2
That's what I'm talking about! :thumbsup2

OMGosh! How frustrating! :headache:

Has anyone be following the Caylee Anthony Story (V and Angela, I'm sure you can't realy not follow it down there). CNN is reporting that they found human child remains 1/4 of a mile from the Anthony house. Not confirmed male or female, but all speculation is that it is Caylee:sad2:

I sent out my cards, ornament and secret santa today. So, that can be crossed off my list. :yay: I also had a nice breakfast alone with a good book. :cloud9:

I have to get my ornament in the mail. I have to get a little something to put in the box with it and then I will take it to UPS on Sunday!

The kids will be home in about an hour,

I;m lost, where were they???

Can you believe the girl that I've denied being friends TWICE on facebook just asked again with a note asking if I was mad at her? :headache: :sad2:
I guess I'll deny her again. I'm not going to say, "No, I'm not mad, I just don't want anything to do with you and your crazy family." Geez.

Maybe 3 times is the charm?

My Cards... save one... are sitting in the mailbox :woohoo: :woohoo: now waiting for our %$#@$% Mailman. He's more concerned about his cigarette and yaking on his phone than putting the right mail in the right boxes.

Ugh, how annoying!

:rolleyes1

Well, we're there this weekend anyway, so maybe - maybe we just need to head over a day early. Is what I'm thinkin. ;)

Sounds great to me...are you able to get a room at this late date?

OMG, it was a mistake to put Gramma in charge of getting the freaking drops into Leo's eye the first time. She just called because he's refusing and she's "had it." :headache:

Calgon, take me away!!!!

Ugh, When Jimmy had pink eye we had to wrap him in his coat (without his arms in the sleeves) One of us would half lay on him to keep him still and the other (Jim  ) would hold his head still and put the drops in...ahhh yeah, lots of fun:sad2:

T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Miss you hanging out here. Brownies is just taking up too much of your time

I had a hard time finding an ornament I liked too, but I was inspired this weekend

Never heard of Cost Plus, must be a West Coast thing:confused:
Hey Janet! :wave2: Brownie's is taking up TONS of my time. More below.... Cost Plus... yes someone posted Pier 1 with booze. Great booze. Fun booze. :lmao:
T - Hi Stranger! I've really got to start thinking about DLR again. It's coming up pretty quickly!
Just keep me posted - we'll have to cement a meeting plan. ;)

Janet - I remember seeing Cost Plus when Eric lived in San Francisco. It's not on the east coast, but Eric said they called it Pier One with booze, if that tells you anything.
:thumbsup2 That's it exactly!
We had a Cost Plus here but they closed. I thought it was ALL of them...
Nope, it's HUGE here. The did close most of the Pier 1 stores here, though.

Ok Fockers, I need some advice. I have completely had it with my children and their lack of room cleaning. The upstairs bathroom is a mess with clothes all over the floor. I refuse to clean up for them as they are old enough (11, 9, 9). They don't put away their clean clothes and then throw then back into the laundry room. I am determined to win this battle so I have threatened no toys for Christmas unless their rooms are clean. Is this too harsh? I haven't wrapped anything yet and will not put anything under the tree until I am satisfied. I have tried being nice, mean, made deals, you name it. What more can I do other than let them win?
Sounds like you've got some good advice. I do the same thing as Dawn and Jodi. Rustle the trash bag and they move it!

It's funny I'm giving advice when my kids are driving me up the wall right now with their mouths. I'm hoping my lack of patience due to hormone medication switching is the real reason I'm so crabby and not that they really are being so dern frustrating.
Dude I need a plate of patience. Right quick! These kids are driving me batty and here's the kicker.... their last day of school is next Friday and I'll have them 24/7 for 2 weeks! :faint:
Doug had an MRI done on Monday. We go to Indy on th 18th for his check up. He has been doing better and better with each treatment. He will start #5 at the end of this month. I asked him to see if his mom wanted to go with us. She said yes. We plan on swinging by Trader Joe's before we head back home. I have to work that night. It will be my last night of work until Jan 3rd
That's great Kristel!
So, today I plan on getting all the cards signed. I addressed all of them last night. YAY! I have to see Dr. Seigle today for the eye. It is healing well, so I hope it's a good visit. You never know though!
Hey! Keep your chin up! :thumbsup2 Sending good thought to you today, Mel.
Hey - wait a minute!!! That's not country.
It's not? Maybe it's a little bit rock and roll? :confused3 ;)
I'm going to a Scholastic Book sale that is supposed to be a huge clearance sale with great prices.
Ooh! Me too! They have one here as well.
I missed the whole thing, but I am sorry about that.
Ok, someone better PM me the details... I need to know if I need to get ghetto on someone!
I truly don't remember if I heard the alarm and thought I hit "snooze" but hit "reset" (I purposely give myself one "snooze" with the alarm time - I can't just jump out of bed.) or if the alarm never went off for some weird reason, but my neighbor, thankfully, called at 7:15 needing to borrow a bottle of water for her son's field trip. That was about 20 minutes after I get up, normally, and I was so happy she called! Phew!
Dude - the snooze button is the work of the devil! :headache:
i woke up at 11pm and the other 2 kids were already in bed. they didn't even wake me up. can i get that mother of the year now???
:lmao: NOw that's funny!
Reid is feeling much better today but since he had a fever yesterday, still can't go to school, so Tantie will be busy all day. Who knew Motrin worked so well? It's supposed to be chucking here all day too, with tornado watches. But 75 degrees.
Motrin is my drug of choice... well after the night-night juice, that is. :rolleyes1
I slept great last night, but still need more I've just done the food shopping and then a neighbour came round and we chatted about WDW for ages (she's going in August) so a lazy day just what I need
So where can we read about this wonderful adventure, Jo??
Okay...it's my turn to need help with Jon. He is refusing to eat lately. Usually, he can be picky. But, he's flat out refusing whole meals. Including not eating breakfast.
I'm no help on this one Jen. I have 2 kids that can go days without eating, no matter what I try.
Perhaps you should call the doctor? :confused3
Morning! Wanna know how my crappy week is progressing? Two words:

PINK
EYE
Blech!! Sorry, hun! Ok, and now a  for Leo, as I know it can be painful!

Oh! BTW- I picked the Mickey necklace that no one liked! :lmao: i really loved it since it was a little more blingy. The swirl one was cute, but it was $40 vs $20. Then they had a $5 coupon if you joined their mailing list and free shipping. So I only paid $15.
Who? WHat? WHere? WHen? I missed all this! Where'd you get it?
Calgon, take me away!!!!
Oh dear!
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

I've been so busy with Brownie lately and now I've got my coding test on Sunday, so trying to study for that one as well. I'm nervous. It costs $400 to take and if I fail, I only have 1 free retake. That's a lot of cheddar to lose out on. So how's that for pressure? :lmao:

Last night we had our Brownie meeting and tonight we have our Leader/Daughter Christmas party. I also have to head over to Maddie's school for my volunteer time in about 30 mins.

Next Wednesday the Brownies have their Investiture Ceremony and Christmas Party and Friday they have neighborhood Christmas Caroling.

Next Tuesday is Evan's Christmas Program and next Friday is Maddie's classroom Holiday Party and I'm in charge of that flippin' thing because no other parent volunteered. :headache:

HEY V??? Pass me that Calgon! :rotfl2:

Hope everyone has a great day! :grouphug:

They closed a bunch of Pier One's here too. Was never a fan anyway

You'll do fine T. We will all send the good vibes your way on Sunday. What time is the test and how long is it?:goodvibes

Sorry V. I remember when Jon was little I had to practically SIT on him to hold him down to shove those drops in. Incentives worked when he got a little older...:rolleyes1

You're going to do WONDERFUL on that test! :cool1:

I lost my blackberry down the crapper. I just got home from seeing a client and his mother brought him today, not his two assistants. She needed help transferring him in the pot...and I went in to help. He reached in my pocket, grabbed my phone...and tossed it down the toilet!

I have a piece of poo phone.

I'm sorry, but... :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Hi everyone

Hiya, T2!

Hi peeps! No time to catch up now - got Brownies tonight, but I wanted to stop in and say "Hay y'all!" :goodvibes Today I'm a little bit country.

Howdy, T! ;)

Doug had an MRI done on Monday. We go to Indy on th 18th for his check up. He has been doing better and better with each treatment. He will start #5 at the end of this month. I'm so glad he's doing better. :goodvibes

That's what I remember.. without coffee.

I'd say you did an excellent job. I'm sorry you're so stressed.

They're allowing the girls to start taking orders for "friends and family" on December 15th and then publicly on Jan 2nd. We'll see how that works.

That seems so early!

ce-- dont you hate when you oversleep!!! hope your day gets better!!

Thanks, so far it's been fine since then... ;)

When does he arrive? And glad you woke up

I don't know. If he left the house at 3:00, then they were probably flying out at 6:00 (he needs to be there 2 hours early for international flights.) So it's what, a 5-6 hour flight from here? He should be there by now. :) Wanna go say hi? :goodvibes

I HATE threatening over food. But, he has to eat. He has refused to eat breakfast the past few days. Stating he's not hungry.

Oh, Jen, I don't know what to tell you. My kids will occasionally pull the "I'm not hungry" crap and then immediately ask for dessert, which doesn't fly here - but not just not eat at all. Hugs, anyway.

Oh, dear lord. Mine aren't out until the 24th, thank goodness. And even then, I might dump them at the club if they do a "parents day out" deal like they did last year. ;)
*********************************************

Well, I did tennis, went to the grocery, picked up the cards, got the stamps, got gas, and now that I'm sort of caught up again, I'm going to get those puppies out of here. :cool1:

So far, we're still getting rain and not sleet, but we're under this horrible ice warning, and I'm not feeling great about the chances of school on time tomorrow. I have my annual "Poke and Prod" appointment tomorrow at 8:20, so if the bus is normal, or if school's canceled completely, I'm OK, but if they do a 90 minute delay, I'll have to reschedule. Sigh. I just want it done, so I don't have to think about it for another year. ;)

OK, off to do cards! Have fun!

Okay...it's my turn to need help with Jon. He is refusing to eat lately. Usually, he can be picky. But, he's flat out refusing whole meals. Including not eating breakfast.
I'm sorry Jen I normally have the opposite problem, hope he eats soon :sad2:

Jo - saw the pic on all ears..very cool!
Thanks, Deb was really nice!

I always lay down and put a drop on closed eyes, when they open thei eyes the drops go in :thumbsup2

Sure :rotfl2: BTW I'd be surprised if the flight was only 5 hours, it took me 10 to get to MCO!

I'm going to get those puppies out
Do you know what that means here? :rotfl2:
