Morning, chicas. I already called and got an appointment for this morning between PE and volleyball. I'm going to tell him that the coughing isn't better and I have a hard time breathing without coughing still. I laid there last night trying to fall asleep freakishly aware that I needed to breathe, but struggling. Scary!

I talked to K about our trip. He's nervous about going on a trip when the economy's so bad. He worries that we should take all the money and pay a bill off. I know what he means, but I also think if we can pay for it with cash it's not making our life harder, it's what I want to do. These furniture bills will be paid off by the end of 09 with regular payments anyway.

I also worry about my cousin's reaction to us going on a trip and possibly not going up to see them. She's going to be mad at me, I'm sure. We haven't been up there since C was a baby. But the thing is, that her boys are 16 and not really interested in behaving nicely around my kids. They say bad words, argue with their mom, and last time, one said he was so sick of A right in front of A and me. I was pi$$ed. Who does he think he is?! Last viist wasn't fun. I couldn't wait for them to leave- so why would I choose that over Disney?
It's just going to tick her off. She can afford to do whatever she wants, but we have to pick and choose.

Anyway, I probably won't be home until after 3 when volleyball is over, unless I have time in between to come hom for a bit. No more espanol!

We had a nice visit with Kat and KC last night. They are so much fun except they were tired since they had been going since 7.30 that morning. So we had drinks and walked a bit before they went to rest. We did see Night Ranger and they were really good. Who knew? I like the few of their songs I knew and they really rocked. It was so like an 80's concert though with the ripped jeans, long hair and guitar solos. Mitch and I are old! but we had a good time.

I'm glad you had fun with the international contingent last night and although I'm sorry I missed it, I had no idea what was going on!

Today I have to see Dr. Seigle for the eye. I am REALLY hoping that he'll take the stitches out of the lower lid today and maybe let me STOP the dialating drops so that i can MAYBE drive again.... I'm going stir crazy.

NotBob booked his flight to Japan last night. It was over 12K!!!! Isn't that nuts? I really don't want him to go. I know he has to, but since I barely can do anything by myself yet, I'm really scared.

Oh, and an SD update.... He is doing GREAT! He is going to try a sleepover at his friend, Zack's house tonight. That was one of his big issues when the panic attacks started so he has been working towards this goal for a while. Seems odd to even wish for something so EASY and SIMPLE but for him it's been so hard. Oh, and I forgot to tell you guys, last night SD told us that one of his friends (really we've known this kid since kindy but they sort of drifted apart as they got into upper grades and haven't hung out together at all since a couple of years ago when I said I thought he was a bad kid...) Got ARRESTED and EXPELLED for selling drugs at school.

This should shock me. It doesn't, sadly. The kid was really heading down the wrong path for a while and his parents (though nice enough) are so clueless. I feel really bad for the dad, because he's a really nice guy. The mom has her OWN issues...IYKWIM?

Anyway, SD was really dissppointed in the kid (though not surprised either) and mentioned to me that he's the only one of his group that hasn't tried pot. He's a good kid. He makes good decisions but SERIOUSLY???? What do I do with that info? I'm thrilled he shares with us (and I'm sure NARCing on his friends to their parents would end that...) so what do I do? I want to tell him, NO you can NEVER go over to their houses again....

Here's the thing. There is a teacher here at my school who owns a time share in florida through wyndham. He has said he could get me a 1 bedroom off-site for about $100/night. I would then have to rent a car. Should I do this? Do you think I could drive around by myelf?

OR...should I look at the website and see what I could get there first???



Anyways...as for Jon...the child in question will not be in school today. (I just got off the phone with the school) For "reason" that make me happy. I heard through my connections that he has issues which require medication and he has been without his meds. So, they are getting that taken care of before he comes back.

I will be meeting with the principal and vice principal after school today. I'm still not happy.

I have a call into the lawyer AGAIN this morning...she was in court yesterday...and she is my brother's wife's mother...hehhehheh...to see what I should do legally.

This will be taken care of. But, at least Jon will not have to deal with this kid today.
