It's a holiday here and we all had a nice long lie in, Jess and I went to the supermarket to get the ingredients for her food tech lesson this week, fruit salad, then we were going to go for a walk and picnin but it's gone cold and a little rainy so they're playing on the Wii instead :rotfl2:

hi jo! it's the same here, except lots of rain! the wii sounds like a good idea. too bad my 3 yr old will beat me in bowling. :lmao::lmao:

Yesterday my sister's BFF had a baby, so I kept Reid whilst they went to the hospital. He makes me laugh and that's so what I need since Mitch is gone. Although he wanted to talk to Mooch so we called and got his voice mail. Reid couldn't understand why Mooch wasn't talking back to us. :rotfl:
So cute :goodvibes

Good Morning Fockers:goodvibes It's another rainy, dreary day here. ALl I wanted to do was stay in bed this morning.

me too!! rain , rain , go away!!

oh and i will never give up vacations! i like to travel too much. so, guess i will continue working for a looonnnngg time. unless, i win the lottery, then i could travel around the world! ( but, i think you have to actually play the lottery to win) :lmao::lmao:

Morning all! I fell behind again - I'm sorry! :grouphug:

We had a (much needed) great weekend. On Sat. morning, Leo went to the place where he rides for Sat. Club. They get to take care of the smaller animals, learn to groom horses, and put in some riding time from 9-12. He had a blast! Then we spent the afternoon poolside. Sun. involved a trip to the beach, where Leo forgot he was afraid of the Gulf and body-surfed his little heart out! We followed that with a dip in the pool and forgot all about the stupid Swine Flu.

Crap. We're back to reality now, and it's all Swine Flu all the time. :headache: At work, we've been told that directors will send anyone exhibiting flu-like symptoms home and force them to take vacation time until they recover. I get it, but these are non-medical professionals making the calls and it's freaking allergy season. If I lose precious vacay time because I'm sneezing my brains out, I'll be livid!

Also, several area schools decided to close this week due to 3 possible cases. If Leo's school closes for a week, my vacation plans this summer will be shot; I won't have enough vacation hours to cover it all. :sad2:

Wow at long last there was lots to quote :thumbsup2 It's a holiday here and we all had a nice long lie in, Jess and I went to the supermarket to get the ingredients for her food tech lesson this week, fruit salad, then we were going to go for a walk and picnin but it's gone cold and a little rainy so they're playing on the Wii instead :rotfl2:

It's suposed to rain here all week. I'm not looking forward to it.

( but, i think you have to actually play the lottery to win) :lmao::lmao:

That's what I've been told:lmao:

No school here have been closed, but 2 in Delaware have been. I said to Jim if they close the schools here in Philly he and Jimmy wouldn't get out of school until mid-July :faint:

It's ridiculous:sad2:

Sorry to hear about the work/school situation in regards to the swine flu. I think it is a bit of an overreaction in my opinion. They are now saying that this swine flu in no more virulent than the regular flu and they certainly don't go around closing schools down for that. We have cases up here in Canada and nowhere up here have these extreme measures been taken. I don't get it. :confused3

If we lived near each other, I would babysit Leo for you.:goodvibes and probably spoil him rotten.

Hey Jo....Why aren't the August hours yet. Can you work on that for me?
YEAH! Me too! :teeth:

They are now saying that this swine flu in no more virulent than the regular flu and they certainly don't go around closing schools down for that.
Exactly!
The media is causing a panic ::yes::
Yep. I think people have had enough coverage of economic woes; Swine Flu came along at just the right time. What appalls me is that governments seem to be taking their cues from the media instead of the other way around. :sad2:

If we lived near each other, I would babysit Leo for you.:goodvibes and probably spoil him rotten.
Oh, I know you would s'latey! ;)

Sounds like you only go to films with hot men in :rotfl:

It just happened to be a hot guy weekend. ;)

Z - :wave2: miss you! Jim wants to see that Start Trek Movie in IMAX. I will give him your official review, although he won't really care that Kirk is hot:lmao:

:lmao: I don't think so either! But you can tell him the original Spock makes a cameo. ;)

I like the way you think Rachel. I say the same thing about the lottery, but rarely ever play too. :rotfl:

V: sounds like you and Leo had a lovely weekend. :goodvibes

Lessa: OMG! I didn't realize your trip was so soon already!! :woohoo::yay:

************************************

Morning/afternoon all!!

Well since I slept all day yesterday, I didn't sleep last night and am still up.:sad2: Gonna see if I can stay up, maybe get my schedule somewhat back to normal.

Not much going on here today. It rained over the weekend and now it's super hot today.

I'll try to check in later.

TTFN :tigger:

Not much planned for the rest of the day. It's been raining all day and apparently it's going to be like this most of the week:headache: Jim has softball games Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then on Thursday he has report card conferences. I have a meeting about the school Spring Fair on Thursday but I will bring Jimmy with me and Jim will pick him up on his way home. Busy week.
You are a busy momma! Seriously I don't know how you do it all, Janet! :worship:

Okay I better stop I am getting too upset !
 Here, you deserve two, Rosie!
JO says hubby had blood tests for his mysterious headaches. Jo had sticky golf Fri. She also has pink arms and white feet. Jo admits to trampolineing!

Did David's results come in yet? :confused3

DEB’s Chi had cheerleading tryouts on Fri. She didn’t make the squad. I’m sorry to hear that and about your x-friend. I’d send her a card anyway.
Oh Deb, I'm sorry she didn't make it. Glad to hear she's being postive about it.

KAT has a job interview on Thur. She got Bales ashes on Fri. It made her sad again. KC’s bro is a meathead! She is buying Vera W. with her Nintendo proceeds.
Nice Nintendo funds, there Kat! :thumbsup2

DAWN is super busy with the house move and closings. She’s thinking DVC again.:
DVC & Ice Cream = :thumbsup2

LESSA bought a fury swimsuit!!! I read the first line and saw the picture of the ground hog. All I could think was no wonder she's uncomfortable in it. Beautiful flowers!! Page 228, Post #3420.
:rotfl2: Lessa, you're pics are amazing!

We've decided to do a patio with tumbled stone instead of a deck in the back of the house. Our nephew does this kind of stuff for a living. He is coming out some time this week to see if it can be done. It should cost a lot less than a deck made of the composit material. We will still have an octagon deck for the umbrella table. We can do that next year. I want to get something done back there this year. I'm tired of looking at mud and weeds. I miss my hot tub too!
Sounds nice, can't wait to see the pics!
Wish I could meet up with ya'll!
You're not coming down for the weekend? :confused3 Thanks for the mini-flash light advice... I added it to my packing list. :thumbsup2

Here is what the new car looks like.

Desert20Sand20Metallic.jpg
Nice car! :thumbsup2
OMG, I'm turning her into me!
:lmao:

Good morning...
Today we head to Austin for B's dance team try-outs this evening. There are 20 girls and only 11 spots!
I'm really stressed out about it. We'll see what happens...
Good luck B! :cheer2:
Have a good Moday Fockers!
Hi Lori!

Bummer your picnic got rained out!

WHAT???!!! :scared1:

Don't your supervisors know that sneezing is not a sign of a flu? ;)
Sorry to hear about the work/school situation in regards to the swine flu. I think it is a bit of an overreaction in my opinion.
ITA, Lessa.
If we lived near each other, I would babysit Leo for you.:goodvibes and probably spoil him rotten.

Hey stranger! Are you ignoring me on FB?? :headache:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I'm a busy momma this week! :faint:

I started my gym membership last week and went every day, that along with a healthy diet... I'm down a measly 2 pounds! :headache: I guess it's better than nothing, right?

Tomorrow is our Brownie/Mother Tea and I've got to run around getting most of the stuff purchased today. Then tomorrow I have the tea, Wednesday I have a field trip with Maddie's school, Thursday I have a Girl Scout Leader meeting. Friday Andy & I are going to try to go out for dinner ALONE! :lmao:

I'm off to the gym now! Have a great day, all! :flower3:

Holy mushrooms! Chatty morning! ;)

And I could use a break. Bad.

I'll be back late, but I'll try to post about B's try-outs when I get home.

Good luck to B, and enjoy your alone time.

DR is still asleep and I'm heading to the couch to catch up on the news. I have laundry to do today and pick up some. Nothing special at all.

Have a good Moday Fockers!

Is the news all flu, all day again?

Have a good day!

What a rational thought, Rosie. Why can't my mother be that way?

;)

Reid couldn't understand why Mooch wasn't talking back to us.
Awww.... :lovestruc

OK a non-enabling reply, when I looked into DVC I just didn't think that we would visit WDW every single year for the next x years, plus for the price of the fees each year we could almost get our 14 days at POR inc free dining. For us it just didn't make sense, maybe because the flights are so high too but think off the cons as well as the pros!

Look at Jo, being all rational... :sad2: :rotfl2:A good point, though. :thumbsup2

No I'll never be that bad ;) LY
:upsidedow Right...

Not that type of lie in :rotfl:
I know, just have to tease a little. ;)

it's gone cold and a little rainy so they're playing on the Wii instead :rotfl2:
That's what my kids did with the rainy day yesterday. They bought the Lego Star Wars game with birthday gift cards, and they are obsessed. :lmao:

have fun at tennis and be sure to post pics after the haircut!

Thanks, and I will!

CE - Have fun at tennis:goodvibes

Thanks, I did!

( but, i think you have to actually play the lottery to win)

Well, dang. :rotfl:

We had a (much needed) great weekend.

I'm so glad! :goodvibes

If I lose precious vacay time because I'm sneezing my brains out, I'll be livid!

Oh, V. I hope it doesn't happen.

I know. CNN's been showing for days that the regular old winter flu has killed 16,000 people since January. Oddly, nothing's closed for that, but one person dies in the US of swine flu, and everyone's panicked. I know it spreads easier, don't get me wrong, but I think it's overboard.

We apparently have one case of it here in NH, so for now, we're being "normal" at school and activities. Thank goodness. Because after a week home, I NEED those kids to be in school. :rotfl2:

*********************************************
So, I have fringe! :goodvibes (That's for you, Jo!)

Snapshot_20090504.jpg

I hate the laptop camera photos, but you get the idea. I like it! The girl who'd done my last couple of haircuts left the salon at the gym, so I tracked down the girl who'd done my hair for years before she left the gym salon, and she does such a good job. She knows my style, my hair quirks, etc. :thumbsup2

I need to go to the grocery and also to get a prescription at Target, but I'm feeling lazy. D's working on computer stuff from home (expenses, memos, etc.) and so the house is pretty quiet. I really need some food though, and the Rx, so I should go. Meh.

See you later! :grouphug:

It just happened to be a hot guy weekend. ;)

Sounds good to me... :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

[quote Morning/afternoon all!! [/quote]

Hi, Z! Good luck getting back on track, schedule-wise. :goodvibes

Weren't you just wondering how Janet fits it all in? :faint: I'd say the same to you.

Good for you on the weight loss. :cool1: I did better this week, too. I think company in town actually helped, because then I didn't sit around eating all day and night - I was too embarrassed. :rotfl2: Seriously, the not snacking helped, and so far, I managed to stop that even after they left. :thumbsup2

If we lived near each other, I would babysit Leo for you.:goodvibes and probably spoil him rotten.

Hi Slate. Miss you..you need to be here more often:hug:

I know it! I can't wait! I really need to pull out my summer clothes and decide what to pack. I am such a procrastinator when it comes to packing! :rotfl:

Shhhhhhhhh, Don't tell, I pack the day before;)

YEAH! Me too! :teeth:

See Jo, I'm not the only one who needs them. Get on it woman!:rolleyes1

Yep. I think people have had enough coverage of economic woes; Swine Flu came along at just the right time. What appalls me is that governments seem to be taking their cues from the media instead of the other way around. :sad2:

Ridiculous. I was listening to the news radio staion while I was cleaning Jimmy's room yesterday. All they kept talking about was Jack Kemp dying and swine flu.

In case you are wondering...Jack Kemp is still dead:rolleyes:

:lmao: I don't think so either! But you can tell him the original Spock makes a cameo.

I will let him know:thumbsup2

Morning/afternoon all!!

Hi Z :wave2:

You are a busy momma! Seriously I don't know how you do it all, Janet! :worship:

Thanks T:goodvibes I don't do anything more that you all do, it just seems that all of my stuff gets bunched up into one time frame:confused3

I'm a busy momma this week! :faint:

See what I mean!;)

I know. CNN's been showing for days that the regular old winter flu has killed 16,000 people since January. Oddly, nothing's closed for that, but one person dies in the US of swine flu, and everyone's panicked. I know it spreads easier, don't get me wrong, but I think it's overboard.

Just a little bit;):rolleyes1

. Because after a week home, I NEED those kids to be in school. :rotfl2:

So, I have fringe! :goodvibes (That's for you, Jo!)

Looks great!:thumbsup2

Weren't you just wondering how Janet fits it all in? :faint: I'd say the same to you.

Exactly! :worship:

Hey V - if they close Leo's school send him up here, he can go to school with Jimmy:thumbsup2

Happy Monday.

V - this swine flu thing is ridiculous, a woman here was half way to work when her kid's school called and she had to pick him up because his nose and eyes were running, no fever. HMMMMM do you think those idiots thought that MAYBE it was allergies, because it is allergy season afterall.

Even the CDC is saying this is a virulent strain, how many people have needed to be hospitalized and the death in TX, was a Mexican national who had crossed the border.

Murph thinks I should cancel my California trip:rolleyes: Um, that's not happening.

CE - love the fringe:thumbsup2

T - don't make me look bad in pics with your new bod.;)

Jo - what's wrong with David, I missed this, hope he is ok, I have an ax with his name on it;)

Fantastic!!! That just sounds ridiculous about the flu symptoms :headache:

Hey Jo....Why aren't the August hours yet. Can you work on that for me?
I need them too as I'm planning trips for 2 friends who are going in August and we need to book their ADR's soon :headache:

We have cases up here in Canada and nowhere up here have these extreme measures been taken. I don't get it. :confused3
We have some cases here too Lessa but no schools are closing!

Did David's results come in yet? :confused3
He goes back to the Dr on Friday :thumbsup2

Very cute and thanks :rotfl:

See Jo, I'm not the only one who needs them. Get on it woman!:rolleyes1
Don't worry I will be asking soon :rotfl2:

Jo - what's wrong with David, I missed this, hope he is ok, I have an ax with his name on it;)
Don't worry he doesn't need an axe quite yet :rotfl2: A while back he had some numbness in his face, arm and leg and ended up in ER, he was diagnosed with a type of migraine but has since been to our GP who has ordered blood tests and is sending him to a neurologist, he is also off to the opticians on Wednesday to have his eyes checked too!

Not sure why it has made so much difference but since we pulled the trampoline into the middle of the garden instead of the corner (it has a net) the girls haven't stopped playing on it :confused3 it literally has only moved about 5ft :rotfl2:
