Good morning all !!
Kristel Thanks for the Update!!:thumbsup2
Jo did do a link to my Sept ptr but I have forgotten where:confused3
Up early to do some quick posts and then do my bills YUK:scared1:
Chat tonite Have a great day Ladies and gents !!

If there is one thing you will learn here is to not show off when you have fabulous weather and the rest of don't;) We are a jealous lot:rotfl:
We don't do it to cause jealousy, much. :rolleyes1 :hug:

just as i was getting on here to read, my roommate found my guinea pig!:banana:
Thank goodness. :thumbsup2

Angela - Re: Sunday Ticket..... if you would just move to Indy, you could watch every Colts game without having to pay for them! We get every game on local TV!
Yes, but I still need the Giants, and anyone else who is on my fantasy team. :rotfl:

all the tourists are gone! :woohoo:
They're all here. :rolleyes:

Sad news is I can't do Girls Weekend in October. We've booked a 4 day cruise to Baja for our Anniversary and it's that week.
:sad1: :cool1:

Waldo's surgery is on Monday... THANK GOD!! He'll be down for another 4 weeks for recovery. Give me strength! :angel:
:hug: to you and Waldo.

I bought some LCD lights for under my cabinets.
We have lights there too. Very handy. :thumbsup2

Today was Day 1 of working at night during the week. The good thing is I can do stuff in the morning and not really have to rest before work. Plus I get weekends off!

You won't know what to do with all your extra time. :goodvibes

I have a hair appointment this morning and then I should go to the grocery. Of course I can always put it off until tomorrow since we're going out to dinner tonight. Just Red Lobster because all the reasonably priced fish places have closed! :sad2:

Will they have a car? Maybe you could give them directions to a local movie theater and a good lunch place? That way they can see a movie and they'll be out of the rain.
Or what if you give them an "errand" to do for you? This is what I do with my in-laws. Busy work. It's not just for kids.

:rotfl2: They do have a car. I think we've worked out that I'll go to tennis and they'll chill - they've been driving a ton since they got here. When I get back, we'll probably do lunch and just see what else. Then we'll all go to the boys' tennis lesson and then eat at the club restaurant. :thumbsup2

BTW: Bob just arrived in Peoria. He was in Chicago earlier and drove down. He said that they're getting the fields ready! Ahhhh. I miss Spring in IL!!!
Yep! My dad's trying, but they've had a lot of rain. I miss it, too. :hug:

I won't be too far behind. I'm tired . He had a good appointment with the therapist today and Jim stopped at McD's for him on the way home. Jim had left over chicken parm and spaghetti. I wasn't hungry since I didn't get to go to lunch until almost 3:00. Tomorrow will be another crazy day at work. Jim is supposed to have a softball game tomorrow afternoon but I think he's going to get rained out. The weather is supposed to be carppy at least until Wednesday. Not much else going on..yes I have a boring life!

I'm glad Jimmy had a good appointment! Your life isn't boring. It's what I long for and won't get until at least May 4th. :)

:faint: Yo have the patience of a saint ::yes::

I don't know. I'll tell them, "Oh, no, it's fine..." and then complain to you guys, so is that being a saint or a two-faced liar? :rotfl2:

Oh and i lost my guinea pig in the house already... dont know where he is at the moment, but am going to look.

Oh, no!

We are a jealous lot:rotfl:

That sounded so very Jo-like! :goodvibes

just as i was getting on here to read, my roommate found my guinea pig!

Pshew!

So, I don't know what I was thinking six months ago when I made the girls their dentist appointments at 8:00 am!!!! :scared1: So, now I have to get up really early tomorrow! At least I'll have DD7 to school probably before it starts, so she won't miss anything. Then, DD5 and I will come home and go back to bed! :woohoo:

I hate when I schedule appointments like that. Good luck! I can't believe you're looking at more snow! You've had a much harder year than we have, in the snow department. You started earlier and are still going. We're just looking at rain. :confused3

Sad news is I can't do Girls Weekend in October. We've booked a 4 day cruise to Baja for our Anniversary and it's that week. Bah!
Waldo's surgery is on Monday... THANK GOD!! He'll be down for another 4 weeks for recovery. Give me strength! :angel:

We'll be thinking of you! Congrats on the cruise. I GUESS anniversaries are important... :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

The whole thing plugs in but it has an on/off switch that you install on the cord once you get it where you want it. I installed that switch all by myself. It works beautifully!!:woohoo:

Nice work! Pretty soon you're going to be getting proposals, too! :rotfl:

We go see Doug's doctor at IU Med tomorrow morning. I have to be up at 8AM. :scared: We have to get back ASAP because I go to work later in the afternoon. I'll need a nap.
Good luck - how's he doing? :hug:

So I got in a fight with my mom. :guilty: I wish we were rich.

:hug:

Chat tonite Have a great day Ladies and gents !!

Have a good one, Rosie!

I have a hair appointment this morning and then I should go to the grocery. Of course I can always put it off until tomorrow since we're going out to dinner tonight.

I'm kind of feeling the same way. Had AIL not shown up until this evening, I would have gone after tennis. But now I feel like I need to get home, and we're going out tonight, so why bother? ;)

*****************************************************
I slept with funny dreams, and it's 43 and rainy, so it's good sleeping weather. Alas, I have to be up! :rotfl2:

I need to write out some notes for AIL about what food I have, where it is, etc. and then get ready for tennis.

And I'm sitting here staring off into space... :rotfl:

OK, got to run. Everyone have a fantastic day - I may or may not be back, depending on if I get a free minute. :grouphug:

Good morning! :wave:

I'm back from Busch Gardens... I think I'm broken. :rotfl: We opened and closed the park - 10 hours, people! - and I rode too many rollercoasters for my age. But it was big, big fun! :woohoo: So very good to spend time with the SharkB8's again. Leo had a wonderful time with his buddies. :goodvibes As always, we both enjoy the company of the Focker kids far more than any kids around here, lol! I'll wait for Kate's permission before posting any pics with their family in them, but here are some from our day...

Debra, love the calorie counting. ;)

Wish me luck. ;)
Good luck :hug:

:hug: I'm sorry you're having to deal with it, but it sounds like you being diplomatic in a very awkward situation.
We're staying off site at Vistana Resort, so if any one has any tips about vacationing with a 1 year old, please share.
Thanks :hug:. I stayed at the vistana in January of 2004. Our unit was clean but outdated. They have newer units but I didn't know to request one. Our unit was a two bedroom with the upstairs loft. The kids had their onw little living room and bedroom and were far enough away that they could sleep if we wanted to stay up or whatever.

The pools were great and they even had a putt-putt golf course, tennis, and playgrounds that we never visited so I can't comment on them. We did eat food from the poolside bar and it was pretty good. They rented surrey bikes to get around on.

I was most impressed with the proximity to the parks and also their security. Commuting to the parking lot of any park was just 10 minutes. Plenty of places to eat around.

My biggest advice with vacationing with a 1 year old is to take it easy and plan on having naps and break times. They get tired of being in a stroller all day so find the play spots inside the parks to let them run around a bit. Since you are going in June i would also recommend one of those spray bottles with the fan attached. My 2 year old sprayed it constantly and it kept him occupied for hours.

We've booked a 4 day cruise to Baja for our Anniversary
:woohoo: and :hug: for Waldo

I hope everyone has a good day!
Thanks for the update Kristel. And kuddos on being the electrician

So I got in a fight with my mom. :guilty:
:hug:

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Good morning! Hope everyone is having a great day!

I also went and picked up my Xrays from the dentist and took them to the Oral surgeon. I need to get my wisdom teeth out PRONTO!
Good luck with getting a job and I had 2 of my wisdom teeth out a few years ago, I was awake and I fainted half way through :rotfl2: It didn't hurt at all and was quick it was just the thought of it :rotfl2:

Since we have a 5 year get out of debt plan that we have been sticking to for one year, I turned in my 4 year notice to my boss this morning. :rotfl2:
:rotfl2: And good luck for the new job if you apply!

I also calculated how many calories you burn walking from my desk to the stairs, down two flights of stairs, to my friend Rita's desk, and back. It is about 25 which is coincidentally the amount of calories in one hershey kiss which Rita keeps on her desk :rotfl: So that means I can eat as much as I want as long as I go and get them one at a time right?

So far I've had 6!
OMG :rotfl:

Well... I didn't go anywhere today, as we know, and around 3:40 I went to get it because I knew it needed charging. I plugged it in without turning it on. Finally I turned it on about 4:25, and I had a voicemail from AIL - "Oh, we'll be there around 7:00 tonight!"
Wow :faint: Sounds as though you got everything sorted though :thumbsup2

Jo, :hug: to you and Nanny. I entered as well. :thumbsup2
Thanks and good luck :thumbsup2

Next time i get a small pet i wont get a black one. :rotfl2:
:rotfl:

Then, DD5 and I will come home and go back to bed!
When does she start school? Here they start real school aged 4!

Waldo's surgery is on Monday... THANK GOD!! He'll be down for another 4 weeks for recovery. Give me strength!
Hope it all goes well and good luck to you :rotfl2:

I played electrician in the kitchen. I bought some LCD lights for under my cabinets. I wanted to bring some light to a dark counter corner. I should have had Doug take a picture of me laying on my back on top of the counter trying to get these things screwed into place. Too funny! My arms got tired and I was cussing when I would drop a screw somewhere where I couldn't get it. Very frustrating. The whole thing plugs in but it has an on/off switch that you install on the cord once you get it where you want it. I installed that switch all by myself. It works beautifully!!
You sound just like me :rotfl2:

So I got in a fight with my mom. :guilty: I wish we were rich.
I'm sorry :hug:

On your other pre-TR :rotfl2:

Sounds like loads of fun and was that white legging wearing person English? That's the fashion here at the moment!

Beautiful day today, I even wore shorts to golf, I played really well to start with then went a bit stupid but still managed to get 36 points (meant I played to my handicap) with 2 blobs (no score holes) so that was OK!

A-ha! We wondered if it was a European thing - they were German and we saw quite a few other leggings-wearers, all of whom sounded European.

Stop now - really?! "Blob" is an official golf term? Love it! :rotfl:

002-2.jpg

There were 11 bags which all contain a Mickey straw, colouring book, magnets, magnetic board, crayons, Hannah Montana magnets and cardboard make your own hat. Then there were napkins, fortune cookies, balloons, photo album ($20) and various party games etc.

Also 11 of these

OMG! Was the DIS broken? :confused: We're still on the same page we were on when I posted at almost 3am last night! Wow!

Anyhoo

V: great pics :thumbsup2

CE: It rained here too, caused a power outage.

Jo: Glad it's sunny out!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So my throat felt weird last night and I took some drugs to make it go away. I woke up and it still wasn't so I have a feeling I'm about to get sick. :sad2: I hate these stupid colds and it always happens when I start working out. I'm gonna suck it up and go to the gym anyway.
TTYL! :hippie:
Aww Z - Hope you feel better:hug:
Jo that's awesome. Are those the bags we can order? I was going to get one for Jimmy at our lilo and Stitch Breakfast!
Glad you had fun!
OMG! I had mine out in high school. My dad told me I could either be awake or be put to sleep and that if they put me to sleep it would cost him more. I chose to be put to sleep.
One of our old family friends told me that when she had her nose job, she woke up while the doctor was still performing the surgery.
I would have freaked. She said she couldn't feel anything, but it was awful.
was that white legging wearing person English? That's the fashion here at the moment!
That means the fashion will eventually reach here, right?
I hate those colds, too. Try taking Airborne. If you take it early on, it really helps.
Hi!!! I'm so proud of myself. I went out and bought the Biggest Loser 30 day Jump Start book and the Biggest Loser Family Cookbook. I went walking and did the exercises they tell you to do on day one. I'm thinning out the junk in my pantry that I can't eat. :yay:
Things are moving along with the house. I wish I could get them to come out and do the inspection so I can pack up things. I want the hosue to look nice, not full of boxes. :cutie:
I read Krystal's update. Thanks, Krystal! :hug:
I'll try to keep in touch better this week now that I'm a little less stressed. :thumbsup2
Hello everyone!
Nothing new here. I'm trying to stay active and get out of the house more now that the weather is finally getting nice.
Jo- I love that package you got. I looked at the room decorations online to get for the kids when we go in June. They were expensive and didn't have anything I thought they would like. There was one with a big Mickey, but they already have one of those. I ended up buying them something off Disneyshopping. I got ds a personalized Pirates watch and I got dd a personalized Snow White jewelry box. I'm going to put out confetti and a welcome banner some time when they are away. I also booked them the pirate adventure that leaves from Yacht club.
Who all is going for Girl's weekend? It is Oct 17,18,19, right? I haven't booked my hotel yet. I am trying to decide between SSR, POR, POFQ. We got a huge tax refund (dh just changed his deductions at the accountants advice and we realized his company has been taking taxes out on him as if he was single- no wonder our refund was so big!) and dh wanted to book the Poly, but when I looked at rates, I felt it was too much for 1 weekend. If they offer AP rates, we might go with Poly.
OMG :scared1: I was awake for my C-section and that freaked me out!
Hi Dawn...we miss you:hug:
Hello everyone!
Hi Mary :wave2:
Nothing new here. I'm trying to stay active and get out of the house more now that the weather is finally getting nice.
Us too. After dinner we have been doing a lot of walking and just playing outside. Jimmy got new Roller Skates so he has been using them alot too!
I think it's the weekend before that Mary. Columbus Weekend. I know Josi and Mrsk is going. Not sure who else. T is now going on a cruise for her anniversary. I can't this year since we booked a couple of days at universal in August...that killed my girls weekend budget:sad2: I think V said she was going to try and go for the day:confused:
Is he hot? Too tired to push? :confused3
So when should we be over for the party? ;)
My turn to rant! :headache: My mother left my sis a message reminding her that today's the anniversary of my grandfather's death. My cousins usually send my g'mom flowers, but because my cousin just got out of the hospital, they probably wouldn't. So my sis and I might want to. (Meaning do it. It's not an option or we'll hear about it.) If it's so important to my mother that my g'mom gets flowers, why doesn't my mother send them? Wouldn't it be nicer if we sent flowers because we wanted to not because we were told to? Although we had a 40th anniversary party for my parents because my grandmother told us we should. I really think my g'mom could care less if she got flowers. My mother just wants to be able to tell her friends what great daughters she has. But I guess since my sis and I don't say anything to my mother, it's our own fault. :sad2:
Good Mother's Day gift? I know, I'm horrible. ;) Although I kind of like it in a creepy way.
