I think that is the worst feeling in the world.

I always thought I'd never get that hysterical. Keep calm, etc. It didn't happen!:sad2:

Goodness, I would have been freaking out. Thank goodness Jimmy listened to you about what to do. I love the fact that he had to see the badge before he would talk to the cop :thumbsup2.

I hope you have calmed down by now , that had to be so scary.

Thanks Tracey! I'm calm now that we have been home for a while. We are watching toy story 2 and just chilling out!

Jodi I know what you went thru' I hav it happen with DD and with DGD and you can't breathe you are soooo scared !! Thank goodness he did what you had told him and also did not talk to any strangers!!

Hi all. I'm too tired to quote everyone. It's been a BAD day.:sad2:

It started out really well. We picked up Jim's sister about 10:30 - 10:45 to got to Dave and Busters. We had a very nice lunch and then went and played the games. Everyone was having a ball. Jimmy won a bunch of tickets and got a bunch of stuff he doesn't need, but he had fun:thumbsup2. We are getting ready to leave and WE CAN'T FIND JIMMY. I became one of those hysterical mothers running all around looking for him, screaming his name, and can't find him. The staff was great. They locked the doors so no one got in or out. An off duty police officer found him sitting at the top of the stairs. He did exactly what we have told him, which is to stay put and we would find him, but my thoughts went 1700 different directions. I profusely thanked the off duty cop and the staff and got him the heck out of there. What we thinkied happened was he and I were walking together and I stopped to turn to stay something to Jim and he kept walking. He knew we had to go up the steps to leave and he realized I wasn't there he just stopped and waited. The off duty cop said a couple of people approaced him and asked if he was lost, but he wouldn't talk to any of them. He only talked to the cop after he showed him his badge:thumbsup2 I calmed down after 3 cigarettes and was able to drive home.
I'm glad he remembered what you said, Janet. I would have become panicked also!

Oh honey, that is the most horrible feeling. Thank goodness he is safe and smart! :thumbsup2

Those kind of stories really shake me up. Give him extra kisses tonight, Janet.

Lori- We have a shepherd mix and he's such a great dog. He's snuggly and loyal with me and playful with the kids. He never leaves my side. Good luck deciding!

My dog that I had put to sleep was a greyhound/shepard mix and she really was the sweetest dog. Plus, she was excellent with my kids and would let me know if they got into stuff. LOL She was my little shadow and I miss her terribly.

Lori we got a minature Shihz Zhu and he is adorable . He is th boss of our other dog a very large pit bull It is so funny to see them together Max attacs poor Snoop all the tim literally pull the food dish from under his nose and Snoop lets him ! Itoo thought little dogs were a pain but he isn't !!

Awwww...that's cute!

I truly haven't made up my mind but I really am leaning more towards bigger dogs. My babysitter has 3, maybe 4 (I have a hard time keeping track since she gets a new one every year), toy fox terriers. They are cute and my kids love to play with them but each time they come home from her house they say the same thing. 'We like the puppies mommy but are glad they didn't come home with us.' :rotfl:

We'll see though and I don't want to rush into it.

They are now forecasting 10 inches of snow for us by tomorrow night! What on earth is that all about???

I'm so sick of winter!

CE, are they predicting this for you later?

MEL:banana:

:scared1::scared1::scared1:

After church today we ate lunch at a friends house. I did some more yard work and came in to find my DH asleep on the couch!! No, its ok. He had a rough night sleeping - he has a sinus infection and didn't sleep well last night.
Holy Moley! Easter is in a week and I don't have anything for their baskets!! I am usually a planner but Dh being out of work adds so many unknown variables to the equation. Guess I will have to go shopping this week for everything. Hopefully there is enough left.:scared:

To those who are getting snow ~ hard to believe but i am somewhat jealous. Being from the south we only get snow once every 5 years and even then it only lasts a few hours. We hope to take the kids one year somewhere to see real snow.

Good Luck with the Easter shopping. And if we get snow I'll be sure to send it your way.

Severe weather heading through Ohio and Indiana....can we get a head count from the Fockers in that area?

MEL:banana:

I'm in OH but nothing here yet. I just looked on The Weather Channel and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. It looks like maybe by tomorrow into tomorrow evening we'll get some kind of snow. I'll have to watch the news at 11 to see what they say.

Hey Ladies!! :cool1:

Just stopping by to say hi! We have a beautiful day and I have been subbing my pants off so I haven't said "Hi" in a while.

 Hi Mrs.

Oh Janet! I would have been panicked as well.:hug::hug: to both you and Jimmy. Glad he listened to your instructions to stay put and not talk with strangers. What a smart kiddo!

Hi!

I skipped 5 pages from yesterday late afternoon to today - guess it's been busier here, huh?

Janet - saw via a quote about Jimmy. Glad it turned out so well - good for him!

Mel - did read your story, I'm glad you're home, and NO - I double checked, and we are NOT getting any snow in the 10 day forecast. I'm so sorry, hun. We are all good, which I'm appreciative of, but I feel bad for you.

Hi, everyone else! I read through late yesterday afternoon and see there was possibly a drunken Italian night ;) - ciao! -and I'm sorry I missed it. ;)

D & I watched catch-up TV shows late into the night last night, since he's going to be gone all this week again. Then I spent all today getting ready for the $*%#$ candle party. :rotfl:

It was actually quite a bit of fun. I ended up with over $300 worth of stuff for just under $70 out of pocket, so I can't complain, really. I will be able to fill my blank dining room wall, so that's good. :thumbsup2

Plus, I had lots of wine. :)

I have a regular thyroid test/physical tomorrow afternoon at 1:00, but that's about all I have planned, so I should be around some. D is leaving early and isn't back until Friday night, so I plan to be around and bugging y'all all week. :goodvibes

Miss you all - hope you had a good day today, and I'll "see" you tomorrow!

Time flies when you're busy! I can't believe it is 11:30 PM!
It has rained all day and it was supposed to snow. None yet. Probably tomorrow. Low of 31 deg. tonight.

MEL won't stay put. I guess that means she is feeling good except for a sore throat. Please don't do anything more serious to impress us silly.

Hooray #24!!!

SHARKY has 6 weeks of Lacrosse with the boys. Her DH graduates in 2 weeks.:cheer2:

V is coloring her hair and body.

T is bejeweled crazy. She was gonna grill something tonight.

JO has been gardening.

LORI wants another furbaby.

JODI loves Indiana weather. She is going to paint tomorrow.

DAWN has been Easter shopping and chillin' with "Bolt".

ROSIE stil b ames the ke board.

DEBRA didn't realise how close we were to Easter. Don't envy us Hoosiers at this time of year. Your DH would be in worse sinus misery right now.

MrsTK has missed us. She's been subbing. I hope that means teaching and not out under the sea.

CEL BEL's DFia won't be back until mid week. Now she can focus on domestic duties and the DIS.

JANET lost Jimmy and her mind for a few minutes. :scared1: Jimmy did great which is a testament to good parenting!

CE & D caught up on recorded TV. D will be gone until Friday.:sad1: Her !*&?# party actually turned out OK. Wine was involved in the final assessment, I think.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

:woohoo: I get a day off tomorrow. I am wiped out. I hope I can peel myself out of bed. Sounds like our weather tomorrow will be carpy too. It's hard to get motivated when it's grey outside. I hope all my plants survive. I think it is supposed to drop down into the 20's tomorrow night.

I work days on Tue and Wed. 8 hrs won't be too bad, if I can get some sleep during normal hours! I'll try to pop on here to chat. I may not have time for Focker news though.

Take care people!

Rockie and me at her Halloween party mid 80's.

Sounds like you had a really good time last night. Good Luck on getting your TV today! :thumbsup2 And what's this Posh Boutique you speak of? Sounds like a fun game. Like I need it. LOL

It's another of those stupid games. You show people to different stations in the store and pick clothes for them and have to earn a certain amount to pass the level. I am easily addicted to those types of games; Diner Dash, Doggie Dash, Roller Rush. I need a support group.

They are now forecasting 10 inches of snow for us by tomorrow night! What on earth is that all about???

I'm so sick of winter!

Holy Crow! I am thankful for wearing a light jacket. jeez. I'm glad you are feeling better too!

Yea it's 1:30am and I'm up again. KC has ben playing games till around 2 so I have stayed on the pc too. But sleep hasn't been so bad these days so I'm not complaining.

We did NOT buy the TV yet. We have to figure out the finances first, because KC was quick to get a PC Richards card and we got declined. I'm actually glad. We are sacrificing a lot to try and pay off what we have now, so adding another card is really a bad idea. Needless to say he wasn't so thrilled about it.

We went to Queens to see KCs friend from high school and his wife. They have 2 kids, 3 and a 2 months old so I got to play with a baby! I want one! She was so sweet. The 3 year old is a cutie too!!! We may be babysitting for them soon too. KC was surprisingly good with them too, I had never really seen that side of him.

Anyways I'm off to read some and crash out. Nighty Night!

Hi Kat!! Glad you had fun with the kids.

I just wanted to pop in and say it is indeed snowing here now. Nice wet slick, freezing yuk. I think Jodi will second me saying this is carp supreme.

:headache::mad:

Hi, Kat & Kristel! I could have actually joined you for vampire posting last night. I fell asleep OK when I went up, but had weird disruptive dreams and tossed and turned, and then when D's alarm went off at 3:00, I woke up too and didn't fall back to sleep until sometime after 5:15. I was finally, of course, sleeping well when the alarm went off at 6:45.

I think I'm supposed to be fasting for a cholesterol check at my doctor appointment, anyway (they mentioned asking the dr. if I needed to when I booked the appointment in January - but I never heard back - who knows?), so I'm getting the kids on the bus in the next ten minutes, then going back to bed until it's time to shower. That way, I won't mind not eating so much, and hopefully I can catch up on some sleep.

I do kind of wish I'd eaten dinner last night, though.

Maybe the weigh-in at the doctor won't be as bad as it could be, though. :rotfl2:

OK. Going to the bus and back to bed. I'll check in probably after the dr. at 1:00.

Have a good morning, all! :grouphug:

Wow, Mel must still not be up to par if I am first...or I am up and at work way to fricking early;)

Morning Mel - Hope your feeling better today:hug:

Oh honey, that is the most horrible feeling. Thank goodness he is safe and smart! :thumbsup2

Those kind of stories really shake me up. Give him extra kisses tonight, Janet.

Extra Hugs, kisses, and snuggles ::yes:::hug:

I'm glad he remembered what you said, Janet. I would have become panicked also!

Thanks Dawn:hug:

JANET lost Jimmy and her mind for a few minutes. :scared1: Jimmy did great which is a testament to good parenting!

Awww, thanks Kristel:hug:

:woohoo: I get a day off tomorrow.

Enjoy your day off:thumbsup2

OMG! Thank goodness he's a smart cookie and remembered what his Mama said!

Thanks Kat:hug:

:headache::mad:

I;m sorry:hug:

=========================================================

Morning everyone. Yes, I am at work already. It's amazing how fast I can get ready and out the door not having to get Jim and jimmy ready too!! I am much calmer than I was yesterday and that rock on my chest has lifted:thumbsup2

Not much planned here. Jim and Jimmy are taking my van in for inspection and oil change, then were going to have some daddy and Jimmy time. Tomorrow Jimmy has a therapist appointment and then they will go pick up their glasses. Wednesday Jimmy has a ear dr. appointment down in Deleware. Not really much of a vaction for them is it:rolleyes1

I'll check back in a little while everyone. HAve a good day!:goodvibes

 Janet, I'm so sorry you had to go through that, but yea for Jimmy for doing the right thing.

CE, free is my favourite price. :goodvibes Glad you had a profitable party.

Kat, I certainly understand the saving money plan. I don't like it. ;)

Mitch is off to NO this afternoon for a pharmacy convention. He told me he wasn't going, but apparently forgot to tell me he changed his mind. So he'll be gone until Wednesday. Maybe while he's gone, I can finally get the last few things organized from being gone.

Good morning everyone.

Janet~ How scary! There is no feeling like that in the world! Glad you found him safe and sound.

kids just hot on the bus so I need to leave for work but wanted to check in first. We have a high of 48 today but no snow. Next week is spring break!!

Have a great day everyone!

Oh Janet! What an awful experience! But, the good news is that you have a little boy that follows directions and takes what you say seriously. He knew just what to do :thumbsup2

I woke up this morning to the weather radio beeping at me...seems we're under a tornado warning until 1:00. Those are always fun. But things are slowing down for us with the end of the soccer season, so I'll be here doing laundry and tidying the house.

Have a great day :goodvibes

Morning. I'm still not sleeping too great! The stitches are uncomfortable. (I'm sure that's to be expected but I'm grumpy...) No temp though, and my throat is feeling much better.

We DID indeed get the storm! It's pretty out there, but I'd say we have at least 4 inches of snow. It's horribly windy too which is dangerous because the snow is the heavy, sticky wet kind and it's weighing the trees down. I need to check and see how much more we are going to get.

Bob's home for now. I'm not really sure what his plan is for today or tomorrow. He was supposed to go to PA/Upstate NY today for 3 or 4 days. He cancelled when I went in for the surgery but now I don't know if that means he'll be HOME or at the office? I told him he should be glad I had surgery because he'd have been driving 9 hours in a snowstorm!!! :scared1::scared1:

No plans for me. Just a shower. And I have to call the Dr. to set up my check up appointment. Oh, and did I mention that my mother is coming tomorrow??? Ugh. I know I should be happy but I'm just stressed because I can't do ANYTHING and I have company coming!

MEL:banana:

Hi all. I'm too tired to quote everyone. It's been a BAD day.:sad2:
OMG Janet, my heart's racing jsut reading this!:hug::hug: I've always told Leo to find a mommy if he loses me, but styaing put sounds like a much better plan; I'm going to start training him that way starting now! :thumbsup2

I woke up this morning to the weather radio beeping at me...seems we're under a tornado warning until 1:00. Those are always fun.
Ack - be careful.

 Hang in there Mel!

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Morning! I was really enjoying my weekend and Monday just stole all its thunder. Nothing wrong - I just don't want to be at work, lol!

But Leo comes home tonight, so that's something to which I'm very much looking forward. :goodvibes

Need to do some writing today and sifting through emails... I may just let my mind wander a bit and think about WDW. ;)
