jo-- only 2 times this week? how often do you golf on a normal week?? oh, i have a nondisney question for you. my husband needs a new set of golf clubs. in the past , he only golfed few times a year. (stay with me now, don't faint) but, he wants to go more often. now that he's out of school and the kids are older he has more time. but, what would be a good brand to buy? he really only wants to spend a couple hundred. 500 max. any suggestions??

I play about 3 times a week but lately it's been about 5 As for clubs I asked DH and he said it was hard to know what price clubs are there but he should probably be able to get a set by Mizuno, Taylor Made, Callaway, Titleist any of the good brands really. He did say though that for a bit more $ he could get a very good set

Well, we made it through last night without anyone getting lost, stolen or abandoned. And today...I have NOTHING to do!

Things are crazy 'round here. Waldo's not doing too well, so I've been chillaxin' with him, trying to keep his spirits up. We don't know when he'll have his next surgery, so we're kinda in limbo at this point. He had all the pre-op blood work done yesterday. He looks so sad and depressed - I can't believe how much this has aged him. He now looks 73.

I'm back from the library to hang out at home with Gus. He's still under the weather. I made a 3 pm appt. with the ped. for him.

D just headed off for the office. I do want to go to Target later, but my Kindle is probably arriving today (we had e-mails from amazon.com, saying they'd be here today or Monday at the latest, but with no tracking info ) and one of last year's reviewers said she had to be home to sign for it. UPS doesn't come here until about 4:30, but FedEx is usually late morning. I am going to wait until about noon, then, and if FedEx hasn't come, I'll be OK until late afternoon.

I wasn't able to watch my Illini get upset last night, but that might not be a bad thing. My bracket is carp now, though.

OK... I do need to send off the guest list for that *$@& candle party, so I'm going to go do that. Be back later!

Hey stranger, nice to see u!

kat-- i know i said this before, but have you ever tried taking something at night to help you sleep? sometimes if i work 3 nights in a row, then have a long stretch off, i will take some nyquil around 9-10pm, so i can sleep through the night and get on a normal schedule. i understand how you feel. my schedule gets all screwy working nights. then i'll stay up late on my nights off and be tired all day. it really makes you feel like crap.

well, we're leaving when the kids get home from school for our ski weekend. now i'm all freaked out after what happened to natasha richardson. i know it's rare, but still scary! i should take my video camera. bet i could capture something that would win me $10, 000 on afv!! wish me luck!

I used to take Tylenol PM on occasion but it gave me nightmares. Most meds just freak me out, my system hates meds. The only thing I really ever take is advil. Slowly but surely the sleep is getting better, I probably just need some therapy and then i'd sleep like a baby, huh?

There was some sleep last night! I was up until about 7am from 2am but I slept till 11:30am and to me, it's a victory!

I'm hoping that cleaning all day will tire me out so I get some sleep.

Slowly but surely the scratchy throat is getting better tho, thank goodness.

Why did it snow today in NYC when it's the first day of spring? I am not thrilled.

OMG! I forgot how fast this thread moves!

So a little about myself: Im sam (samantha if you didnt figure it out) and Im a college student at university california Davis. My Major is wildlife conservation and Im Pre-Vet. Im engaged and my fiance is a full time firefighter. He works 24 hours on, then 96 off. No he doesnt paint houses Because of his work schedule and having to commute I end up with a lot of lonely time around the house. Mostly locked in my room for sanity reasons because my two other roommates are annoying dirty guys.

I just finished my College Program at WDW in january. I worked at Animal kindgom, feel free to ask me and questions. Now Im going through disney withdrawls!

I have a semi-busy day cleaning! DR's birthday party is this weekend and the computer room and toy room need a deep clean. I've been trying to get to them all week but was sick Sat-Tues, Wed was gorgeous out and I didn't feel like doing them since I actually felt better and just wanted to be outside in the sun and yesterday I was busy running around grocery shopping and playing outside with the kiddos. So, with no car and the kids in school I have the time to get it done today.

I'm in the process of car shopping though. Not for new, but used. I'm trying to narrow it down on Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Escape or VW Beetle.

The kids father will be in town this weekend for DR's birthday. He gets them tomorrow and will have them pretty much all weekend. He'll drop them off for a couple of hours for DR's party on Sunday and then they'll go back with him until after school Monday. I need to get clothes washed and packed today. I plan on enjoying my quiet weekend by sleeping in and getting things ready for the party.

Glad you're back!Keep gas mileage in mind. Even if you live close to stuff, you don't want to spend $60-$80 filling a large tank every week. I'm sure we'll see and increase in the price again. Shiesters! Tell DR Happy Birthday! Good luck with the cleaning and enjoy your quiet weekend!

Tue. 29th - DHS and 50's PTC for lunch.

Wed. 30th - MK and Tutto Italia for dinner @ WS.

Thurs. 1st - AKL and Tusker House for breakfast. Le Cellier for dinner.

Fri. 2nd - Rockie's b-day, her choice. Kona for supper.

Sat. 3rd - Departure day. May revisit DTD or Boardwalk if there is time. OOP for any meals.

Vrazy day here today. GOt into work and then left again to drive over to Jersey to pick up ballistics vests we had ordered. Just back from there and stillhaven't had lunch, so I think I may sneak out early. Not much planned for the weekend, which I am kind glad about.

Hi Sam! I'm David. One of the few guys who visits this thread on a semi-regular basis. I'm dad to three kids. My wife Jenny makes guest appearances now and again, but she's been on a bit of DIS break.

Things are crazy 'round here. Waldo's not doing too well, so I've been chillaxin' with him, trying to keep his spirits up. We don't know when he'll have his next surgery, so we're kinda in limbo at this point. He had all the pre-op blood work done yesterday. He looks so sad and depressed - I can't believe how much this has aged him. He now looks 73.

We could use some Pixie dust, if you've some to spare.

There was some sleep last night! I was up until about 7am from 2am but I slept till 11:30am and to me, it's a victory!

Sounds all too familiar, and we do drive down. We also get "Are we there yet? How long until we get there?" about every five minutes. I think the kids decide ahead of time the rotation as to who will ask which question and in what order they will ask. :

ugg! I have a sick child; vomit and temp of 102. Dr said neg for flu, probably just has the croup. What the heck does that mean? He doesn't even have a cough; how can it be the croup without a cough?

Oh no! DD11 is still home with her tummy issues. We took her to the doctor yesterday, and she pretty much said there's not much we could do other than to let her rest it out.

I just finished my College Program at WDW in january. I worked at Animal kindgom, feel free to ask me and questions. Now Im going through disney withdrawls!

It's been over a year since I've been down to WDW, and I'm experiencing serious withdrawal.

V- I thought I hit the quote button, but apparently not. Sounds like Leo's class had a great experience with poetry. I may need to suggest something similar in my DDs' class when they do their poetry unit.

Well. I'm home with DD11 again today. She wasn't feeling well enough for me to feel comfortable heading over to the office. She slept pretty much all morning. I think that helped as she had a plain bagel for lunch with no apparent ill effects. She's been feeling worse after eating anything the last day or so.

I've been pretty unsuccessfully working from home. Too little motivation for the real work, and too many distraction opportunities at the home. I was able to get my work out in this morning, which is a bonus on the healthy living side, but I expect that I'll be feeling the resultant aches and pains over the weekend.

We got our DVC recorded deeds in the mail this week. So, it feels a bit more real. We really cannot wait for the trip in July. We've begun to do some tentative planning. It's hard without having the park hours information released yet. We've already decided we're going to probably do a day trip over to Tampa in the middle for visits with folks on that coast.

I'm going over to peek in on DD11 and see how she's doing. I'll try to pop back over here later this afternoon. I'll be out tonight as DD9's class will be leading services at synagogue, and Jenny will take over with DD11. I'm thinking DS6 will probably hang at home as the service will go past his bedtime.

I started the day at a Poetry Cafe held by Leo's class. It was fun! The kids all took turns reading the poems they'd written - they really were very good! And Leo was beyond thrilled to have me there. With work, I don't often get to attend school things like that, so it was extra special for us both.

So a little about myself: Im sam (samantha if you didnt figure it out) and Im a college student at university california Davis. My Major is wildlife conservation and Im Pre-Vet. Im engaged and my fiance is a full time firefighter. He works 24 hours on, then 96 off. No he doesnt paint houses. Because of his work schedule and having to commute I end up with a lot of lonely time around the house. Mostly locked in my room for sanity reasons because my two other roommates are annoying dirty guys.

My BFF, Dr. Belle, did the College Program either in 1992 or 1993. She loved it, even though she more or less just sold the big turkey legs in MGM.

No your not because I really like to car shop as well. I have some of my favs picked out but we'll see what happens. I may get something now or I may wait a little bit longer and save up some more. We'll see what happens.

Actually, that should be perfect. Dr. Belle was an advertising major, but most of the kids down there were business/marketing. Except, I suppose, the performers, but she seemed to be with the retail/restaurant crowd.
