I hear you about fun. It's just that at our 20th HS reunion, it was still very clicky. And I still live close to the old digs. And there are a lot of people I wouldn't mind chatting with, but I don't want to invite them to dinner. If they really wanted to talk to me they could pick up the phone. If they wanted to be a part of my life, they would have shown up for my DDad's funeral. YKWIM.

Update time!

T has to sell cookies for breakfast. She had a date with a tub of icecream.

Dawn has been dealing with a shoeless wee tyrant.

Angie is all checked in for her cruise. She posted pics from the game, pg. 50, post 700.

CE is sick of snow. She's going to have a candle party in April. Bring wine.

Lessa needs someone who specializes in exorcism of toilet spirits. Or at the very least a call from the city when they are messin' with the pipes.

JV's computer is up and running again. She needs help with DHS tour plan. She also wants to be invisible to some FB friends, kinda. She got lots of help from Dawn, G-luv and Carrie. I guess they've had lots of practice with defriending people.

Kat is getting things ready to move next month, they hope. She chilled with the purr-baby the other day. Last night she felt - Meh!

Jo's girls like to hit stuff into trees, just like momma. She played golf - again. This time they could only use 5 clubs and she couldn't get out of the sand without a wedgy. Something like that.

Mo says 'Hi!' How ya' doin' Mo??!!

Katt got shot.........with cortizone. Other than that she has nothing going on. Hope the shot helped.

Rosie loves smileys. She had a 'puky' day with Kyle yesterday. Poor guy. She didn't feel too good today but is excited about the May meet. Her B-day is Friday.

Tig celebrated heroes and villains and drinking the other day. He doesn't keep enough wieners on hand. Some little villains showed up on DD11's head. Also the family phone needs have changed - Family plan baby!

Janet is crazy busy at work. Jimmy has a class trip with Jim as chaperon.

Jodi is busy with scouts and a sick kid.

Mel will take rain over snow any day. Bob was in Ohio all day.

Z is in Puerto Rico. The stinker left us a cliffhanger - Trip to WDW may be back on!

V has been gloating about the gorgeous Fla. weather. She doesn't share the same view of her office atmosphere though. D23 costs $75. I'll stick with the DIS - it's free.

So here's the bad news:
I gave and am giving the government a lot of dough for this last year. Should a death in the family entitle them to rape you? I guess so. I ended up owing the Feds $5500 more and the state $2500 more. If you want to keep track, that means that Doug and I paid over $40,000 in taxes for 2008. Cool huh? I wish I knew it was going to pay for more than gold toilets or some other trivial junk.

H&R charged me $295 for their services. It was worth it. I was out of my league on this one. She actually reduced my penalties too. On the bright side, I've never had to pay at tax time in my life. I hope I will never have to again. Well there is still Doug's mom. The way she is going, she'll out live me.

We went to see 'Watchmen' on Saturday. It was interesting but not as great as I thought it would be. I agree with Kat - It was long. I hate getting up to pee during a movie. I had to on this one.

I'm working until Friday morning. Catch you tomorrow, same DIS channel, same DIS time!

I've got a big lot of nothing planned, except starting to clean up the house for Dr. Belle's visit. If I start too early, it just gets messed up again, but she comes in Friday night. I figure if I get the guest room done, it will stay clean. The "front" room (my so-called formal living room, which we never use, and isn't formal - right now there's a big car racetrack in the middle of the floor ) can also be decluttered, though I'll have to wait to vacuum, because my dog acts like a cat and lies around in the sun in there. Bathrooms will have to wait... Kitchen can be decluttered but will get messy again... The dining room can be unpiled with papers, though I doubt we'll even use it while she's here. Family room will have to wait, as it's also the playroom. So, I'll be really busy cleaning on Friday, but that works out fine.

She comes in after dinner, so I will have time. She's not a neat person, either (again, we're clean, it's just that we don't mind clutter - she and I lived together for years), it is just that I hate to have people in without making an effort.

D is heading T's way this evening, via Chicago, but he has a safety meeting at 11:00, a pilot meeting at 1:00, then flies out at 4:30. So, he's here for a couple more hours, but will be gone all day today and tomorrow until after the kids' bedtime.

I'm going to go make coffee - I'll be back later! I clean in waves - do a task, get on the computer for a few minutes, clean for a few more, etc.

Good Morning!!!

Well, both girls are better today, so they're off to school. DD7 had math club this morning at 8am, so I've already dropped her off. I'll be taking DD5 to preschool in a few. Then, I've got my last Bible Study meeting of the year. We're having brunch, so I've got a Baked Oatmeal recipe in the oven right now. Yummy!

I'll probably be going to the gym after I pick DD5 up from school, but I'll be back on this afternoon! Hope everyone has a great day!

I'll update the Family Room situation below.....

So here's the bad news:
I gave and am giving the government a lot of dough for this last year. Should a death in the family entitle them to rape you? I guess so. I ended up owing the Feds $5500 more and the state $2500 more. If you want to keep track, that means that Doug and I paid over $40,000 in taxes for 2008.

It does not seem to matter how you go through THAT PROCESS... you still get BIT.
Before my Dad died he Deeded the Property to me... stating that they would live on the property till they died.. So no Inheritance Taxes or anything like that...
But.. I still had other taxes.. Then I HAD to Sell.. so more taxes... IN my case I might have been better just inheriting it... But we had Terry to think of( my brother with Autism) half would have been his and he can not hold any valuables or property.. so I would have had a Court battle there.

Well... most of my body is PAIN FREE ​

HOWEVER.... The Dr. gave me a HUGE dose of Cortisone... and the needle is a MEGA GUAGE...SO I can not use that arm for a couple of days. It's Sore.. more than regular, I can not raise my arm, or stretch it out very well. Could not sleep on it either. BUT I did sleep some better last night.

Sarabeth had a program where the 4th and 5th grade did a concert together... I WAS A FIASCO... the Teacher was not prepared... and it showed in the kids. True there were a couple of snow days, and some state Testing.. but he should have started earlier.. the WORSE presentation I have ever seen and I have been looking at them for 8 years straight. It's his first year as Music teacher but he has done other subjects... Maybe I should have applied for the job, But kids are so disrespectful today, and I can not stand the Principal so it would NOT have worked.

Family Room Update... I was going to draw up some diagrams and figure out where I wanted things placed... Scott did not wait... nor did he finish the Job. He Turned the couch around.. which is a HUGE SECTIONAL... and I believe he means to put the TV up today or this weekend. I can not paint for a few days... wanted to redo the entire room... and I thought Scott knew that... since we were refinancing the house... and getting some equity, Scott wants to wait till November
Uh Hello, Holidays, bad weather, All the contents of the family room will have to sit outside till the floor is done.. I'm at the mercy of a warm streak, and no rain .
I'll post a couple of pictures of the family room and show you WHAT this is going to be a major PAIN...

Morning. I'm starting this lovely Wed. fighting off a massive migraine. I'm teetering on the edge of insane pain... not quite there, but it could go over the ledge at any time. Yes, I'm at work - just dosed with my Miracle Combo of a Sudafed, 2 ibuprofen and a little Pepsi... here's hoping it does the trick.

T-minus 48ish hours till Doomsday and still NOTHING. Did I mention that the Big Boss took the week off?!?! And took the budget with him; he's working on it by himself with no input and no communication. Last I heard, he'll "try to let upper management know before the weekend." If that doesn't happen, I expect to hear about it in Saturday's paper.

I should write a freaking book.

On second thought, who's going to WDW soon?! I need an escape, lol!

Kids are off to school! Ben went looking for the Wii remote this morning and up ended all my folded clothes in the living room!

I'm staying up way to late! in bed around 1:30. just watching TV, not sleepy, but now I'm really tired' this is almost everyday.ugggg,,gotta change my schedule somehow' gonna go cuddle with Cosmo. (the real one)

Nope .....New School ...4 or 5 other Elementary Schools Merge therehopefully the Bullies will get bullied and Sarabeth will be friends with a whole bunch of new kids and have her first Boyfriend.

Yeah, I got a reply to my e-mail.. basically THEY.. ( being upper school administration) are not going to do anything... Talk to the teachers and tell them what is going on... HEllo... done that already... they are not going to notice anything... 55 school days left in the school year.. so we are just counting down the hours till I "Moon the School"

hi everyone.............. i've been working a lot, but now i'm off for couple days. i literally slept all day yesterday and all night last night. i think i was awake for a total of 3 hours. mike took the kids to the park in the evening and i went back to bed and slept all night. i feel better. i think i needed it. i picked up sat and sun shifts for double time. i'm exhausted , but my paycheck will be good!

i've already cleaned/scrubbed the kitchen, so i'm taking a break then will tackle the rest of the house.



so............. it 's been a rough few weeks. i haven't said anything, but background info............ my husband is a very anxious person. not panic attacks, but just worry, worry, worry. he constantly thinks about the future, plans. what if's ............. well, he has been on lexapro and it helped tremendously. when we moved, he felt like he could quit taking it bc most of the stress was about finding the right job after law school.. well, he's been driving me crazy the last few weeks. it's like he worries so much and his mind races that he can't enjoy the present time. well, he finally went back on his medicine and is started to feel much better this week. now he sees how irrational he was being/thinking. i finally have my husband back!


i told him to never go off the medicine again. he obviously needs it! i told him, i would shove the medicine down his throat if he ever tries to stop taking it again.!!!

seriously, i felt bed for him when he wasn't taking it. poor man. i can't imagine everyday constantly thinking/worrying about everything under the sun!

now, we can take our mini-vacay and really relax!
