Not much going on with me today Jen. I am at work and it is slow so I'm working on a TR update and then afterwards I am hitting up the mall. I need to replenish my sock supply as flip flop season is almost over and I am going to have to start wearing real shoes. :guilty: :rolleyes:

I wanted to post a pic of my little Steeler fans. I've taken a pic of them every year on first game day and it's so neat to see how they have grown. I should see if I have them in photobucket. But, here's todays...
So cute :goodvibes

Kristel (lazydoxy) text Scottny. She wanted him to tell me to let the Fockers to know that they got to Port Orleans Riverside and got a room in the AB Section with a pool view.
:thumbsup2

I can help you with GF and BC ?'s JO!
I had already planned on asking your opinion :rotfl2:

she was chubby and bald and everyone said "wow--he's gonna be a heckova football player!" :lmao:
Poor Ab :rotfl2:

Jo- Nice avatar! :lmao: ;)
Then Rosie never used it :rotfl:

Rafael Nadal lost in the US Open so I won't get to see this tomorrow. :sad2:
Yeah but a Brit is in the final, woooohoooo :yay:

I am now spending the evening loading pictures onto photobucket. It is so hard deciding which pictures to not post in the report! That is the one problema with taking so many pictures. ;)
:rotfl2:

:sad2: I think it hit me as the classic "no one appreciates how much I do" kind of comment. I started listing, in a quiet but firm voice, all the other stuff I do: cooking, laundry, cleaning, baths, shopping, etc. and my voice got shakier and shakier and I started to cry. :guilty:
They never do realise what we do, he needed to know :hug:

Here a couple of pictures

In front of the school
Wow I didn't realise uniforms came so casual, it was the socks that shocked me, very smart though!

Well you'll all be pleased to know ;) that I played golf today :rotfl2: David and I played and I beat him :yay: I'm playing again tomorrow, it's meant to rain though, in a pairs competition with a lady called Hilda, lets just say she's slightly older than me :lmao:

I was just thinking the same thing this morning. I need to go sock shopping for both me and the kids.

That you! :)

:cheer2: on beating David! And Good Luck tomorrow!

And baked ziti sounds really good! Lindsey's b-day is New Year's Eve and I was thinking about starting to plan things out for it now and was wanting to make ziti for it. Mind sharing the recipie?

It's so easy.

Ziti:

1 pound ground beef or turkey
1 box ziti noodles
1 jar tomato sauce (your choice)
1 container ricotta (part skim)
mozzarella (depends on how cheesy you like your noodles, I use a 1 pound package...no this is not low fat)
1/2 package cream cheese (softened)

Boil off the ziti noodles. While you're doing that, brown off you meat. Season it well with garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, and pepper. After the meat is done browning, mix the meat, sauce, ricotta, and cream cheese together in a 13x9 pan until it's well mixed. Add noodles. Mix well. Top with as much mozzarella as looks good to you. Bake at 375 until bubbly and browned.

And I think Burbank is close to Disneyland. I believe it's actually closer to it than LAX is, but it might be another one (John Wayne comes to mind) that's close as well. :confused3 Where's T when you need her?

Thanks!!!

First, what kind of race is this because it actually sounds really cool. Is it a relaity like show?

We were driving back with all of the Nascar semis. The ones that transport the driver's cars and their chase vehicles. It was sooooo neat!

GIRL POWER!!!!

Good morning everyone!

Linds is already in school and DR goes at noon. I've already gotten my kitchen cleaned and laundry done. I still need to clean this mess of a computer room up. I swear as soon as it's cleaned the kids drag all their toys in here and play because they now have more clean floor space to play on. Dives me nuts!!!

I had the worst headache last night and went to bed early. :sick: Linds didn't sleep very well either because it seemed like she was up just about every 2 hours from dreaming. The kids sleep in bunk beds and she's on the top bunk but it scares me at times because she's my little sleep walker. I might have to switch the kids around here shortly.

Well, that's it for me! Hope you all have a good day! :)

Thanks on the recipie. Sounds easy and very good. That settles it...I'm doing Italian for her birthday. I usually switch off each year with the two kids and either order out for one and make something home made for the other. It looks like this year Lindsey will be getting the home made meal and DR's party will be getting pizza. LOL

And thanks for the explanation of the race. :thumbsup2 As you can see not NASCAR fans here...but that would be cool to see.

Looky who's back! But, now I have to teach a bit and get the girls settled in their lesson before I can really chat.
:rolleyes: :teacher:

Hi Z! That Yani- smart, beautiful and she gives pep talks! Sheesh! (Now if she could just train her dog not to Poopoo in the tub...LOL) Hope you don't get any bad weather, you guys have just had the worst luck this summer!
You should move to Michigan. Come on! Give up the sunshine for 9 months of snow!!!! It's so fun.

I'm lying....:lmao:

JO: Are you playing against Hilda? Kick Hilda's butt! :rotfl2: Hope that your game goes well. Did you report the boiler guy?

G-luv: I am trying to plan a trip to Anahiem with Bob. He's going the week of Oct. 20th....can't make a plan AT ALL yet though because of SD. Poor kid. That was cool about the race vehicles, and Jon must have been thrilled yesterday. His guy won! Poor Kevin, he led for about 80 laps and then PFFFTTTTT. I think he finished 8th or something.....sheesh. Oh, and thanks for the recipe. Making it for the inlaws this week! Good luck with Jon's appt.

Janet: Jimmy is ADORABLE with a capital A! Cute backpack too!

Lessa: Shoe wearing. Blech. :scared: I hate the smiley limit too. Why only 25? That's so weird. :mad:

V: Like I told CE, it won't hurt them to understand that we have feelings and needs too! (Like the need to get to work on time!!!) Sometimes you gotta LAY IT ON THE LINE for them. Cute or not! :sad2:

-------------
Where in the Heck has Katt been? She's AWOL. :confused:

Today, SD had a 1/2 pill again. Talked to his DR. She said to give it to him if he needs it. That its way more important to make it through the day than worry about what a 1/4 dose a day is doing to him....

Talked with the Social worker and the guidance counsellor at his school. They are all so great there!

My HORRIBLE inlaws will be here Wed. ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH. I'm sure I'll have a breakdown between them, Bob being gone and SD's issues. OMG. :scared: Does anyone want me to come visit them for a week or so? I'm thinking of running away from home.

MEL:banana:

Yup. Jon was so stoked yesterday about the race. And those dang Dallas Cowgirls won too! So, he was in hog heaven just about all day long.

MEL:banana:

SURE!!! Come on over!

Maybe you could hold off for a few weeks though. Balloon Fiesta is coming up here in NM...and I could take you to see some beautiful relaxing sights!!! ;)

I'm glad SD seems to be doing okay, and that he is self-regulating! That's great for him. He is taking ownership of his own life...and how FANTASTIC is that!!!

As for the in-laws...

A wise Focker once told me...

Hi Dawn!

JO: Are you playing against Hilda? Kick Hilda's butt! :rotfl2: Hope that your game goes well. Did you report the boiler guy?
No Hilda is my partner, we take alternate shots and no I haven't written the letter yet!

Where in the Heck has Katt been? She's AWOL. :confused:
I asked that yesterday, I've seen her around just not here :sad1:

You can come here Mel :rotfl2:

I've got a Sunday School planning meeting later, the topic for the next 3 sessions is Sermon on the mount, we teach 3-7 y/o's i's so hard :eek:

I've never heard of ziti noodles, is it like spaghetti?

No. But, I don't know what they would be called over there. Short, round, hollow noodles. :confused3 Hole in the middle? :confused3

Here's a link to some right HERE!

Thanks Jen. Ah, balloons sound very relaxing.

I think I recall that WISE FOCKER? She was short, round and sort of blind, right? :lmao:

The link to the Ziti noodles had me rolling.

MEL

Mel- you can come here. :hug:
Maybe mommy might need a valium while the ILs are there! :lmao: Share with mommy, SD!

Jen2- Who you calling Dallas Cowgirls?! :mad: You need to step off, Ms. Thang!

I'm kidding. We don't really watch football much even though I like it fine. Now that I read that Brady hurt himself and the Cowboys are the ones to beat, I should watch this season. Not to mention it's so much cooler on the new t.v. and surround sound! :happytv:

Jo- Hi! Did you just whip up some noodles?! :rotfl:

The ziti might be a good idea for the dinner I'm hosting here on Saturday for K's dad's Bday. It sounds so yummy! :lovestruc

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This weekend was so busy... the girls had a dance clinic on Saturday morning. It's normally so fun b/c the girls get to dance at half-time at the next game. But since B and her friend are 6th graders this year, they don't. :headache: They just learned dance skills. uh, hello, she's in 6 hours of dance a week, she's got skillz. We want to see her on the field! :mad: I don't think I'll do it next year for B. :snooty:
A had his first baseball game right after I picked the girls up. It was so hot! I got a little burn on my face and arms in that one hour. The girls kept getting wet paper towels and wiping their faces with them. In the last inning A was the faux-pitcher (It's coach pitch.) and he kept watching the ball roll by because he was so exhasuted from the heat. :rolleyes: Poor guy!
B had a sleepover on Saturday night too, so that was fun.
Sunday we got ready to go to church and my NEW car wouldn't start! I was so annoyed. I ended up taking just the kids to church with me since we couldn't all 6 fit in K's truck. Later we tried jumping the battery and it seems fine now. Thank goodness. We do have a warrenty, but it would have been annoying to deal with all of that while I was trying to do school. :mad:
So, what did everyone else do? popcorn::
Hugs to CE, , Lessa, Rosie and Janet. :hug:
Thanks!
I miss everyone, but I can't post much on the weekends. K's here and it looks like all I do is get on the computer as it is with all the schoolwork and planning on the 'puter.
That's why you never see much of me when D's around - and I can't even pretend I'm doing anything but DISing! ;)
Good morning!
Good morning!
CE - I just had to lay my parental duties out to Leo this morning. He made me late for work AGAIN because he jsut doesn't seem to give a hoot about being reayd to leave on time. I may or may not have launched into a lengthy tirade about just what my job pays for and told him from now on he'd be feeling teh consequences of my being late as much as I do.
Oh, V. I hear you. :hug:
Good morning, girls!
Right when I thought I could chat, I have to run B to get a bracket that came loose removed. So, I'll be back soon! Don't have too much fun without me.
Oops! But I see you're back!
Thanks, Z!
Well, today was Jimmy's first day of school and after a 20 minute crying jag about how he didn't want to go he got dressed had breakfast and off we went. We got there a couple of minutes early and by the time we left to come home he told me he wasn't nervous anymore and he liked school. We'll see how long this lasts
Woohoo, and how cute! :goodvibes
CE, Mitch says the same thing to me at times and you're right :headache:. :hug:
Ugh. I think that would tick me off even more! :hug:
I did watch the match. Although the one between Serena and J. Jankovic was pretty good!
It was - I wound up staying up after all!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Safe, happy, and healthy!
::yes:: Can't ask for more than that.
Not much going on with me today Jen. I am at work and it is slow so I'm working on a TR update and then afterwards I am hitting up the mall. I need to replenish my sock supply as flip flop season is almost over and I am going to have to start wearing real shoes.
Shoes? Yuck. ;)
They never do realise what we do, he needed to know :hug:
Thanks, Jo!
WOOHOO!!! Hilda just sounds scary - what is it about those kinds of names? :rotfl2:
I would live my life barefoot if I could!!!
Me, too!
Sure, I have a nice guest room. :thumbsup2
Well...
I have done not a darn thing all day. I kind of intended to go to the gym, but didn't and now I don't want to because I've eaten and stuff. :rolleyes:
I suppose it was good, though, because the Terminix guy showed up. I like for him to check the basement and stuff, but I never know when he's coming. :headache: He himself is very nice, but the schedulers leave something to be desired.
I haven't heard anything yet about my tennis team deal (Angela, it's through the USTA that kept advertising during the open.) I think I am signed up to volunteer at the school for an hour on Fridays, so my schedule is starting to get more defined. :thumbsup2
Anyway, that's all I have for now, too! I'm sure I'll be back! I may update my TR again, too.
Hello all...Happy Monday!
I love the day I get the peace and quiet of the house back when KC goes to work. Ahhhhhh. Husband working from home in a studio apartment - not so much fun.
I am house bound today waiting for KCs UPS package with his returned replacement surround sound headphones. Fun fun fun. I may bake, I have had a hankering for oatmeal cookies.
So soon we are onto part 6 huh? Man alive we talk alot!
Hope everyone's having a great day, I'll be in and out today. And yes working on a TR update-u all have made me look bad with the quickness updates!
