You want more than an extension lead and a bucket?!?!?? Sheeesh :rotfl2:

How about a hose, so we can at least have some running water:rolleyes:

I'm so sorry Janet, do you know any more now? Hope he's OK :hug:

See below:goodvibes

Oh Janet! I hope it's nothing serious. :hug:

THanks T:goodvibes

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Dad update: Just spoke to mom. He is in a room and comfortable. Not as in as much pain as yesterday. Cardioligist has been in to see him and has ordered some tests. He must be feeling better becasue he threw my mother out of the hospital and told her to go to work.

Mom said he is more concerned about getting better becasue we will be coming down soon.:sad2:

:sad: Sorry Ladies... Misery LOVES COMPANY.. I have been crying all week. And today.. :sad: :sad: :sad:

Just hate crying alone..

Wish Mom was here to see her.

Katt...:hug: :hug: :hug:

:goodvibes That's what I was typing out right when you posted! Great minds!!!

Uh... I was going to say we can bathe together, but that's just weird sounding... So, uh, have fun. :confused3 Maybe I'll wait until later now. :rolleyes:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Whoa. Woweewowwow! :rotfl:

What's everyone reading now?

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. :sad:

We're kind of in limbo today. I wanted to pick up B from her sleepover and go to Austin to visit mom, but they haven't had a room in intermediate care to move her to. The kids want to visit, but no kids are allowed in ICU. It's so frustrating. There's also no phone in ICU, so I can't call her and see how she's doing without feeling like I'm bugging her. Her poor friends aren't allowed any information since they aren't family so they started worrying about why she was still in ICU and started calling me. I know they'd like to visit her too, but that's not allowed. I hate to think she's lonely, but she knows I want to come, but can't until she moves. :guilty:

Kate- Do you have any fun plans for your birthday? :cutie: [/COLOR]

:hug: Hope she's doing well honey.

Jen---yes, u should get a script for the Xopenex inhaler--it's more expensive than Albuterol but so much better--no jitters.:thumbsup2

Prednisone messes with eveyone---I ate 2 orders of fried mushrooms last time and got really sick...........I have never eaten them before or after but I craved them terribly!:sad2:

Every time Jon's in the hospital...he receives Xopenex. No shakes...no racing heart. Our insurance...BCBS...picks and chooses though...so we'll see.

Yea...Jon's still having roid rage. He's hyper emotional. It happens every time. I expect it. And I TRY to remember that he is drugged beyond belief. But, I still want to choke him sometimes. Today...so far...he is "never going to have friends" and is "never going to be anything but bored because he'll have no friends." We've had crying...whining...and momma is going to have to banish herself to her room with a margarita before noon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I woke up bright and early this AM to cart myself off to the walk-in clinic. And I have....
STREP THROAT???
Where I got that I have no idea. The doc said Jon's throat was very red (the other day)...but attributed it to his drainage and cough. :confused3
But, I can't bring illness into the house so I have to get treated too. So, I"m on antibiotics. No wonder I feel so bad. Not a real fever...just headache and body aches and a swolen throat. They strepped me though and it came back positive. :confused3
Whatever. Jon's on antibiotic and so am I. Don't come near me people...I'm a carrier. ;)
Janet: Hugs for you and Dad!
G-luv: No kissing for a week! ewwww.... strep!
Get well honey!
Went to the farmer's market this morning. Got some yummo veggies. I am making some homemade salsa in a few. Hope you guys are doing well.
Well, was it as good for you as it was for me? :rotfl2:
Actually, mine didn't go well - my bath's stopper wouldn't work :confused: so I had to come downstairs. It's not awful, but it's not MINE, ya know?
Flat Rosie has been travelling, she went back to her Birth County of Suffolk :thumbsup2
Awww, looks like fun!
I am cleaning today - BLECH!
Me, too. I should have probably done more yesterday. I am down to counters, though - just mopped. :thumbsup2
Janet said:
Good Morning all. I got a phone call from my mom last night. My dad is back in the hospital. No idea what is going on, but if I could get some Focker prayers it would be greatly appreciated. All I know is he went in with chest pains. I hate being so far away:headache:
:hug:
#3 son decided I needed to be up before 7 this morning. :eek: So much for sleeping in.
Oh, no, and on your birthday, too?
Happy Birthday, Kate!!!
Ab came home and said "I'm not getting married for a L-O-N-G time! Fine by me. She said the wedding was pretty but they were way too young. He dropped outta HS, she just graduated and is gonna try a local college. Hope it works out for them. My mom got married at 18, had me at 19, and divorced at 20.........
Scary. But I will say that my grandparents got married when she was 18 and he was 20, and they're at year 64 (married, not age). So I guess it CAN work sometimes. :confused3
I hate to think she's lonely, but she knows I want to come, but can't until she moves. :guilty:
:hug:
They asked if I could still work on Fridays and I said yes. I now have a new job when school starts. Yay I am so excited.
That's great!!!
I would love to live in CA again except it would be REALLY far away from everybody I know. :sad2:
Except T... :rolleyes1 ;)
Mom said he is more concerned about getting better becasue we will be coming down soon.:sad2:
Well, I went out and got stuff to grill (and booze) and have hoovered ;) and mopped the tile floors. I guess I should do the hardwood, too. Doh. :headache:
But then I just need to quickly wipe the morning crumbs off the island and swipe the bathroom sinks again, and I should be set. Oh, and I should shower. :rolleyes1
And I hope they don't show up until they said they would. :rotfl: The good news is that it doesn't actually look like it's going to rain, as it was supposed to according to an earlier forecast. :thumbsup2
CARPITY CARP CARP CARP
OH- update on the friends who wanna go to WDW in 3 weeks...We talked them into just going to MK for a day, convincing them not to bother with other stuff (they have a 2 yr old). They may go to sea world as well.
I need some advice: what should we do as far as non disney (:scared1: ) property stuff? We will be in orlando for a few days (4 or 5 ) with no disney park tickets (dtd is already on the agenda).
Wait, does it need to be non-parks, or just non-Disney parks? My ideas, in no particular order...
Universal/IOA
World of Sports (never been, but might be worth chekcing out for half a day?)
mini-golf
Dinosaur World
Gatorland
Outlet mall
Celebration
Movie (at DtD or Celebration)
Universal/IOA/Sea World - There is a ticket you can buy called the Orlando Flex ticket that is good for all three parks plus I think Wet and WIld and something else. It is good for 7 or 14 days (???) and you can go to any of those places as many times as you want. If you check out Universal's website they have info on it.
Also Universal/IOA has City Walk (Their version of PI).
Gatorland is cool for a half day adventure.
The outlet mall is always fun.
Church Street Station used to be fun, but I think they may closed:confused:
I'm not V either... but we were at Busch Gardens (Tampa) twice during Xmas week last year. EMPTY!!! Really, we were shocked. I enjoyed B.G. very much. It's clean,the help is friendly and plentiful and you can get a killer muffin/coffee just inside the entrance. It's pretty affordable also. I will definitely make a return trip sometime. Be warned that the big draw there is roller coasters, so if you aren't a fan, I think you'd be disappointed.
If you go, you have to do the animal show. It's great!
G-luv....
I haven't gotten your flat yet. Did you send her out? I just want to make sure that nothing happened to her. I hate the thought of her wandering alone out there in the US Postal System....
Ok all this RN talk has good me quite confuzzled. :faint: Here in CA RN's are starting at 70K. The program I want to get into doesn't require any college degree, thankfully - as that would take me forever to get into. One of the larger teaching hospitals in the area would allow to come in on their LVN program and then bridge to their RN program. They would pay me a salary and pay for my schooling. Not a bad deal, eh? Only thing is you have to contract with them for 5 years after becoming an RN. I'm ok with that as they have a Trama center and a Birthing Center and those are the 2 of the 3 departments I am most interested in.
I say move to California, Lessa. ;)
T, you forgot to tell her the cost of living in CA. :faint:
The newspaper www.orlandosentinal.com has a calendar section every Friday you could check out. Maybe the Titianc at the Science Center or there's a Norman Rockwell exhibit somewhere, Friday nights there are movies in the park where you can bring your blanket & picnic, or anything V mentioned, Universal, Gatorland, shopping, etc. Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel did a weekend here non-park related. Maybe the website can give you some ideas too. What are your non-park days again & I'll let you know if I see anything.
I was just on the Virginia Beach general hospitals website and they give right out of school nurses a $15,000 signing bonus for signing a 3 year contract and a $2,000 moving allowance if from out of the area. Not bad, I wonder what the actual salary is. I would consider moving back to Virginia Beach. :rolleyes1
We went a few places non WDW when I was a child, but as an adult this will be my first trip off property. We are going to go to KSC one day and it looks like a lot of fun.
THat's a Big help guys... ( Hoping that rings true after Disney's little rate hike)
We have Busch here in Va.. and we were thinking of getting their "PLatinum pass this fall.. and be able to go to Busch, Water Country water Park HERE... PLUS... ALSO Be able to use the same Ticket for Busch and SeaWorld In Florida..
We have never gone... and right now we have NO DISNEY TICKETS.. so doing a NON Disney Vacation sounds GOOD and Different.We may get AP's again... but that would not be till Late Summer... Maybe "Fockerfest":rolleyes1 Even though Jo says she is not going:snooty:
ALso the 7 Day 2 park Deal ( EVEN THOUGH THAT TICKET WENT UP TOO:headache: :headache: ) for 100.00 a Person... also a Cheaper Vacation than Disney.. and a Different Park.
Trying to look at new stuff for next year.. I realy really want a beach trip... and we NEVER get to do one when we do Disney.
