Morning Fockers! :wave:

But I did stop by and pick up the Wii Active. :thumbsup2 You guys have convinced me.
Welcome to hell CE! :rotfl: :thumbsup2

So I ditiched work early and went hung out with my dad, my aunt and my cousin at Philadelphia Park (Race Track & Casino). Bet on a couple of races, played some poker machines lost money and came home! We had a great time though.
Sounds heavenly! :cloud9: I am sooooo ready for some time off.

Hey - can kids go to horse races? Leo would love to see some racing in person, but I wasn't sure if it's 21 and up just to watch. :confused:

V: AWESOME job on the weight loss. You've been busting your butt!!!
Thanks Mel! And everyone else who commented. :grouphug: I'm really, really proud of myself. And just a little bitter that it really takes this much work to get toned, lol!
I'm sad that NotBob has left town again. Not that it's a terribly long trip (he's home again on Thurs) but that he'll only be here for about 12 hours before he leaves for Japan.
Japan again? How long this time? :hug:

Buena Vista suites and their heavenly beds :cloud9:,
Wait a sec... BVS has Heavenly Beds now?!?!?! :yay: I know where I'm staying next time I go off-site - thanks Z!

the mayor announces yesterday that he has put a hold on all step increases and longevity increases in order to save money. Guess who was due a step increase...NEXT WEEK:mad:
:hug: I'm right there with you Janet; we had a salary freeze put into effect just after my last review... which was halfway through the fiscal year, so it'll be at least 1.5ish years before there's even a hope of an increase in my pay. Meanwhile, our health insurance is going up 8%. :sad2:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not much going on here. I'm just wishing the days and hours away until Leo comes home Sunday. :sad1:
I was saving this for my PTR, but since not everyone here is following it (no guilt trip intended!), and I like to share good information to as many as possible, I'll share here... I found the perfect item for doing laundry at WDW, on any other vacation, in dorms, in apartments, going to the laundromat, etc.
8738414707514P.JPG
It's a canvas laundry bag with a cardboard bottom and wheels! I'd been trying to figure out an easy way to drag our laundry around SSR without injuring myself in the process; this is perfect! I found it at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Click here.
Morning Fockers!
:wave:
Here they can. At Philadephia Park they even have a playground:thumbsup2
As are the gas, electric and water bills going up:sad2:
Oooh, I like. Does it fold up to fit in the suitcase or is it something I should have shipped right to my mother????
Cool! I'll have to see if we can go when race season starts back up. (They're off for the summer down here.)
Oooh, I like. Does it fold up to fit in the suitcase or is it something I should have shipped right to my mother????
Yep, it folds flat to the size of the base; figure maybe 14x14 inches or so. :thumbsup2
Today I am only taking a half day off. They are bringing in the one person they are interviewing for my manager's job. So I am going in around lunch to meet him.
Hope that goes well! :)
Well, the Universal trip is official--7/30-8/4, which I hope means I'm avoiding hurricanes. :banana::banana: I'm currently booked at RPR.
Hooray!!!
THe moves are supposed to be done today and by the end of the week my work life will be back normal...well as normal as things are around here.
That will be a relief. :hug:
Get this one though. Our contract was up July 1st. We agreed not to strike (our union not us in particular becasue my shop can't strike--we are like the cops:cool2:) anyway the mayor announces yesterday that he has put a hold on all step increases and longevity increases in order to save money. Guess who was due a step increase...NEXT WEEK:mad: The union is fighting it becasue we agreed to work under the old Collective Barganing agreement and the step and longevity increases are in that contract. We'll see what happens.
Gah! I hope that works out!
Welcome to hell CE! :rotfl: :thumbsup2
Thanks! :rolleyes: :rotfl: I was thinking about doing it last night, but the kids have a Lego Indy level halfway through (we run everything through our surround sound system, so the TV and all were getting input from the cable, but the Wii box itself can be left on.) I didn't want to deal with the drama, thinking they'd finish it off this morning before I even got up, but the long weekend finally caught up with them and they slept until 9:30! :faint: That NEVER happens.
I'm right there with you Janet; we had a salary freeze put into effect just after my last review... which was halfway through the fiscal year, so it'll be at least 1.5ish years before there's even a hope of an increase in my pay. Meanwhile, our health insurance is going up 8%.
That's no good. :hug:
*******************************************************
D and the boys didn't get home until about 11:00 last night again. As I said, they slept in about as late as I've ever seen - I was actually up first for once, on a non-school day.
I told my playgroup to come anytime from 10:00 on, and it's now 10:10 and no one's here. Only two moms are coming, and one has a tutor for one of the kids until 10:30, so I know she'll be later (she only lives about 7 minutes away.) The other is habitually late, so I'm not that surprised that she's not here yet. ;)
We had a couple of gorgeous days in a row - that stupid rainy pattern seems to have finally broken :cool1: - but today they are warning us about intense t-storms for the afternoon. :sad2: I guess that means indoor tennis, which is only an issue in that the kids will have to be in the supervised room inside, rather than playing on the playgrounds, while I have my tennis. They prefer to be free, but can't really be when we're inside. ;) My friend is coming today, though, so hopefully her girls will help keep them happy.
I don't know what D's going to do today. He's off, which usually means he tries not to work from home, even, but I don't know that he wants to hang with the gossipy ladies. :rotfl: He likes my friends, truly, but you know how that goes.
OK, I think I'm off. I'm realizing I didn't eat my own breakfast, so I should probably wolf that down before someone does actually show up. :lmao:
Have a good one! If everyone stays until about 2:00, and we have to go at 2:30 for tennis, I probably won't be back until after dinner - my tennis doesn't let out until 5:30. Hope everyone's day is great! :grouphug:
Oh well, we had fun drinking beer, eating hot dogs, and hanging out.
Mom left this morning and called dad about 4:30 to tell us that she was in South Carolina. I don't know where or I'd have Kate go check on her;) Dad leaves tomorrow morning. THen we will see them again in a month:yay:
Off to get in the pool with Jimmy. Have a good night everyone!:goodvibes
It is great that you had fun with your parents, they sound so sweet.
Tomorrow is Traditions! I can't wait to take it (except for the be-in-at-8am part). Afterwards I plan to speak to the manager who gives the class and see if there is something I can do about my back. I at least need to let them know about it. I'm kinda upset about that but it has to be done...
:hug: So sorry to hear about your back, I hope they can work with you.
I'm sad that NotBob has left town again. Not that it's a terribly long trip (he's home again on Thurs) but that he'll only be here for about 12 hours before he leaves for Japan. I really hope that this is the last trip for a while. I'm not used to THIS much travel. A little is ok, right CE? :rotfl:
:hug: So sorry that NotBob has to travel so much, it must be hard on you both.
I was looking at possibly renting DVC points for possible August trip, then saw that there's a deal at the Buena Vista suites and their heavenly beds :cloud9:, plus Disney has passoholer discounts. Ah decisons, decisions. :rolleyes: Gotta talk with my friends to see what they prefer and what we can afford. :guilty:
Have a good night everyone!
I hope you get a great deal!
Good Morning All !! I am VERY tired aftera 19 hour day!! Kristel I need an update !!!!!
Oh Rosie, you work so hard, please make sure to take care of yourself!
Oh and Chi and Omicron had a friend each stay the night with them last night so we have 7 kids in teh house. One more and you could call me Kate :laughing:
Do you hit your husband on the arm when he tries to talk and cut off every sentence he tries to say? :lmao:
Well, the Universal trip is official--7/30-8/4, which I hope means I'm avoiding hurricanes. :banana::banana: I'm currently booked at RPR.
Hoping for no hurricanes and that you have a great time!
I am so sorry to hear about the contract issues. I hope things get straightened out asap!
Not much going on here. I'm just wishing the days and hours away until Leo comes home Sunday. :sad1:
:grouphug: I hope the time flies by.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Good Morning everyone!! I was helping Bill get ready this morning when he started to shave so I thought I would check my email. (yes I am computer addicted) I had an email from SouthWest stating they had a 48 hour sale where the price would be either $30, $60, or $90. I had already purchased the flights down to MCO for $89. I thought I would just look. Well the flights were $60. I changed over the flights I had already booked and booked our return trip. So 6 round trip tickets were $838.00 I am THRILLED :banana::dance3::yay::cheer2::woohoo:.

Can you tell I am happy!! I hope everyone has a great day!

That is AWESOME! Hooray! :banana:

*******************************
Still no one. :confused3 My friend who will be late called, to be sure I knew she was coming late. ;) I said, "Yes, I knew." :rotfl2:

Oops, now I hear a car in the driveway! Talk to you later! :goodvibes

I was sooooo bored. I asked Bill if I could turn on the Wishes soundtrack to just keep me watching, he looked at me like I was weird or something :rotfl:.
:rotfl2:

With Doug home all week, the house was a wreck. Plus, since we don't have the patio in yet, every time it rains the dogs track in because apparently Doug can't take them out on a leash. :sad2: So I've been cleaning carpets and the kitchen floor.
Make him do them :idea:

Yak & Yeti serves these with a peanut sauce. Pretty good and they don't taste like prawns. :thumbsup2
Really???? Do they just melt in the mouth as that seems like a weird thing to make a meal of :rotfl2:

But I did stop by and pick up the Wii Active. :thumbsup2 You guys have convinced me.
Uh oh :rotfl:

Boy, I am old:sad2:
No you're not, I just started early :rotfl2:

Tomorrow is Traditions! I can't wait to take it (except for the be-in-at-8am part). Afterwards I plan to speak to the manager who gives the class and see if there is something I can do about my back. I at least need to let them know about it. I'm kinda upset about that but it has to be done...
Enjoy and hope your boss is OK about your back, did you tell them before you started?

First, Jo, NotBob and I have been dating since 1988 and married since 1992. Does that make us the winners???? LOL :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao:
Just :rotfl2:

Well, the Universal trip is official--7/30-8/4, which I hope means I'm avoiding hurricanes. :banana::banana: I'm currently booked at RPR.
Yay!!!!

Wooohoooo

Still no one. :confused3 My friend who will be late called, to be sure I knew she was coming late. ;) I said, "Yes, I knew." :rotfl2:
:rotfl2: Have fun!

Well I didn't get struck by lightening on the golf course but it wasn't far off :eek: Twice we sheltered because of it and the rain is now pouring, the grass needs it though :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Good answer.

2. It figures they will be there when I am there. That will be the group that I am constantly trying to get around becasue they are stopped in the middle of the walkway reading the map

:rotfl:

We ended up at my Aunt's house on the 4th for a pool party and BBQ. Andy's friend supplied us with some really awesome fireworks and we had a blast, until the cops showed up and busted us.:rolleyes1 There were some kids across the street with similar fireworks and they weren't fast enough to get away from the po-po, so they got busted. All our kids rans like good Mexicans and avoided any warning or fines.:lmao: Luckily the kids across didn't go to the clink or anything. We tangled with some cool cops.:cool2:

Oh T...:lmao:

Our city's fireworks were last night, we watched from our balcony. I was sooooo bored. I asked Bill if I could turn on the Wishes soundtrack to just keep me watching, he looked at me like I was weird or something :rotfl:. Our dog Ace actually watched the fireworks this year without freaking out, so it was a good night.

:rotfl:

So I ditiched work early and went hung out with my dad, my aunt and my cousin at Philadelphia Park (Race Track & Casino). Bet on a couple of races, played some poker machines lost money and came home! We had a great time though. Last race I always put $5.00 on the longest shot. In this case it was a horse whose colors were LIME GREEN and it went of at 45-1. That darn horse led the race until the last two furloughs:headache: If he had held on I would have won $250.00:sad2:

Sounds like a great time!

Tomorrow is Traditions! I can't wait to take it (except for the be-in-at-8am part). Afterwards I plan to speak to the manager who gives the class and see if there is something I can do about my back. I at least need to let them know about it. I'm kinda upset about that but it has to be done...

Cool! Hope you have a good day today and that you back is feeling better.

Glad to hear things will be settling down soon. Just in time for your vacation, huh. And sorry to hear about the whole contract thing. :hug:

God Morning again!! Got me a little sleep, but am still beat!!

:wave2: Hi Rosie!

Not much going on here. I'm just wishing the days and hours away until Leo comes home Sunday. :sad1:

******************************************************

Not much planned for me today. I need to get some laundry done and pick up a little. Just wanting to catch up on here before I get started on things.

Hope y'all have a Tuesday!

Hi Ya Fockers!

V - about kids and races - guess where I had my confirmation dinner:rolleyes1The Pegasus dining room at the Meadowlands Racetrack, yeah, reall appropriate.

Join the club with salary increase freezes and I can tell you about 90% of my clients have frozen and a couple even had across the board decreases. Sign of the times.

So how was everyone's 4th? (you too Jo) I don't what it is lately, even when I'm not busy I am, KWIM???

I'm sure you all heard about the Monorail driver, just breaks my heart, so young.

So looking forward to going away in September, haven't counted in Fuzzy days yet, but in actual its 67. Count in weekends, my birthday, Labor day and out of town for business trips and I think I go this month in Fuzzy time.

I had the urge to start packing this weekend, but instead hit up the trial size aisle in Target.;)

So one other bit of news, I started a round of shots in the other foot shortly after returning from DL. The width of the nerve should be 1.7 and as of yesterday it is still 5.2. Dr says I probably will need surgery in the Fall, he doesn't like to do that surgery in the summer with all the natural swelling from heat and humidity. We trying a few more shots to see but it's not looking good.:sad2:

Hope you are all well.

See you later!

Well I didn't get struck by lightening on the golf course but it wasn't far off :eek: Twice we sheltered because of it and the rain is now pouring, the grass needs it though :thumbsup2

Yikes! It poured for a minute here earlier, but it isn't right now - 62 and cloudy, though, and we're still under the severe t-storm watch.

Sounds like you have a busy day! Hope you have a good one.

It's been good so far - hope you have a nice relaxing one, too!

So how was everyone's 4th? (you too Jo) I don't what it is lately, even when I'm not busy I am, KWIM???

::yes:: Our weekend was great, but ridiculous as far as stuff going on, up through today. Starting tomorrow we'll be bored, though. :rotfl:

Playgroup was good - the kids were good and everyone was happy. They all left about a half hour ago. The one that came late is my tennis friend, so she's coming to the grown-up class tonight with me and bringing her kids, so my kids are thrilled. :thumbsup2 Her kids aren't in my kids' class that's first, though.

We've still got a few minutes before we need to go, so that's kind of nice - just in that I won't have to be freaking out to get the kids to hurry up and so forth. :thumbsup2

Oh HECK. I should not have had the Michael Jackson memorial streaming while I work - I'm a flipping wreck now! :sad1::sad1::sad1:

If you didn't watch, I highly, highly recommend catching it later. It was beautifully done (excepting some weird congressional thingie :confused3 ).

I'm off to mop up the mess I've made of my face now! :rolleyes:

:thumbsup2 Good answer.
Awww thanks :goodvibes

I think I go this month in Fuzzy time.

Really? I had absolutely no desire to watch. However if you get a chance, the finish of the Tour de France was amazing, if you haven't already heard the results. :thumbsup2

Good afternoon, we DVR'd the MJ memorial because Bill had a class and quiz. I was reading on a thread about Austin the monorail driver that got killed. Someone that rode up front with him gave the Orlando Sentinel a copy of the video they made. It really affected me, I was sitting here with tears streaming down my face :sad1:.

:hug: I'm with Angela and didn't watch, really didn't have a reason to, but if I can catch a repeat I might give it a go.

Quick hello!

Busy day today (haircuts, swimming, picnic, swim lessons, yada...) Tonight both kids have t-ball/baseball. I'm baking cookies for the team (I'm responsible for the snack).

I missed the memorial, but have the recaps on now, from CNN. Very sad. He was a very deep person, who was highly misunderstood in our world. :sad1:

Hope you are all well! Try to catch up later.

BTW- I'm taking recommendations for books to read, if you didn't see my FB status yesterday. Any other suggestions??

Hmmmm. What a coincidence, Z. I just looked at flights for Aug and it was $120 round trip, non-stop.

:idea::dance3::dance3::dance3::idea:

Sooooooooooooo, when are you both thinking of goingpopcorn::

Well like I said if I can pull off an August trip it'll be 8/14-8/16 :goodvibes So I'll definately :magnify:

Well, the Universal trip is official--7/30-8/4, which I hope means I'm avoiding hurricanes. I'm currently booked at RPR.

Wooo!!!!

Wait a sec... BVS has Heavenly Beds now?!?!?! :yay: I know where I'm staying next time I go off-site - thanks Z!

::yes:: We got a Queen suite and the beds in the actual room were :cloud9: (the pull out sucked)

Well I didn't get struck by lightening on the golf course but it wasn't far off Twice we sheltered because of it and the rain is now pouring, the grass needs it though :

What kinds of books do you like?
I answered your Host one here (I think).

Hi everyone!! :wave:

Had a really long day at work with All MJ all the time. :rolleyes:

I couldn't sleep last night and ended up falling asleep around 2 something only to be up at 5am to hit the gym then go to a class at work at 8am so I'm exhausted.

I'm gonna go take a long shower and relax and probably fall asleep.

Have a good night! :hippie:

Me either Angela!

Cool! I will PM you our plans for those days!
====================================

It's too quiet around here anymore:sad2: Not much planned for tonight. Stopped at the grocery store on the way home. Jim made dinner for breakfast and then we've just kind of been vegging out.

OMG, me too! I thought Barry Gordy's eulogy was so touching and moving and was thinking WTHeck is this politician person??

TE and I sat and cried out our eyes out. :guilty:

I missed the memorial, but have the recaps on now, from CNN. Very sad. He was a very deep person, who was highly misunderstood in our world. :sad1:
ITA, Jen.

BTW- I'm taking recommendations for books to read, if you didn't see my FB status yesterday. Any other suggestions??
I couldn't get into The Host, but I did get addicted to Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series. :thumbsup2 I'm currently reading Real Murders by Charlaine Harris and enjoying that as well.

Hi Everyone! Just had a few minutes to check in and catch up. Went and had my hair cut and then heading to the gym after dinner.
