It would be out of control by this next weekend when I'm off again.

I'm thinking that I need to mow today. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, and the grass will be too tall to bag on Thursday. D leaves tomorrow. I don't mind mowing, but I won't bag it. Luckily, we don't have that much grass - we have an acre, but over half of it is wooded.

I am so mad at Doug!

Though I'm glad it's not fraud...

I am just tired. D was having a "cant' sleep night" last night - I was surprised, as I knew he was stressed about the presentation yesterday, but he said it went well, so I figured he'd be happier after it was over. Anyway, one of those nights where he was tossing and turning, so I was, too. I know I did fall asleep before he did, but then this morning where I would have let him sleep in, he wanted to get up and going because he's heading up to the boat.

But then he was fooling around with the kids. They were having a great time, but I had to get up, because they'd been awake for 10 minutes, no one was dressed, etc., etc. We are not morning people, so we push the prep time as it is - there's not really a lot of spare moments for messing around, at least not BEFORE breakfast, getting dressed, etc. If they have some free time after, great.

So I had to go in and be the enforcer, which is .

They've just gotten on the bus, and D is walking the dog, so I have time to check in.

And he's wanting me to either skip tennis or bring the boys up after school, moving their tennis to tomorrow.

Here's why I don't want to: (it must be "Vent About Your SO Day" )
1. Thursday is the weeknight baseball game this week.
2. My cousin comes Friday, plus the town baseball league is having our night at the local AA pro baseball stadium, where our kids can parade around the field, etc. But that requires uniforms, which will be nasty after Thursday's game. I haven't heard from my cousin yet about when they think they'll get here, so I have to work that out - I had totally forgotten this when she called to say they were coming. I still totally want them to stay with us, but it's a really busy weekend for us, too.
3. Saturday we have the 9:00 game, and then the kids have a birthday party right after. I don't know how much my cousin will be around, but they'll be in the house, at least in the morning.
4. Sunday we have a rain make-up game at noon - again requiring laundry, figuring out my cousin's plans, etc.
5. Next week's weeknight game is, of course, Monday. (Go figure... )

None of this is that bad, but throwing in company is making me panic a little.

Anyway, I don't want to move tennis to tomorrow and then have 6 days of obligations in a row, including 3 school nights in a row. D is gone Wed. to Friday - not a long trip, but enough to miss out on a few of those things, plus not being around to do stuff like mow, clean up his mess in the dining room (he's been using the dining room table as a desk/office for yesterday's meeting prep) etc., etc.

I think I'm perfectly justified, but I also now feel guilty for not agreeing to either a nice married folks day out, nor a good family evening. Sigh...

Sorry, I'm venting. I will try to get in a better mood - I am going to play tennis, it's sunny, and it should be a nice day. If I mow this afternoon, I'll be outside...

Deep breath.

I'm going to have some breakfast and get ready for tennis. On another grumpy note, my new haircut, where I wanted some extra layers put in, in anticipation of letting it grow, apparently looks AWFUL after having been slept on. This is bad for me. As we all know, I don't usually shower before going into tennis, but I don't know if I can leave the house looking like this. (It looked very nice all dried and done yesterday, so I'm not upset about the haircut overall - just this one issue. )

So, I'm off to go soak my head. I'll be back later.

Then as Judy had her final appointment prior to her surgery and had a list I went looking !!! Now Whey Protein has never been on my list before , but super sleuth that I am I found it and in 6 flavors No less!!And now I am babysitting !! Oh Did I mention Mondays are my Day OFF

Hello everyone. Just checking in before I head off to work. Mimi wanted all the kids to stay the night with her last night so I am getting some quiet time this morning.

A couple of funnies I forgot to tell you about this weekend:

1. At church on sunday I was wearing white (Why I don't know), anyway Tau spilled my communion cup all over me so I was no longer wearing white when we left.
2. Hope you are not eating. Tau had ummmm something hanging out his nose and I cleaned it with a tissue. He got mad and said "Mommy no!!! That is my boooger!" Then he grabbed it.


And put it back in his nose.





Today I need to get my tires rotated for our trip.

3 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed. Incedentally, Mom just got her US open tix yesterday (She's a huge Nadal fan-she saw him play last year).
Things are finally getting back to normal for me. I'm happy because my DSIL gave the go-ahead for me to take the boys to Cirque when it is in Providence next month . Hopefully Rent tickets will be out soon so I can see if my niece wants to go to that.
Today would have been my dad's 75th birthday, so we're going out to dinner with my brother and DSIL (who has my Passporter-w00t!)

I have to go out today to register for summer classes. If I don't get to it today it'll have to be tomorrow. My dad is leaving for CA on Thursday and I want to get it done so he can watch my kids and I can get it done in peace and quiet.

Tennis was fun, my brows are pretty, and I had a successful Target run.

So, I'm in a better mood.

Plus, I just made myself a yummy tuna salad sandwich.

I talked to my parents on the way to tennis, as they were pulling into the clinic. Dad didn't get sick or anything last night, but didn't sleep much, either - just kind of uncomfortable. We'll see after today's two types of chemo (different than yesterday's) how he does. But, really, so far, so good.

I am not feeling the lawn mowing idea. Hmmm. Maybe I will start some mroe laundry and see where I end up. Maybe D can mow it tonight after dinner - it stays light for quite a while.

Speaking of hicI justgot my Verizon bil ad hgge racked up minutest way over our limit !!! I am LIVI to y the least He is of couse no longerr on it !! Judy is sooo upset !! Steph also racked up minutes so all of them ae in BIG trouble !! But HE was the worst!!

Nice relaxing day at home today. I worked last night despite my incredibly hoarse voice, everybody in the office made fun of me, nice.

Today I am not doing much, working on the trip photos some more and then this evening I am going to see Up again with Alek and Erich as they haven't seen it yet.

I have been freezing ever since I got home. Walking around wearing jeans and sweaters, it is June, where is the warm weather!

I know what you mean! Our heat kicked on yesterday morning - we had the thermostat turned down to 60! It was cold, but then warmed up to about 70. Today is better, thankfully.

CE had to play the part of “The Enforcer” at home this morning. Her Ddad is OK for now. Her eyebrows are done. She has too much to do for the weekend and D wants her to rearrange her schedule which is going to throw a huge wrench in everything. Plus she had to soak her head this morning which is also not a part of the game plan. Big hug to you, CE. Like I said, I do not know how you moms do it. Take it 1 step at a time. DEB actually got some quiet time this morning because the kids were with mimi. They leave in 3 days. Tau likes to hang on to his boogers. Now that is funny!

Busy day...the boys had dentist appointments this morning. All is well Then ran to the library to return books and went to the grocery store. We're here and I'm cleaning (still putting away laundry ) and #2 wants to read to me....so I'm off to the couch to listen to a story
