Yesterday we took Cappucino to the vet for his exam. Apparently he may or MAY NOT be a girl.... It's really hard to tell, I guess and the Dr. is still not 100% sure! They'll know for sure on Tuesday though. That's the "fixing" surgery... Not that it matters one little bit to me. I love him/her/it anyway! LOL

hi! Missed you!

I'm feeling this same way about Mrs. Potts. What if it turns out to be a Mr. Potts. Ill never know i guess. Until it gets older and certain areas start bulging....

Off to do :laundy:

I just watched glee. Anyone else see it? I thought it was good!

I'm SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!
Oh Dawn :hug::hug::hug:

Well, I'm having the worst migraine I've probably had in years. :sad2: Nausea, horrible pain, etc.
CE as others have said you need to get it checked out

And after looking at my calander I'm not going to have a single off day until we leave. :scared:
Get the kids to help, you can do it

My friend CJ decided to have a party this weekend, and invited me to come down and spend the whole weekend with her. Im very excited because we havent had a lot of quality time together lately, but weve been talking alot and all of a sudden gotten much much closer in the past few weeks.
Have fun :goodvibes

:rotfl2: And welcome back Mel don't stay away so long again

I kept having weird dreams where D quit his job, and we would end up living in a hotel, trying to get him a job before we sold the house. I think I'm stressing for Dawn! ;)
:rotfl2:

Jess just came home from Guides crying and I flipped at her, she's almost 13 but often acts like a baby. You know they're going camping next week well she has been put in a tent without her friends, the 2 girls she's with are both lovely but are a year younger. Anyway it's the end of the world :sad2: We've had a chat now, after all the screaming from me ended :rotfl2: and she's decided it's not that bad, kids :headache::rotfl2:

TWO WEEKS?!?! :faint: I'm pretty sure I'd die, lol! My max seems to be about 5 days before I have to get some kind of bread in me. But it does cleanse my sugar cravings so I can go back to eating healthy again... until the next SweetTarts craving.
OOPS:rotfl2: I just checked my calander and I think it might have been only 5 days!!

Goo dluck. You can do it:thumbsup2
Thanks!

As icing on the cake...My dear dear friend Vega came home!
Yea!! and my vote is drive if you think your car will make it. Sorry I guess I am just too independent and personally couldn't stand bumming a ride all weekend.

I love him/her/it anyway! LOL

 I'm sure it will turn out, but I can understand your frustration.

Essentially, I slept all day. I have done two loads of laundry now, though. I kept having weird dreams where D quit his job, and we would end up living in a hotel, trying to get him a job before we sold the house. I think I'm stressing for Dawn! ;)
tHanks. And what a crazy dream :rotfl:

Leaving for home in 10 minutes. :woohoo:
Tonight I want to do some more laundry. Clean the living room and my bedroom. We destroyed both rooms while chasing down mice over the weekend. No, its not over yet. We've caught 11 so far and know of at least one more that keeps eating the food off the traps without setting them off  This is so disgusting and I can't wait til they are all gone.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Chi got accepted into the gifted program. THere were only 13 2nd graders (out of about 150) accepted this year and I am just so super proud of her. :cloud9: Then at the awards ceremony in her classroom last night the teacher just kept bragging on her of what a brilliant child she is. She's just like me :cloud9:

Hmmm. I just had a test in April, but it's a thought. This one could be, um, cycle related, but that doesn't explain last week's or the week before, though they weren't as bad.
I meant to mention this with the "poof GONE quotes" but have you asked your ob/gyn if it could be bc pill related? I had to stop them because of the headaches! You need that. Migraines are THE worst!

Sounds like sympathy stress! I hate when I have dreams like that. It's hard to shake the feeling later.

hi! Missed you!
Thanks Sam. I don't know about guinea pigs, but I can tell you that the poor vet practically had to Xray Cap and he still doesn't know! LOL

Ok, I won't. :rotfl: Life has been so busy!!!

Got boys picked up and made my daily trip to the grocery store! UGH! We're having pizzas tonight. Just sauteed some onion, pepper, mushrooms for mine. Yummy!
Today I biked 10 miles. That's good since I didn't go at all yesterday with Gus home.

Tonight we're going watch Madagascar 2......again......

Hi everyone!

I've been lurking a bit the last couple of days. Here are some      for those in need! Just a couple quick call outs from earlier today-

CE - Sorry about the migraine. Feel better!

Dawn - That's just awful.

Mel - Sorry to hear about the computer crash. Glad to hear you made it to the gym today. :thumbsup2

Janet - Glad(??) to hear you have laundry again in your future. :laundy: Congrats on the new washer/dryer. I think we may be in the market for a new dryer, or at least a repair visit on the current one. It's not heating up properly.

Debra - You've got your work cut out for you. It sounds like you don't even have time to breath at the moment. Good luck with it all! And, have a great trip to Disney to relieve some of the stress that's built-up.

Jo - Pass along my b-day wishes to Ellie! Sounds like some great presents.

Lori - Congrats on the first grader! :woohoo: I can't believe I've got one heading to middle school. :faint:

Kristel - I hope all is well after last night.

T - I'm looking forward to the pictures of your visit with Mo. Now, all I need is some extra time to actually keep up with this thread.

V - Congrats on the no carb zone! I need to get myself back on track after the last few months.

Z - Sorry about the vet bill.

Sam - I like the iPhone as a device but until they reach some kind of arrangement with Verizon I'm kind of out of luck. Hope you enjoy that party this weekend. I've got relatives visiting from Fri-Sun, so I'm doing my best to get the house organized from the its usual chaotic state. Well, actually, I'm doing a pretty good job of avoiding that right now.

Hi to everyone else, and sorry if I missed responding to you directly! :wave2:
-------------------------------
I'm hanging around the house at the moment waiting for the repair person to show up to fix our phone. It's been out since Saturday. :confused3

My aunt and uncle are visiting this weekend, so I should be organizing the house. But, I'm not feeling terribly motivated. I made it through the dishes and remotely did some work on my office computer, but I'm feeling overwhelmed by the chaos around me. At the moment, I'm contemplating the spare bedroom where we need to put up the relatives, and I see oodles of girl scout stuff - badges, camping gear, manuals. Jenny and I both work on an organized chaos approach, so I'm hesitant to move anything, or I may disrupt her organizational system for the chaos I perceive. :rolleyes1 In any case, it will all get done between now and when they arrive on Friday.

It's been a busy few months between working (and scrambling for more work), some traveling (family event in DC and cub camping trip), trying to keep a modest hold on stuff around the house, and dealing with the various end of school year events/tasks (camp planning, Disney planning :woohoo:, etc.). Jenny's been pretty much in the same boat. Still no job lined up for next year, but she's working on it.

We have made some progress on our Disney planning. We'll be at SSR from 7/8-7/17. We'll actually be leaving on 7/7 and stopping in Gainesville. I'm thinking I should call member services and put in a room request. Any thoughts on that? I'm thinking near a pool would be a pretty good start.

Here's our current ADRs. We're going to try to make use of the kitchen for breakfast most mornings and for an occasional lunch and/or dinner.

7/9 - CP lunch
7/10 - Flying Fish dinner
7/12 - 'Ohana breakfast - followed by day for visiting friends and relatives in Tampa area (V- let us know if you're around that day, and maybe we can schedule a mini-meet)
7/13 - Le Cellier lunch
7/14 - Chef Mickey dinner
7/16 - Mama Melrose Fantasmic package

Each family member got to pick one TS, and we threw in the Fantasmic package beyond that. Any thoughts or suggestions? We're probably going to go with a DDE card for TS discounts. The dining plan doesn't seem to be as good an option for us when we ran some typical numbers.

Any way, I think the phone guy just got here, or I've got a white Comcast van parked in front of the house for no reason. I'll pop back in a bit.

TTFN!

OOPS:rotfl2: I just checked my calander and I think it might have been only 5 days!!
:rotfl2: but still...good for you for 5 days!:thumbsup2

and my vote is drive if you think your car will make it. Sorry I guess I am just too independent and personally couldn't stand bumming a ride all weekend.
I think i will drive. I just really like having my car and the freedom.

Chi got accepted into the gifted program.

:cheer2: I still remember taking that GATE test and it was so wierd. The gate program is really great. congrats to her!

I hope your mice problems end soon. Did you try the peanut butter? You have to keep switching stuff up because they learn what to avoid pretty quick. I didnt realize you had so many!

Congrats! We found out DS6 was one of the 2nd graders accepted for TAG. I went to the orientation program this AM, and then his awards ceremony. Tomorrow, we have DD11's elementary school graduation in the morning. The last week of school is always so hectic.

Leo sounds a whole lot worse thanks to the cough, but feels a whole lot better. (Lori, I think he and Linds have the same thing!)

Gramma... is being a royal PITA this week. If this continues, she'll find herself banished to the Poly lobby all weekend. ;)

It's still raining. And I've been carb-free for 4 days, preparing for WDW. All I can think of right now is a hot, fresh Main St. Bakery cinnamon roll. Must... be... strong...

Yep, sounds like Leo and Linds have the same thing. Hope he (and you) feel better soon.

:rotfl2: to Gramma and I like Janet's suggestion.

Good Luck with the no carbs! There is no way I could do it.

No graduation ceremony? JImmy's school doesn't do one...they have "move up day". He isn't done until the 12th of June. We will have to get our 1st graders together:thumbsup2

Nope, no graduation ceremony. I guess their Music Program is sort of like it but we don't get the diploma and all that other stuff. :rotfl: She came home with her backpack bulging though full of crap.

Dryer Update:

Went to Sears (thanks for the advice everyone!) Got a washer and dryer, delivery, set-up, and haul away the old stuff for less than $1000 AND 0% interest for 12 months. Can we get a :yay::yay::yay: They could have delivered it Thursday, but I paid an extra $10 for them to deliver it on Saturday. I have never been so excited to do laundry:lmao:

Awesome deal!!! :woohoo: And WTG Jimmy for doing so well with t-ball.

Thanks Jo. :goodvibes

I'm so angry right now I can barely stop crying. Our agent just called and said that the buyers moved the closing from this afternoon until tomorrow afternoon.

I'm so mad about how this has taken a toll on my family. LAST week they had us get moved out so we could give over the house on Friday. All my stuff is in storage and I'm paying for that because they are idiots who won't do what they are supposed to.

All the girls' costumes are in the moving truck and can't be gotten to, so after a year of hard work, my girls don't get to be in their class pictures.:mad::mad: B's especially upset since she won't be in the team pictures. Not to mention tomorrow is B's 12th bday and she will be stuck at her grandma's AGAIN.

I'm SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!

:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

I'm glad you had a good day. to having a first grader.

Thanks CE. :goodvibes

I just don't know when I am going to get everything done. :sad1:

 It'll all work out and then you'll be able to enjoy your vacation.

So now im trying to decide if i should drive my car down, or take the train. If i take the train ill have to bum rides from people which could be kinda difficult. but id like to not put as much stress on my car too since its old (44 Years) Suggestions?

Sounds like you'll have a really great weekend. :thumbsup2 And I would think having your car might be better than having to rely on rides from people. Sometimes that can be a really hard thing to count on and I like my freedom too much to have to worry.

LOL

Hope everyone is well. if you need one!

Last Day of Kindy-May 2009
May2009077.jpg

Our babysitter stopped by on Monday and wanted to take Linds out for a girls night but since she wasn't feeling that well postponed it until today. So she's off to dinner and a movie with the sitter.

DR's watching Hercules but I think is probably asleep by now. Dinner is in the oven and smells sooooooo good! I'm making chicken and the marinade I used smells mouth watering!

He and I are going to walk up to Dairy Queen later on with the dog and get some ice cream. He had a meltdown when Lindsey left and was mad that he couldn't go. He'll be going with her and her husband on Saturday to some race car dirt track thing and Lindsey will stay here but he just doesn't get it and feels that it is his turn (and technically it is but since its Lindsey last day of school Diane wanted to do something for her). Oh well, I'm sure the nap will do him some good along with the walk and ice cream. :thumbsup2

OK...well, I hear my dinger dinging for the chicken. Hopefully I'll be back later tonight.

I just watched glee. Anyone else see it? I thought it was good!

That's terrific!

I meant to mention this with the "poof GONE quotes" but have you asked your ob/gyn if it could be bc pill related? I had to stop them because of the headaches! You need that. Migraines are THE worst!

See, that's why I'm so befuddled. We switched me to the "only 4 days off" pill, and since then, for over a year, I was nearly migraine free. I thought we had the solution. Then, just within the last month, they are flaring like mad. :confused3 My mom's have always been weather related, so I think that there's some of that going on, but I don't know why else.

CE - Sorry about the migraine. Feel better!

Thanks, I do now! :goodvibes

Jenny and I both work on an organized chaos approach, so I'm hesitant to move anything, or I may disrupt her organizational system for the chaos I perceive.

See, that's smart. I, too, have organized chaos, and when some well-meaning (or possibly meddling :rolleyes1) MIL tries to fix it, it just screws me up big time. Good man!

Congrats! We found out DS6 was one of the 2nd graders accepted for TAG. I went to the orientation program this AM, and then his awards ceremony. Tomorrow, we have DD11's elementary school graduation in the morning. The last week of school is always so hectic.

Awesome for him! Congrats to her! I only wish it was the last week of school... ;)

 I know you said you were feeling a little better but still try and take it easy.

I sat in the sun at the boys' tennis, and it put me in a ridiculously good mood - and for now the headache's gone. :thumbsup2 I need to get to working on the burgers, though. D got stuck pretty late at work and isn't home yet - and I'm noticing it's already 6:00. Whoops. :lmao:

Hey, there, stranger!

I want to watch it. I thought it sounded like my kind of thing.

Glee is a new show in fox this fall, but they had a preview episode last night. It was about a highschool glee club going through transitions. It was kinda like high school musical. There is a guy from the football team that wants to sing, but cant ruin his reputation etc. Then theres the drama queen who just wants to sing and dance, etc. The end was....moving i guess. It was really good and now i cant wait. That and 90210 and house will be my shows to look forward to, and lost of course. lol

BTW you guys can watch it on hulu.com i love this website now. all of your shows in one place.:goodvibes

We've been watching a lot on hulu. Because D's gone so much, we actually had some shows not record totally on our DVR - we ran out of space. So, we catch up on hulu. Love it! It's not as good as our big TV, but I have a 17" laptop, which isn't too bad. :thumbsup2

Maybe you could output the video and audio from your laptop to the big TV. I've got a mini-tower system sitting next to our TV, and the TV works as the monitor for DVDs, Blu-rays and streaming Internet video. You should be able to match up the outputs from your laptop with the inputs on the TV.

UGH...I am so jealous! My dad and brother will be helping my uncle move from CA back home here to OH. They'll be leaving at the beginning of June and will be gone for 3 weeks. While the kids and I will love the peace and quiet of the house and just us I would love to do a road trip like this. Of course the whole help pack everything and then load it up into the moving van doesn't sound fun. Been there, done that quite a few times, and am very happy to be where I am.

I just keep telling myself it'll be something for the kids and I to do when they get a little older. ;)

Hi Guys!

Just a quick drive-by post. I did read.

Dawn: Major  That is just too frustrating. pixiedust::

Sam: I saw Glee and liked it too. :goodvibes Let's see how it holds up. It was slow in some parts, but still good. I don't think it will last too long and may go the way of Pushing Daisies which was also a good quirky show that didn't survive too long.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Not much with me. I was very tired today and missed the gym, but I usually give myself a day off anyway.

Took my cat Orion to the vet for his follow up and so they can get a urine sample. All his results came back fine so thank goodness for that. The vet thinks the shot she gave him for parasites may be taking effect since she didn't find anything in his urine. So my little furbaby is home and resting. :cat:

Well, I'm having the worst migraine I've probably had in years. :sad2: Nausea, horrible pain, etc.
Hope you are feeling better.
Jess just came home from Guides crying and I flipped at her, she's almost 13 but often acts like a baby. Did anyone answer on SSR?

The Springs is right across from the main pool. The bar at the pool also has a drink station where you can refill your mugs.
The Grandstand is across from the other pool that has a splash zone. We've never been to that one, so I don't know a lot about it.
The Paddocks are furthest away from everything and is the section everyone on the dis complains about getting. We stayed there once and liked it. That section is the newest and our room still looked brand new (this was in 2007, though) and I'm pretty sure it is the first bus stop to the parks.

*********************************************

Hello everyone! Janet, did you decide what you are going to say about your job to the kids? Taking Carrie's suggestion? :rotfl2:

My laptop is on the verge of dying. The screen keeps going white. It is sporadic. I'm going to keep using it until I find a good deal on a new one - as long as I can, at least. We will take this one and put it in ds's room. We were not planning on getting him a computer for his room, but I can get an external monitor for $100 and he'll be able to use this one whenever he wants. Of course, we have a desktop, but it's in the office (in the basement) and he never wants to go down there to use that one.

I have to go to school today for ds's award recognition/class party.
We have a busy weekend. Ds is having a friend spend the night tomorrow. It is also their last day of school. Saturday night we are having some friends over. We are super excited about Monday. Mr and Mrs T invited us over for a cookout. Tuesday we are going to Wilderness at the Smokies in Tn for 4 nights.

We've caught 11 so far and know of at least one more that keeps eating the food off the traps without setting them off  This is so disgusting and I can't wait til they are all gone.
OMG :faint: Hope you get them all soon!!! And big congrats to Chi that's awesome :thumbsup2

Said it before, I'll say it again. THANK goodness I don't have girls!!!!! :worship: I'd be a yelling Mel too.... :rotfl2:
:rotfl2:

Hi everyone!
Hi David, good to see you :goodvibes

Ahh...Those teen years.:rolleyes1 Hopefully, she's okay with it now.
Yep but she's got 2 more months before she's a teen :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

:wave2: Happy Wednesday
Hi

So it's official...I have a 1st grader!
She definitely looks as though she's grown!!!

Maybe you could output the video and audio from your laptop to the big TV. I've got a mini-tower system sitting next to our TV, and the TV works as the monitor for DVDs, Blu-rays and streaming Internet video. You should be able to match up the outputs from your laptop with the inputs on the TV.
Huh??? :rotfl:

Took my cat Orion to the vet for his follow up and so they can get a urine sample. All his results came back fine so thank goodness for that. The vet thinks the shot she gave him for parasites may be taking effect since she didn't find anything in his urine. So my little furbaby is home and resting.
Great!

Well it seems the tent situation isn't all bad, she's the leader in the tent, when I heard that I couldn't believe it :rotfl2: The 2 girls she's with are lovely and she's in charge can't get much better than that I don't think!

I got a bargain vase this morning at the supermarket it was reduced to 28p which is about 40 cents :thumbsup2 It's quite nice too!

Z: Glad the kitty is doing better! :goodvibes

Jo: I want to see the 28P vase! You can't go leading us on like that and not show us....:rotfl2:

Mary: Oooh. Have fun in TN. I want to know all about it! Congrats to DS for his award! Oh, and we stayed at the building RIGHT next to the pool in the Grandstand. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! Can't say enough!

Well, it's cool still which is good. I got the windows open to get some cool air in here. It's going up to 85 later, so that will be pretty warm! I am going to drop Gus at school and then come back and clean. Hopefully, I can get the majority of it done and then go to the gym for a while. That's the plan, anyway.

I went to bed at 9:30 last night. I've been exhausted lately (don't know why) but I definitely needed the rest. Feeling a bit more human now. :confused3

Hope you guys all have a great day!
Oops, one more thing.............
Happy Birthday, Baylie!!!
