Welcome to the new thread everyone. Help yourself to the smoothie and juice bar.

I apologize that I haven't been here. I'll catch up with you guys tomorrow night or Thursday. I'm just too tired right now.

Thank you again for the kind words. My Minnie will now be in honor of TWO grandmothers--my new motivation not to get swept!

Thanks for stopping by. Have some fruit before you go. Got to keep up the potassium!

Duckie

Duckie - I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. Definately take as much time as you need to get things in order. I have talked with steffwalks and although I don't have access to the spread sheet her and I are willing to get together and make sure all of the spread sheet info is correct and up to date. Let me know if there is anything else that I can do to help.

I did my run yesterday.... 3 miles in 20:45!! If you guys can't tell I am trying my hardest to go sub 20 on a 3 mile run!! So I have found that on my6 short 3 mile runs I am pushing myself really hard. Still have another 14 miles on tap for the week. Hope everyone else is having a wonderful week!! Keep up the good work!!

Dana

Duckie - can you please post the link to the spreadsheet? TIA!

Wow, team 5 has gotten pretty quiet it seems. How is everyone doing?

My week has been pretty busy so far. Here are the details:

Mon - Fit Ball - 1:00
Tue - Biking to and from work - 8.46 mi in 49:12
Tue - Running - 3.24 mi in 33:13
Wed - Running - 4 mi in 43:17

The plans for the rest of the week include:
Thu - Biking to and from work, running 2 mi
Fri - Biking to and from work
Sat - 9 mi
Sun - Bike ride

We'll see how it all goes!

Week ending 3/21: 72.88 miles, 4:10
Week ending 3/28: 66.56 miles, 4:02
March: 182.38, 12.36 hours

Week ending 4/4: 24.00 miles, 3:20
Week ending 4/11: 154.46 miles, 7:18 (doubling a 65.88 mile local bike race sure helps)

Sorry for the big lull in posting, prepping for yet another deployment, which means my totals will be coming in big bursts like this one while I'm over there...

Got out there again this morning. 3 miles steady run 23:34. That makes a total of 9 miles already this week!! YAY!! Now if I can just avoid getting sick again then I'll be all set!

Dana

Just got in from yet another day of W3 of the C25K.

28 minutes
2.16 miles

Today was the first truly warm day I have ever run in. I started this in the winter and today it is about 70. Man what a difference. Started nice, felt good, and then just felt so hot! I think I kind of like running the cold better, I can't believe I am saying that.

Duckie - I was just checking over the spreadsheet and I think some of my numbers are still a little off. I think part of the reason they may be off is that I keep record of all my excersize where my week ends on Saturday, and it seems that the spreadsheet keeps them listed as the week ends on Friday and STARTS on Saturday. I went through and adjusted my training log so that my weeks also START on Saturday and these are the numbers I have come up with. I am going to list them again, so you can double check. I would really like for all the numbers to match.... I'm kind of OCD about things like that!!

Week Ending:
Mar 14, 2008 - 11 Miles 1:34:10

Mar 21, 2008 - 16 miles 2:20:02

Mar 28, 2008 - 6 Miles 1:19:13

Apr 4, 2008 - 13 Miles 1:46:06

I went to the doctor and my sciatic (?) nerve is inflamed. So, I'm on rest, cat sitting, and happy pills for a few days. They made me miss work too. So, I'll go pout at the juice bar. :guilty:

BUT! You can add 45 minutes of shoveling and five miles.

Do they know what is causing it, my DH and I both dealt with sever sciatic pain for a year. Ours was from a herniated disc in our back (yes, both of us). Hope you feel better soon.

OK sorry I do not post that much over here I am always on weekly thread and I feel bad because I don't feel like we have much team bonding going on so we should work on that this week.

Seriously totals for the week:

16.6 miles
158.5 minutes
100 minutes Body Pump

 GO TEAM!!!!!

Oh dear, I hope it isn't that. They haven't figured out what is causing it. I hope it's nothing that serious, I don't want to do surgery or anything like that. I'm not real keen on being on the heavy duty meds they have me on now.

Gecko - so sorry to hear about your back! I hope the rest helps you out.

I didn't mean to scare you, I know lots of people who have dealt with sciatic pain for lots of different reasons. I'm sure you will be fine, I just know how painful it can be and I hate taking those pain pills too!!

Yea, I know there's a bunch of causes for the pain, I just really want to be recovered, learn how not to do it again, and move on with my life and training. One of the major side effects of this was the worst case of cabin fever. The day I was told, it was a sunny, glorious day here. Winter finally lets go in NH, and I'm on rest.

Week of April 5th through April 11th

6.3 miles
84 minutes

(I think?) :)

Today I did Week 3 C25K for my 6th day of it.

28 minutes
2.1 miles

I am moving on to W4 on Tuesday. I have to as Nike would say Just Do It. I did Week 3 twice and I think it is a big mental block for me to move on. But I did it today, got through the whole thing and I just have to try Week 4. On paper it just looks daunting to me but I can't stay in W3 forever!

Okay as lame as it is, I'm counting it.

Just walked the dog for .70 miles (I'm pressed for time) and it was about 10 minutes. Walked half of it/ran half of it. I wanted to see how he did running with me. He's a bit of a nut but he did okay. He didn't stop to smell the whatever that much and seemed to enjoy it. Does anyone else take their pooches along on runs?
