Cast: Me aka Stitch - 25 my fifth trip
Liz aka Captain Hook – 27
Laura aka Sulley.
Here we are
and from the front - showing off
We started off in our home counties and met in London. We picked Laura up from St Pancras and went to the Euston travellodge where we were staying.
We then went to Nandos in Soho and on to see the matinee of Avenue Q at the Wyndams. Laura and I went back to the hotel as Liz had another show to catch. We ate and when Liz came back we went to sleep ready for the Eurostar the next morning.
DAY ONE
Sunday
We got up at about 7.20 and arrived for tea and a croissant and onto the train. We giggled the whole way there. Laura has a cuddly meercat toy called Sergio who was joining us on the trip!
The change at Lille was interesting but we managed it and finally arrived in Disney.
We reached the Cheyenne but we were too early for our room but not early enough to warrant going to the park and coming back so we went to the red garter saloon for a cup of tea. It was the longest hour I’ve ever spent! We ended up playing a movie quiz on my iphone to stop us watching the clock!!
We were put in Butch Cassidy room 2390, which is furthest away from the door and almost furthest away from the park, but after 3 years of being put at the other end it was bound to happen. So we got ready to go to the park...
And then it started to rain.
We got our ponchos and raincoats on and walked through Disney Village.
We were fairly hungry and I was excited about having a hot dog and ‘Disney chips’ (mayo and ketchup together!) so we headed to Casey’s corner. It’s always quite busy but you often find somewhere to sit. We watched the rain fall through the window and ate slowly hoping it would let up. It did and we headed to pirates. We LOVE this ride, and we try and make it the first one we go on.
We went on the Carosel (lucky we did as it was closed the rest of the days)
We went on Pinoccio (same again) and then headed to Small World.
The New generation show had started so we watched some of it from behind the stage which meant we could see the characters waiting to go on stage, limbering up!
Then it rained
And the party had to be cancelled before Sulley came on and Laura was gutted. We promised to catch it again.
We went on Buzz. I am so bad at this that I won’t let Laura or Liz sit with me, they have to share a buggy. My score is always appalling. I can’t work it out as in other things I have excellent aim!
When we came out it was dark and we decided it was ideal to go on The Phantom Manor, it was even more spooky to come out of it into the night! Finally before the park closed we went on Big Thunder Mountain. If you are there in the dark go on this ride it’s brilliant!
We went back to Casey’s to get a hot chocolate and brioche in the souvenir mug. And then home to listen to Beaty anf the beast story that’s on the TV (the English language Disney channel didn’t work – the fairy tales didn’t work after the first night)
Then I got up into the top bunk (!) and we all slept.
